Using the model based on the Regge-like laws, new analytical formulas are obtained for the moment of inertia, the rotation frequency, and the radius of astronomical non-exotic objects (planets, stars, galaxies, and clusters of galaxies). The rotation frequency and moment of inertia of a neutron star and the observable Universe are estimated. The estimates of the average numbers of stars and galaxies in the observable Universe are given. The Darwin instability effect in the binary systems (di-planets, di-stars, and di-galaxies) is also analyzed.

Abstract We initiate the study of Regge theory in a bottom-up holographic model for QCD in the Veneziano limit, where the backreaction of the quarks to the gluon dynamics is included. We determine the parameters of the model by carrying out a precise fit to the meson spectrum in QCD. The spectrum for spin-one and pseudoscalar mesons is well reproduced. We then generalise the model to incluce higher spin fields in the bulk trajectories dual to the Pomeron and meson Regge trajectories at the boundary. With this setting, we fit the masses of the mesons with spins J = 2, 3, and 4, as well as the experimental data of the total cross-sections σ(γγ → X), σ(γp → X) and σ(pp → X). For the cross sections we obtain a $$ {\chi}_{\mathrm{d}.\mathrm{o}.\mathrm{f}}^2 $$ χ d . o . f 2 of 0.74 for a total of 199 experimental points.

Abstract The Operator Product Expansion is a useful tool to represent correlation functions. In this note we extend Conformal Regge theory to provide an exact OPE representation of Lorenzian four-point correlators in conformal field theory, valid even away from Regge limit. The representation extends convergence of the OPE by rewriting it as a double integral over continuous spins and dimensions, and features a novel “Regge block”. We test the formula in the conformal fishnet theory, where exact results involving nontrivial Regge trajectories are available.

The processes of dielectron production in deuteron–proton collisions at intermediate incident deuteron beam energies are analyzed in the spectator model within the one-pion exchange reggeized approach. We focus mainly on the momentum and angle distributions of the proton-spectator and the proton emitted in quasi-free NN processes at small angles in the laboratory frame. It is shown that the inclusion of many channels in quasi-free NN interaction allows us to describe the HADES data quite satisfactorily at incident deuteron kinetic energies of about 2.5 GeV.

The high-energy behavior of soft scattering observables such as total cross-sections, elastic scattering at small momentum transfer, diffractive dissociation and central production have been described successfully in the context of Regge theory, with the same basic structure holding as energies have increased. For elastic scattering and diffraction dissociation the defining energies were those of the ISR, the [Formula: see text] collider and the Tevatron. The elastic scattering data from the LHC demonstrate the continuing applicability of Regge theory. Preliminary data on diffraction dissociation promise to add to our understanding and now, for the first time, we can expect to test fully these concepts in central production. Although the latter is the principal objective of this discussion, understanding the first two is an essential prerequisite as they define the formalism and establish parameters.
