We investigate the asymptotic behavior of the technipion wave function in technicolor scenarios where extended technicolor interactions play a significant role in the chiral symmetry breaking of technifermions. We show that under this condition technipions will behave as almost point-like structures up to the extended technicolor (ETC) scale. Experimental consequences of this feature of the technipion wave function are briefly discussed.

Abstract The quark propagator at finite temperature is investigated using quenched gauge configurations. The propagator form factors are investigated for temperatures above and below the gluon deconfinement temperature $$T_c$$Tc and for the various Matsubara frequencies. Significant differences between the functional behaviour below and above $$T_c$$Tc are observed both for the quark wave function and the running quark mass. The results for the running quark mass indicate a link between gluon dynamics, the mechanism for chiral symmetry breaking and the deconfinement mechanism. For temperatures above $$T_c$$Tc and for low momenta, our results support also a description of quarks as free quasiparticles.

The center vortex model of quantum-chromodynamics can explain confinement and chiral symmetry breaking. We present a possible resolution for problems of the vortex detection in smooth configurations and discuss improvements for the detection of center vortices.

Mn(III) complexes with the non-chiral ligands, (E)-N-(2-((2-aminobenzylidene)amino)-2-methylpropyl)-5-X-2-hydroxybenzamide (HLX, X = H, Cl, Br, and I), crystallise as chiral conglomerates containing amide oxygen-bridged one-dimensional coordination polymers that exhibit weak ferromagnetism. The...
