It is shown, using multifractal data on space-filling bearings, that there exists a multifractal crossover to an effective 'capacity' dimension in some multiplicative processes. This result is then used to interpret recent experimental data on multifractal structure of multiplicity distribution in electron-positron annihilation at high energies.

Radiative decays of pseudoscalar and vector mesons are calculated in the frames of chiral Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. We use triangle quark loops of anomalous type. During the evaluation of this loop integrals we used two methods. In the first method we neglect the dependence of external momenta. In that case we reproduce the Wess–Zumino–Witten terms of effective chiral meson Lagrangian. In the second method we take into account the momenta dependence of loop integrals omitting their imaginary part. This enables us to take into account quark confinement. The application of both methods are in qualitative agreement with each other and with experimental data. The second method allows us to describe the electron–positron annihilation with production pseudoscalar and vector mesons in center-of-mass energy range from 1 to 5 GeV. Comparisons with the recent experimental data are presented.

The nonextensive behavior of entropy is exploited to explain the regularity in multiplicity distributions in [Formula: see text] collisions at high energies. The experimental data are analyzed by using Tsallis [Formula: see text]-statistics. We propose a new approach of applying Tsallis [Formula: see text]-statistics, wherein the multiplicity distribution is divided into two components; two-jet and multijet components. A convoluted Tsallis distribution is fitted to the data. It is shown that this method gives the best fits which are several orders better than the conventional fit of Tsallis distribution.

We study the moments of multiplicty distribution and its relation to the Lee-Yang zeros of the generating function in electron-positron and hadron-hadron high energy collision. Our work shows that GMD moments can reproduce the oscillatory behaviour as shown in the experimental data and predicted by quantum chromodynamics at preasymptotic energy, while it can also be used to distinguish electron-positron (e+e-) multiplicity data from hadron-hadron (pp and [Formula: see text]) multiplicity. Furthermore, there seems to be a link between the development of shoulder structure in the multiplicity distribution and the development of ear structure in the Lee-Yang zeros. We predict that these structures is going to be very obvious at 14 TeV. We argue that the development of these structures indicates an ongoing transition from quark-dominated soft scattering events to gluon-dominated semihard scattering events.

An account of the inclusive production of K mesons in electron-positron annihilation is given. The most recent measurements on the cross section are exhibited and compared with the predictions of the Lund model. The model gives a satisfactory agreement with the experimental data. The results from different experiments on cross section, the mean multiplicity per multihadronic event and various other characteristics are found to be consistent.

In this work we study the process e++e-→J/Ψ+ηc at energy [Formula: see text] observed recently at B-factories whose measurements were made by Babar and Belle groups. We calculate the cross-section for this process in the Bethe–Salpeter formalism under Covariant Instantaneous Anstaz. To simplify our calculation, the heavy quark approximation is employed in the quark and gluon propagators. In the exclusive process of e+e- annihilation into two heavy quarkonia, the cross-section calculated in this scenario is compatible with the experimental data of Babar and Belle.

This paper presents a detailed comparison of the recent experimental data on mean normalized shower multiplicity in proton–emulsion interactions (22.6–400 GeV/c) with the predictions of current theories of multiparticle production in hadron–nucleus interactions. It has been observed that the data favour both the Fishbane–Trefil two-phase model (TEM) and the Fan diagram dominance model (FDDM) over a wide range of target nuclei, although the agreement with the FDDM seems to be better.

We review recent experimental data on polarization asymmetry at intermediate and high energies. We include phenomenological interpretations of the data. In this review we examine the present status of polarization physics at intermediate and high energies. Special attention is directed to controversial experimental results as well as interpretations of the data. Our objective is to contribute toward the planning of future experimental facilities and experiments. For more detailed description and discussion of various experiments and phenomenological interpretations, we provide extensive references. Polarized-beam programs at the SLC (Stanford Linear Collider), HERA (Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator, and EPC (Electron Positron Collider) are not included in this review. Neither do we discuss the technologies of polarized ion sources, polarized targets, polarized beams, or accelerators.
