We discuss the possible interpretation of X(3872) as a DD* hadronic molecule with JPC = 2-+. Using the phenomenological Lagrangian approach, we studied its radiative and strong decay properties. We find that our model with about 97.6% isospin zero component explains the existing data nicely. We predict the partial widths of the radiative and strong decays of X(3872) and show that the measurement of the ratio [Formula: see text] may signal the nature of X(3872).

In previous works effective nonlocal SU (2)× SU (2) NJL model was proposed in which all the parameters are expressed through those of the fundamental QCD: current light quark mass m0 and average nonperturbative αs. The results for scalar and pseudoscalar mesons are in satisfactory correspondence to existing data. In the present work the same model without introduction of any additional parameters is applied for a description of masses and strong decay widths of ρ- and a1-mesons. The results for both scalar and vector sectors agree with data up to accuracy of the model.

With an effective Lagrangian approach, we give a full analysis on the NN → NNππ and [Formula: see text] reactions by exploring the roles of various resonances with mass up to 1.72 GeV. We find large contributions from Δ, N*(1440), Δ(1600) and Δ(1620) resonances. Our calculations also indicate sizeable contributions from nucleon poles for the energies close to the threshold. A good description to the existing data of different isospin channels of NN → NNππ and [Formula: see text] for beam energies up to 2.2 GeV is reached. Our results provide important implications to the ABC effect and guildlines to the future experimental projects at COSY, HADES and HIRFL-CSR. We point out that the [Formula: see text] at FAIR could be an essential place for studying the properties of baryon resonances and the data with baryon and anti-baryon in final states are worth analyzing.

We have performed a combined analysis of the free and quasi-free γN → η′N, NN → NNη′, and πN → η′N reactions based on an effective Lagrangian approach. Considering spin-1/2 and -3/2 resonances, we found that a set of above-threshold resonances {S11, P11, P13}, with fitted mass of about MR = 1925, 2130, and 2050 MeV, respectively, and the four-star sub-threshold P13(1720) resonance reproduce best all existing data for the η′ production processes in the resonance-energy region considered in this work.

Abstract Recently, the LHCb Collaboration has confirmed the state X(4140), with a mass $$M=4146.5\pm 4.5^{+4.6}_{-2.8}$$M=4146.5±4.5-2.8+4.6 MeV, and a much larger width $$\Gamma =83\pm 21^{+21}_{-14}$$Γ=83±21-14+21 MeV than the previous experimental measurements, which has confused the understanding of its nature. We will investigate the possibility of the $$\chi _{c1}(3P)$$χc1(3P) interpretation for the X(4140), considering the mass spectra predicted in the quark model, and the strong decay properties within the $$^3P_0$$3P0 model. We also predict the strong decay properties of the charmonium states $$\chi _{c0}(3P)$$χc0(3P) and $$\chi _{c2}(3P)$$χc2(3P). Our results show that the X(4140) state with the small width given in PDG can be explained as the charmonium state $$\chi _{c1}(3P)$$χc1(3P) in the $$^3P_0$$3P0 model, and high precision measurement of the width of the X(4140) is crucial to understand its nature.

AbstractWe systematically study hidden-charm pentaquark currents with the quark configurations $$[\bar{c} u][u d c]$$ [ c ¯ u ] [ u d c ] , $$[\bar{c} d][u u c]$$ [ c ¯ d ] [ u u c ] , and $$[\bar{c} c][u u d]$$ [ c ¯ c ] [ u u d ] . Some of their relations are derived using the Fierz rearrangement of the Dirac and color indices, and the obtained results are used to study strong decay properties of $$P_c$$ P c states as $$\bar{D}^{(*)} \varSigma _c$$ D ¯ ( ∗ ) Σ c hadronic molecules. We calculate their relative branching ratios for the $$J/\psi p$$ J / ψ p , $$\eta _c p$$ η c p , $$\chi _{c0} p$$ χ c 0 p , $$\chi _{c1} p$$ χ c 1 p , $$\bar{D}^{(*)0} \varLambda _c^+$$ D ¯ ( ∗ ) 0 Λ c + , $$\bar{D}^{0} \varSigma _c^{+}$$ D ¯ 0 Σ c + , and $$\bar{D}^{-} \varSigma _c^{++}$$ D ¯ - Σ c + + decay channels. We propose to search for the $$P_c(4312)$$ P c ( 4312 ) in the $$\eta _c p$$ η c p channel and the $$P_c(4440)/P_c(4457)$$ P c ( 4440 ) / P c ( 4457 ) in the $$\bar{D}^{0} \varLambda _c^+$$ D ¯ 0 Λ c + channel.

AbstractWe prove the global asymptotic stability of the Minkowski space for the massless Einstein–Vlasov system in wave coordinates. In contrast with previous work on the subject, no compact support assumptions on the initial data of the Vlasov field in space or the momentum variables are required. In fact, the initial decay in v is optimal. The present proof is based on vector field and weighted vector field techniques for Vlasov fields, as developed in previous work of Fajman, Joudioux, and Smulevici, and heavily relies on several structural properties of the massless Vlasov equation, similar to the null and weak null conditions. To deal with the weak decay rate of the metric, we propagate well-chosen hierarchized weighted energy norms which reflect the strong decay properties satisfied by the particle density far from the light cone. A particular analytical difficulty arises at the top order, when we do not have access to improved pointwise decay estimates for certain metric components. This difficulty is resolved using a novel hierarchy in the massless Einstein–Vlasov system, which exploits the propagation of different growth rates for the energy norms of different metric components.

AbstractWe argue that existing data on folk-economic beliefs (FEBs) present challenges to Boyer & Petersen's model. Specifically, the widespread individual variation in endorsement of FEBs casts doubt on the claim that humans are evolutionarily predisposed towards particular economic beliefs. Additionally, the authors' model cannot account for the systematic covariance between certain FEBs, such as those observed in distinct political ideologies.
