On the product of two Finsler manifolds , we consider the twisted metric which is constructed by using Finsler metrics and on the manifolds and , respectively. We introduce horizontal and vertical distributions on twisted product Finsler manifold and study C-reducible and semi-C-reducible properties of this manifold. Then we obtain the Riemannian curvature and some of non-Riemannian curvatures of the twisted product Finsler manifold such as Berwald curvature, mean Berwald curvature, and we find the relations between these objects and their corresponding objects on and . Finally, we study locally dually flat twisted product Finsler manifold.

AbstractIn this note, we study a new Finslerian quantity Ĉ defined by the Riemannian curvature. We prove that the new Finslerian quantity is a non-Riemannian quantity for a Finsler manifold with dimension n = 3. Then we study Finsler metrics of scalar curvature. We find that the Ĉ-curvature is closely related to the flag curvature and the H-curvature. We show that Ĉ-curvature gives, a measure of the failure of a Finsler metric to be of weakly isotropic flag curvature. We also give a simple proof of the Najafi-Shen-Tayebi' theorem.

Abstract. In order to assess the complex mixing of atmospheric anthropogenic and natural pollutants over the East Asian region, we present a modelling tool which takes into account the main aerosols which are to be found simultaneously over China, Korea and Japan during springtime. Using the mesoscale RAMS (Regional Atmospheric Modeling System) tool, we present a simulation of natural (desert) dust events along with some of the most critical anthropogenic pollutants over East Asia, sulphur elements (SO2 and SO2-4) and Black Carbon (BC). As regards a one-week case study of dust events which occurred during late April 2005 over an area extending from the Gobi deserts to the Japan surroundings, we satisfactorily model the behaviours of the different aerosol plumes. We focus on possible dust mixing with the anthropogenic pollutants from megacities. For both natural and anthropogenic pollution, the model results are in fairly good agreement with the horizontal and vertical distributions of concentrations as measured by in situ LIDAR, and as observed in remote data, PM10 data and literature. In particular, we show that a simplified chemistry approach of this complex issue is sufficient to model this event, with a real-time step of 3 h. The model reproduces the main patterns and orders of magnitude for Aerosol Optical Thickness (AOT) and species contributions (via the Angström Exponent) when compared with the AErosol RObotic NETwork (AERONET) data.

AbstractRecently, we developed a method for the study of holonomy properties of non-Riemannian Finsler manifolds and obtained that the holonomy group cannot be a compact Lie group if the Finsler manifold of dimension >2 has non-zero constant flag curvature. The purpose of this paper is to move further, exploring the holonomy properties of projectively flat Finsler manifolds of non-zero constant flag curvature. We prove in particular that projectively flat Randers and Bryant–Shen manifolds of non-zero constant flag curvature have infinite dimensional holonomy group.
