The focus of this work lies on proving the existence theorem of a unique state vector solution (Stvs) of the triple nonlinear hyperbolic boundary value problem (TNHBVP) when the classical continuous control vector (CCCVE) is fixed by using the Galerkin method (Galm), proving the existence theorem of a unique constraints classical continuous optimal control vector (CCCOCVE) with vector state constraints (equality EQVC and inequality INEQVC). Also, it consists of studying for the existence and uniqueness adjoint vector solution (Advs) of the triple adjoint vector equations (TAEqs) associated with the considered triple state equations (Tsteqs). The Fréchet Derivative (Frde.) of the Hamiltonian (HAM) is found. At the end, the theorems for the necessary conditions and the sufficient conditions of optimality (Necoop and Sucoop) are achieved.

The paper is concerned with the state and proof of the solvability theorem of unique state vector solution (SVS) of triple nonlinear hyperbolic boundary value problem (TNLHBVP), via utilizing the Galerkin method (GAM) with the Aubin theorem (AUTH), when the boundary control vector (BCV) is known. Solvability theorem of a boundary optimal control vector (BOCV) with equality and inequality state vector constraints (EINESVC) is proved. We studied the solvability theorem of a unique solution for the adjoint triple boundary value problem (ATHBVP) associated with TNLHBVP. The directional derivation (DRD) of the "Hamiltonian"(DRDH) is deduced. Finally, the necessary theorem (necessary conditions "NCOs") and the sufficient theorem (sufficient conditions" SCOs"), together denoted as NSCOs, for the optimality (OP) of the state constrained problem (SCP) are stated and proved.

This paper is concerned with studying the numerical solution for the discrete classical optimal control problem (NSDCOCP) governed by a variable coefficients nonlinear hyperbolic boundary value problem (VCNLHBVP). The DSCOCP is solved by using the Galerkin finite element method (GFEM) for the space variable and implicit finite difference scheme (GFEM-IFDS) for the time variable to get the NS for the discrete weak form (DWF) and for the discrete adjoint weak form (DSAWF) While, the gradient projection method (GRPM), also called the gradient method (GRM), or the Frank Wolfe method (FRM) are used to minimize the discrete cost function (DCF) to find the DSCOC. Within these three methods, the Armijo step option (ARMSO) or the optimal step option (OPSO) are used to improve the discrete classical control (DSCC). Finally, some illustrative examples for the problem are given to show the accuracy and efficiency of the methods.

The study of the differential-algebraic boundary value problems, traditional for the Kiev school of nonlinear oscillations, founded by academicians M.M. Krylov, M.M. Bogolyubov, Yu.A. Mitropolsky and A.M. Samoilenko. It was founded in the 19th century in the works of G. Kirchhoff and K. Weierstrass and developed in the 20th century by M.M. Luzin, F.R. Gantmacher, A.M. Tikhonov, A. Rutkas, Yu.D. Shlapac, S.L. Campbell, L.R. Petzold, Yu.E. Boyarintsev, V.F. Chistyakov, A.M. Samoilenko, O.A. Boichuk, V.P. Yacovets, C.W. Gear and others. In the works of S.L. Campbell, L.R. Petzold, Yu.E. Boyarintsev, V.F. Chistyakov, A.M. Samoilenko and V.P. Yakovets were obtained sufficient conditions for the reducibility of the linear differential-algebraic system to the central canonical form and the structure of the general solution of the degenerate linear system was obtained. Assuming that the conditions for the reducibility of the linear differential-algebraic system to the central canonical form were satisfied, O.A.~Boichuk obtained the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear Noetherian differential-algebraic boundary value problem and constructed a generalized Green operator of this problem. Based on this, later O.A. Boichuk and O.O. Pokutnyi obtained the necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the weakly nonlinear differential algebraic boundary value problem, the linear part of which is a Noetherian differential algebraic boundary value problem. Thus, out of the scope of the research, the cases of dependence of the desired solution on an arbitrary continuous function were left, which are typical for the linear differential-algebraic system. Our article is devoted to the study of just such a case. The article uses the original necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear Noetherian differential-algebraic boundary value problem and the construction of the generalized Green operator of this problem, constructed by S.M. Chuiko. Based on this, necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the weakly nonlinear differential-algebraic boundary value problem were obtained. A typical feature of the obtained necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the linear and weakly nonlinear differential-algebraic boundary-value problem is its dependence on the means of fixing of the arbitrary continuous function. An improved classification and a convergent iterative scheme for finding approximations to the solutions of weakly nonlinear differential algebraic boundary value problems was constructed in the article.

Abstract In this paper, we consider the existence of multiple positive solutions for the 2𝑛th order 𝑚-point boundary value problem: where (0,1), 0 < ξ 1 < ξ 2 < ⋯ < ξ 𝑚–2 < 1. Using the Leggett–Williams fixed point theorem, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of at least three positive solutions to the above boundary value problem. The associated Green's function for the above problem is also given.

AbstractPrevious studies showed that the dynamic equations for a porous fluid-saturated solid may lose hyperbolicity and thus render the boundary-value problem ill-posed while the equations for the same but dry solid remain hyperbolic. This paper presents sufficient conditions for hyperbolicity in both dry and saturated states. Fluid-saturated solids are described by two different systems of equations depending on whether the permeability is zero or nonzero (locally undrained and drained conditions, respectively). The paper also introduces a notion of wave speed consistency between the two systems as a necessary condition which must be satisfied in order for the solution in the locally drained case to tend to the undrained solution as the permeability tends to zero. It is shown that the symmetry and positive definiteness of the acoustic tensor of the skeleton guarantee both hyperbolicity and the wave speed consistency of the equations.

Abstract Sufficient conditions of solvability and unique solvability of the boundary value problem u (m)(t) = f(t, u(τ 11(t)), . . . , u(τ 1k (t)), . . . , u (m–1)(τ m1(t)), . . . . . . , u (m–1)(τ mk (t))), u(t) = 0, for t ∉ [a, b], u (i–1)(a) = 0 (i = 1, . . . , m – 1), u (m–1)(b) = 0, are established, where τ ij : [a, b] → R (i = 1, . . . , m; j = 1, . . . , k) are measurable functions and the vector function f : ]a, b[×Rkmn → Rn is measurable in the first and continuous in the last kmn arguments; moreover, this function may have nonintegrable singularities with respect to the first argument.
