This paper investigates the geometric aggregation operators for aggregating the interval-valued complex fuzzy sets (IVCFSs) whose membership grades are a special set of complex numbers. We develop some geometric aggregation operators under the interval-valued complex fuzzy environment, namely, interval-valued complex fuzzy geometric (IVCFG), interval-valued complex fuzzy weighted geometric (IVCFWG), and interval-valued complex fuzzy ordered weighted geometric (IVCFOWG) operators. Then, we investigate the rotational and reflectional invariances of these operators. Further, a decision-making approach based on these operators is presented under the interval-valued complex fuzzy environment and an example is illustrated to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach.

The fusion of multidimensional intuitionistic fuzzy information plays an important part in decision making processes under an intuitionistic fuzzy environment. In this chapter, it is observed that existing intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid aggregation operators do not follow the idempotency and boundedness. This leads to sometimes illogical and even absurd results to the decision maker. Hence, some new intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid aggregation operators such as the new intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid weighted averaging (IFEHWA) and the new intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid weighted geometric (IFEHWG) were developed. The new IFEHWA and IFEHWG operators can weigh the arguments as well as their ordered positions the same as the intuitionistic fuzzy Einstein hybrid aggregation operators do. Further, it is validated that the defined operators are idempotent, bounded, monotonic and commutative. Then, based on the developed approach, a multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) procedure is given. Finally, a numerical example is conducted to demonstrate the proposed method effectively.

In this paper, we focus on new methods to deal with multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problems and a new comparison law of interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy elements (IVDHFEs). More explicitly, the interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy 2nd-order central polymerization degree (IVDHFCP2) function is introduced, for the case that score values of different IVDHFEs are identical. This function can further compare different IVDHFEs. Then, we develop a series of interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy power Heronian aggregation operators, i.e., the interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy power Heronian mean (IVDHFPHM) operator, the interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy power geometric Heronian mean (IVDHFPGHM) operator, and their weighted forms. Some desirable properties and their special cases are discussed. These proposed operators can simultaneously reflect the interrelationship of aggregated arguments and reduce the influence of unreasonable evaluation values. Finally, two approaches for interval-valued dual hesitant fuzzy MAGDM with known or unknown weight information are presented. An illustrative example and comparative studies are given to verify the advantages of our methods. A sensitivity analysis of the decision results is analyzed with different parameters.

Developing aggregation operators for interval-valued hesitant fuzzy sets (IVHFSs) is a technological task we are faced with, because they are specifically important in many problems related to the fusion of interval-valued hesitant fuzzy information. This paper develops several novel kinds of power geometric operators, which are referred to as variable power geometric operators, and extends them to interval-valued hesitant fuzzy environments. A series of generalized interval-valued hesitant fuzzy power geometric (GIVHFG) operators are also proposed to aggregate the IVHFSs to model mandatory requirements. One of the important characteristics of these operators is that objective weights of input arguments are variable with the change of a non-negative parameter. By adjusting the exact value of the parameter, the influence caused by some “false” or “biased” arguments can be reduced. We demonstrate some desirable and useful properties of the proposed aggregation operators and utilize them to develop techniques for multiple criteria group decision making with IVHFSs considering the heterogeneous opinions among individual decision makers. Furthermore, we propose an entropy weights-based fitting approach for objectively obtaining the appropriate value of the parameter. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

Sustainable energy selection has been a very popular problem among the researchers and various models including deterministic, probabilistic and fuzzy approaches have been developed for the solution of this problem. Fuzzy approaches to sustainable energy selection problems have been often handled in the literature. Aggregation operators for multi-expert decision making problems are an alternative solution technique for multi criteria decision making problems. Since neutrosophic and intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation operators are comparable extensions of ordinary fuzzy sets, they have been employed to aggregate multi-expert judgments. An illustrative energy selection problem is presented, solved by two approaches, and results are compared. The same linguistic data have been used for the comparison purpose.

The researcher has been facing problems while handling imprecise and vague information, i.e., the problems of networking, decision-making, etc. For encountering such complicated data, the notion of fuzzy sets (FS) has been considered an influential tool. The notion was extended to its generalizations by a number of researchers in different ways which helps to understand and assess even more complex issues. This article characterizes imprecision with four kinds of values of membership. In this work, we aim to define and examine cubic picture fuzzy sets and give an application on averaging aggregation operators. We first introduce the notion of a cubic picture fuzzy set, which is a pair of interval-valued picture fuzzy set and a picture fuzzy set by giving examples. Then, we define two kinds of ordering on these sets and also discuss some set-theoretical properties. Moreover, we introduce three kinds of averaging aggregation operators based on cubic picture fuzzy sets and, at the end, we illustrate the results with a decision-making problem by using one of the provided aggregation operators.
