Helicoön subglobosum sp. nov. from a decaying wood submerged in a freshwater stream at Juchi Town of Alishan area, Chiayi County, Taiwan, is described and illustrated with light and scanning electron micrographs. It differs from previously described species of Helicoön in having large subglobose conidia which are borne singly on very short conidiophores. The phylogenetic relationship of H. subglobosum and related taxa were sought by comparing the sequences of the ITS barcode and partial large subunit regions of the nuc rDNA. A synopsis of the 18 accepted species and a dichotomous key to the genus are given.

 A species of Selaginella from Parque Nacional do Caparaó, in Espírito Santo State, southeastern Brazil, is described as new to the science: Selaginella salinoi grows on rocks in Atlantic Rainforest vegetation at ca. 1200 m. The description includes photos of live plants and, scanning electron micrographs.

Ilex calcicola (Aquifoliaceae), a new species from western Guangxi, China, is described, illustrated, and compared to two morphologically similar species: I. mamillata and I. wuana. The scanning electron micrographs of pollen grains and stomata of this new species are also showed in the plate. I. calcicola is currently known only from the limestone hills in western Guangxi.

The genus Voragocoris Weirauch, 2012 is composed of Voragocoris schuhi Weirauch, 2012 and Voragocoris amrishi Makhan, 2013, previously recorded from Peru and Suriname, respectively. In this paper, a new species, Voragocoris weirauchae sp.n., is described based on specimens collected in the Brazilian Amazon, representing the first record of the genus from Brazil. We provide diagnosis, description, photographs of habitus, and scanning electron micrographs of the diagnostic features. A key to species based on males of Voragocoris is also presented.

The adult male, female, immature stages, and egg of a new species of whitefly, Lipaleyrodes emiliae, are described from Taiwan and Hong Kong. The species has been found commonly on Emilia sonchifolia (Asteraceae). Scanning electron micrographs, photographs and drawings are included with descriptions of immature stages and adults. The immatures and adults of L. emiliae are compared with those of Bemisia tabaci.

Craterium yichunensis sp. nov., and C. dictyosporum are described and illustrated. They were found in Heilongjiang Province, China, and C. dictyosporum is a new record for China. Craterium yichunensis differs from other species of Craterium in having sessile sporocarps with a thick lid, the middle part of which is more than 100 μm thick, with a yellow membrane covering the cup after lid has fallen off. Additionally, it has no columella or pseudocolumella. Both species are also illustrated with scanning electron micrographs.

A new species of Craterium (C. subpurpurea) collected in the Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve, Jilin Province, northeastern China, is described. The fruiting bodies of C. subpurpurea are long cylindrical with distinct ridges, with large spinulose spores (8–10 μm diam.) as well as a persistent purplish pale peridium at the base of the sporotheca. A newly described species, C. aureonuleatum, has been documented in China for the first time, based on material collected from the Shennongjia National Nature Reserve, Hubei Province and the Gexigou National Nature Reserve, Sichuan Province. Craterium aureonuleatum is characterized by a yellowish pseudocolumella at the apex of the sporocarp and a persistent cup-like peridium when mature. Descriptions and scanning electron micrographs for these members of the genus Craterium are provided.

Peliosanthes crassicoronata is described and illustrated as a new species from southern Vietnam. It somewhat resembles P. macrostegia in having drooping bowl-shaped purplish flowers, but is readily distinguishable by the larger leaves with more numerous longitudinal veins, internally thickly ribbed staminal corona, and pistil with a hexagonal ovary and an indistinct style. The phylogenetic relationship of the new species was inferred from an analysis of chloroplast and nuclear DNA sequences.

This study reviews previous records and reports on newly sampled species of the genus Diopatra from Macaronesia, a region comprising five volcanic archipelagos in the eastern North Atlantic Ocean. Of the three species previously known from the eastern North Atlantic and the Mediterranean, D. marocensis and D. micrura are newly reported from the Canary Islands, and the record of D. neapolitana from Madeira is confirmed. The earliest descriptions of Diopatra from Madeira are D. brevicirrus and D. madeirensis; the former is here considered as a nomen dubium, whilst the latter is redescribed, based on new collections from Madeira and the Canary Islands. Diopatra gallardoi, recently described from Namibia, is reported from the Canary Islands. Four new species are described: D. mariae sp. nov. and D. mellea sp. nov. with peristomial cirri (typical Diopatra), and D. budaevae sp. nov. and D. hektoeni sp. nov. (lacking peristomial cirri, previously considered as Epidiopatra); the former three species are from the Canary Islands and the fourth is from Cape Verde Islands. This brings the Diopatra fauna from the Macaronesian region to nine species. Diagnoses and full descriptions are presented for new and redescribed species and extended diagnoses for others, accompanied by detailed illustrations, including scanning electron micrographs and drawings. A dichotomous key to all recognized species is included plus a table summarizing specific diagnostic characters.

The adult male, female and puparium of Singhiella melanolepis sp. nov. are described from Melanolepis multiglandulosa (Euphorbiaceae), together with scanning electron micrographs and figures. Comparisons are made between the puparium of this species and that of Singhiella elaeagni (Takahashi 1935), and remarks are provided on the genus Singhiella Sampson. After consideration of the diversity in adult structure among the species of Singhiella, it is suggested that this genus may be defined unsatisfactorily, and that more importance should be placed on adult morphology in whitefly taxonomy.

Abstract A new species, Isometopus (Isometopus) linnavuorii sp. nov., is described from Iran. Illustrations of male genitalia, scanning electron micrographs of male habitus and other selected characters of this new taxon are provided. The diagnosis of the new species is based on a comparison with other congeneric from the Middle East and Europe. The type specimens were deposited in the insect collection of the University of Guilan, Rasht, Iran. Isometopus (Isometopus) kaznakovi Kiritshenko, 1939 and Isometopus (Isometopus) mirificus Mulsant & Rey, 1879 are excluded from the fauna of Iran. The gender agreement is corrected in the name Isometopus praetermissus Akingbohungbe, 2012.
