The genus Hedyotis sensu lato was splitted into several genera on basis of morphological and molecular evidences. Under this generic delimitation, seven new taxonomic treatments, including six new synonyms and one new combination, are proposed for the Flora of China. The name Hedyotis tenelliflora that misapplied to Scleromitrion angustifolium is also corrected with morphological comparison.

The genus Surenus Distant, 1901 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomoidea: Pentatomidae: Pentatominae: Halyini) is revisited and found to be a junior subjective synonym of the genus Agathocles Stål, 1876 (currently Pentatominae: Rolstoniellini). The genus Agathocles and its type species, Agathocles limbatus Stål, 1876, are redescribed. Lectotype of Surenus normalis Distant, 1901 (= Agathocles normalis (Distant, 1901) comb. nov.) is designated and the unknown male of the species is described. Agathocles yunnanensis Zhang & Lin, 1984, syn. nov., is considered junior subjective synonym of A. limbatus. Two new species are described: Agathocles flavipes sp. nov. from India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu) and A. joceliae sp. nov. from Malaysia (Kelantan, Perak). The new species differ from their congeners mainly by the morphology of mandibular plates, length of antennomeres I, IIa and IIb, body length, and structure of male genitalia. Agathocles dubius Distant, 1921 is transferred to the genus Caystrus Stål, 1861 (Pentatominae: Caystrini) based on examination of its holotype with the resulting new combination: Caystrus dubius (Distant, 1921), comb. nov. One new combination is proposed, Paramecocoris ruficornis (Fieber, 1851), comb. nov. (from preoccupied Paramecus Fieber, 1851), and its type locality is clarified as Tenasserim (south Myanmar). Gender agreement and authorship of the name Riazocoris niger Ahmad & Afzal, 1977 in Ahmad et al. (1977: 161) are corrected and status of its name bearing type is clarified as lectotype. The following new distribution records are given: A. limbatus from Cambodia, China (Guangxi, Tibet), Laos and Thailand, A. normalis, Caystrus obscurus (Distant, 1901a) and Critheus lineatifrons Stål, 1869 from Laos, Amasenus corticalis Stål, 1863 from Cambodia, Indonesia (E Kalimantan), Laos, Myanmar and Thailand, and Rolstoniellus boutanicus (Dallas, 1849) from Vietnam. Based on characters of external morphology and genitalia, the genus Agathocles is compared with representatives of the genera Halys Fabricius, 1803 (Halyini), Caystrus (Caystrini), Laprius Stål, 1861 (Myrocheini), and Exithemus Distant, 1902 (currently in Rolstoniellini). As a result, the genus Agathocles is here transferred to the tribe Caystrini. The genus Kyrtalus Van Duzee, 1929 is tentatively placed in Myrocheini based on the presence of sulcate mesosternum and femora provided with teeth.

Two new species of Nullana DeLong, 1980 are described and illustrated: N. albinoi sp. nov. and N. sakakibarai sp. nov., both from the state of Paraná, Brazil. Two new synonyms and a new combination are proposed. A key to the 10 known species of Nullana are presented and Nullana gelbana is newly recorded from Paraná State, Brazil.

The misapplication of the name Tectaria griffithii is corrected, which results in the revival of T. multicaudata and the proposal of a new combination (T. multicaudata var. amplissima) and two new synonyms (T. yunnanensis and T. multicaudata var. singaporeana). For the reduction of Psomiocarpa and Tectaridium (previously monotypic genera) into Tectaria, T. macleanii (new combination) and T. psomiocarpa (new name) are proposed as new combinations. In addition, the new name Tectaria subvariolosa is put forward to replace a later homonym (T. stenosemioides).

The fauna of Iranian Anthicidae and pediline Pyrochroidae (Coleoptera) is summarized in this paper. A total of 132 species from 19 genera and four subfamilies (Anthicinae, Notoxinae, Steropinae, and Tomoderinae) of Anthicidae and two species of Pedilinae are listed. Three new synonyms are proposed: Anthicus armatus Truqui, 1855 = A. pseudoarmatus Telnov, 2008 syn. nov., Notoxus hirtus LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849 = N. caucasicus Pic, 1900 syn. nov., Stricticomus rufithorax (LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849) = Anthicus transcaspicus var. subnotata Pic, 1910 syn. nov. One new combination is made: Nitorus unifasciatus (Desbrochers des Loges, 1875) comb. nov. (from Pseudoleptaleus Pic, 1900). Thirteen species are reported for the fauna of Iran for the first time: Anthicus armatus Truqui, 1855, A. episcopalis Pic, 1903, A. quadrispilus Marseul, 1879, Cyclodinus reitteri (Pic, 1892), Leptaleus klugii klugii LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849, Stricticomus araxicola (Reitter, 1889), S. arcuaticeps (Pic, 1900), S. herzi (Pic, 1905), Microhoria aphaenops (Pic, 1902), Tenuicomus finalis Telnov, 2003, Notoxus hirtus LaFerté-Sénectère, 1849, N. simulans simulans Heberdey, 1935, and Tomoderus scydmaenoides Reitter, 1878.

AbstractBryoria pseudocapillaris and B. spiralifera are currently treated as members of Bryoria section Implexae although conspicuous, long and depressed pseudocyphellae characterizing both species resemble those found in the genus Sulcaria. Both genera belong in Parmeliaceae and form an alectorioid group together with Alectoria, Gowardia and Pseudephebe. Parsimony and Bayesian analyses of ITS, partial GAPDH and partial Mcm7 sequence data were used to examine the phylogenetic position of B. pseudocapillaris and B. spiralifera, and in light of these results evaluate the generic delimitation of Bryoria and Sulcaria. A total of 110 specimens of 53 species containing representatives from alectorioid and closely related genera were included in the analyses. The results clearly show first, that both B. pseudocapillaris and B. spiralifera belong in Sulcaria rather than in Bryoria, and second, that they should be considered conspecific. Bryoria pseudocapillaris is proposed as a synonym under B. spiralifera and the name Sulcaria spiralifera comb. nov. is introduced.

AbstractChromolaena odorata is a tropical American species of the Compositae that has become a serious problem in plantations in the tropics of Asia and Africa. The history of attempts to control it using the arctiid moth Pareuchaetes pseudoinsulata Rego Barros (misidentified in previous literature as Ammalo insulata (Wlk.)) is summarised. The taxonomy and distributions of the five species in Pareuchaetes are presented, together with keys based on genitalic characters, three new synonyms and one new combination. Information on the biogeography and ecology of the Pareuchaetes species is used to assess their potential as biological control agents.

We present a description of the new species Rhynchostegium occultum from central Chile, including illustrations, a distribution map, and preliminary molecular data that supports its taxonomic placement. The new taxon is restricted to coastal relict forests of central Chile. An overview of the Chilean taxa of Rhynchostegium, and a key for local species are also provided. The new combination Rhynchostegium corralense, and new synonyms for Rhynchostegium acanthophyllum and for Cratoneuropsis chilensis are proposed. Oxyrrhynchium hians is newly reported for Chile, apparently being a recent introduction. Lectotypes are selected for Hypnum corralense, Hypnum acanthophyllum, and for Rhynchostegiella acanthophylla var. robusta.
