On the basis of recent ichneumonid collections from the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources, Hanoi, Vietnam, the Netherlands Centre for Biodiversity Naturalis, Leiden, Netherlands, and the Osaka Museum of Natural History, Osaka, Japan, the genus Yezoceryx (Ichneumonidae: Acaenitinae) is reported for the first time from Vietnam with descriptions of nine new species, viz. Yezoceryx bicarinatus sp. nov., Y. brevius sp. nov., Y. coronatus sp. nov., Y. pacoensis sp. nov., Y. phui sp. nov., Y. rufus sp. nov., Y. shengi sp. nov., Y. tamdaoensis sp. nov. and Y. thaii sp. nov. In addition, nine further species are recorded for the first time from the country. A key to a total of 18 Yezoceryx species from Vietnam is included. Acaenitus xanthorius Morley, 1913 is a junior synonym of Yezoceryx luteus (Cameron, 1899), syn. nov. The subdivision of Yezoceryx into subgenera is untenable and Yezoceryx (Brevitergus) Wang and Yezoceryx (Longitergus) Wang are both new synonyms of Yezoceryx.

The leafhopper genus Plumosa was erected by Sohi (1977). It belongs to the tribe Erythroneurini of Typhlocybinae with Plumosa emarginata Sohi, 1977 from India as its type species. Until now, there have been no further reports on this genus. Here the genus is reported for the first time from China and a new Chinese species is described and illustrated. The type specimens are deposited to the collection of the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, Guizhou (IEGU) and Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS).

A new species of Cladochaeta Coquillett (Diptera: Drosophilidae) is described, C. caxiuana sp. nov. from the Brazilian Amazon, based on 10 male and 10 female specimens obtained from nymphs of Sphodroscarta trivirgata (Amyot & Serville, 1843) (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Aphrophoridae). The female of Cladochaeta atlantica Pirani & Amorim, 2016 is described based on specimens reared from spider egg sacs of the spider Cryptachaea migrans (Keyserling, 1884) (Araneae: Theridiidae) obtained in the state of Espírito Santo, Brazil. This is the first record of this fly genus attacking a spider egg sac. The species Cladochaeta sororia (Williston, 1896) is recorded for the first time from Brazil, based on specimens collected in an urban garden in the Amazon. In addition, an unidentified female specimen of Cladochaeta Coquillett, 1900 was obtained from the cocoon of a spider wasp of the genus Notocyphus Smith (Hymenoptera: Pompilidae).

Abstract The Colobathristidae are a poorly studied family of Lygaeoidea distributed in the tropics and subtropics of Australasian, Neotropical, and Oriental biogeographic regions. Phaenacantha Horváth, 1904 is the largest genus of the family, with 33 described species. Here, two new species of Phaenacantha are described from Borneo (P. grimmae sp. nov. and P. nigrispina sp. nov.) and one from New Caledonia (P. paveli sp. nov.), all of which represent the first record of the genus from these islands. Also, a specimen of genus Symphylax Horváth, 1904 from Borneo is described that has strong similarities to S. handschini Kormilev, 1953 from the same island, but differs from it in some minor features and is considered a new subspecies, S. handschini kinabaluensis subsp. nov.

The first species for the genus Adelosgryllus Mesa & Zefa, 2004 recorded in caves is herein described. We used the morphology of the phallic complex as the main criteria to differentiate this species from the congeneric ones. In addition, we discussed the natural history of the new species, some aspects of its association to the cave habitats, and the intraspecific variation of the right tegmen observed in two populations of this new species.

The genus Cladonotella (Tetrigidae: Cladonotinae) consists of four species of pygmy grasshoppers from Java and New Guinea. A new species of Cladonotella is described from Siargao Island, Philippines: Cladonotella spinulosasp. nov. This represents the first record of Cladonotella in the Philippines. To quantify differences between species of Cladonotella, we used morphological characters to construct a neighbor-joining tree, and recovered our new species as distinct from congeners. To address the lack of natural history information on Cladonotella, we described habitat and other ecological observations made in Siargao Island on our new species.

The present study contributes to the knowledge of the Indo-Pacific genus Visiana Swinhoe based on historic specimens collected in Indonesia and deposited in the collections of the Natural History Museum (London, UK) and Naturalis Biodiversity Center (Leiden, the Netherlands). Two new species V. cyclopsensis, sp. nov. from the Cyclops Mountains (West Papua) and V. minahasensis, sp. nov. from Minahasa (Sulawesi) are described and illustrated. These belong to two different species groups. An updated checklist of the genus Visiana, comprising 18 species is included.

Cylindratus fansipan sp. nov. is described from Lao Cai Province of Northern Vietnam. It is the first record of the genus Cylindratus Meng, Qin et Wang, 2020 from Vietnam and the fourth genus of the subfamily Caliscelinae known from the country. A 5th instar larva of the genus Cylindratus is described and illustrated for the first time. A key to the Vietnamese Caliscelini is given.
