An updated taxonomic catalog of all 32 species of the subfamily Paramacronychiinae so far known to occur in China is presented. The catalog includes data on type locality, references, distribution and information on type material for nominal species with a Chinese type locality. Additional specimens deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Museum of Beijing Forestry University were examined. The genus Wohlfahrtiodes Villeneuve, 1910 and the species Wohlfahrtiodes marzinowskyi Rohdendorf, 1962 are new records from China. Two new synonyms are proposed: Wohlfahrtia Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1889 = Sinotibetomyia Xue in Xue & Fei, 2011, syn. nov., and Wohlfahrtia atra Aldrich, 1926 = Sinotibetomyia curvifemura Xue & Fei, 2011, syn. nov.

The subgenus Tetramelus Motschulsky, 1869 with its currently 109 palaearctic species, is the largest Palaearctic subgenus of the largest world scydmaenine genus Euconnus Thomson, 1859. The nomenclatural validity of the subgenus-name has been recently supported by a detailed morphological study (Jałoszyński 2015). Euconnus (Tetramelus) kraussi was described by Edmund Reitter (1881a), with the type locality indicated as Caucasus, Martkopi. This was the second species of the subgenus Tetramelus known to occur in the entire Caucasus region, after Euconnus (Tetramelus) reitteri Saulcy, 1878, the latter with unknown type locality. The former was treated as a junior synonym of the latter by Croissandeau (1898), and as a subspecies by Karaman (1973). A modern redescription and illustration of the aedeagus was given by Vít & Hlaváč (1998), together with a key to all species of Tetramelus known at that time from the Caucasus. Castellini (2006: 102) placed Euconnus (Tetramelus) kraussi as a junior synonym of Euconnus (Tetramelus) reitteri. This taxonomic act was based just on the similarity of aedeagi of these two taxa illustrated by Vít & Hlaváč (1998). No type material was studied. Euconnus (Tetramelus) reitteri is smaller, only 1.25-1.30 mm long, against 1.40-1.60 mm for Euconnus (Tetramelus) kraussi. To combine this with differences on the aedeagus and with the allopatric distribution, we regard these two forms as two different species. Later, two new species were described, Euconnus (Tetramelus) marinae Franz, 1979, the type locality „Kachetien nächst Shuamta“ and Euconnus (Tetramelus) nachuzrischwilii Franz, 1986, the type locality „nördlich von Anamuri in etwa 1000 m“. Both were included in the key of Vít & Hlaváč (1998). The type material of both these species was found well-preserved in the Natural History Museum in Vienna (NMW), and thanks to Dr. Harald Schillhammer it was available to the senior author for study. A detailed study of this material proved that both species were conspecific with Euconnus (Tetramelus) kraussi, and their synonymy is formally established here. We are also providing new records for this species, which is so far endemic to eastern Georgia, well delimited by the Meskheti-Likhi range. The material treated in this study is deposited in the following collections: MNHN – Muséum National d‘Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France; NMW – Naturhistorisches Museum Wien, Vienna, Austria; PCAP – private collection of Andreas Pütz, Eisenhüttenstadt, Germany; PCHM – private collection of Heinrich Meybohm, Großhansdorf, Germany; PCMS – private collection of Michael Schülke, Berlin, Germany; PCPH – private collection of Peter Hlaváč, Prague, Czech Republic. The distributional map was created using Encarta software.

This paper comprises a catalogue of the type material of true butterflies (Papilionoidea) kept in the National Museum of Natural History at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia. The collection contains types of nine nominal species group taxa, described by S. Abadjiev, S. Beshkov, I. Buresch, H. Rebel, and K. Tuleschkow. Lectotypes have been designated for Colias myrmidone balcanica Rebel, 1901, Erebia tyndarus macedonica Buresch, 1919, E. gorge pirinica Buresch, 1919, Euchloe gruneri macedonica Buresch, 1921, Sathyrus [sic] arethusa strumata Buresch, 1919, and Doritis apollinus var. thracica Buresch, 1915. One new synonym has been established: Papilio arethusa arethusa [Denis et Schiffermüller], 1775 = Sathyrus [sic] arethusa strumata Buresch, 1919, syn. nov.

Five new species of the genus Khorata Huber, 2005 are reported from Vietnam: Khorata bachma Yao & Li sp. nov. (Thua Thien-Hue), K. cucphuong Yao & Li sp. nov. (Ninh Binh), K. vinhphuc Yao & Li sp. nov. (Vinh Phuc), K. palace Yao & Li sp. nov. (Ninh Binh) and K. quangbinh Yao & Li sp. nov. (Quang Binh). Type material is deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IZCAS) in Beijing, China.

The elateriform family Callirhipidae Emden, 1924 is catalogued. The family contains 14 genus-group taxa, of which 10 are currently considered as valid and four as synonyms. The family contains 214 available species-group names, of which 175 represent currently valid species and subspecies, and 39 are synonyms. For each taxon, all references known to the author are listed. For species-group taxa, type locality, type material, current status and known distribution are given. Lists of unavailable names and taxa excluded from the family Callirhipidae are presented. A systematic checklist of the family is appended. Two new species, Acerentulus sinensis sp. nov. and Brasilidia jilinensis sp. nov., from Jilin Province, northeastern China, are described and illustrated in the present paper. All specimens are deposited in Shanghai Entomological Museum (SEM), Institute of Plant Physiology & Ecology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Because Onchidiidae (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Pulmonata) has been understudied since the last experts were active more than 70 years ago, systematics of this taxon is in a state of confusion: The nomenclatural status of most species names is unknown; the current supra-specific classification, largely based on Labbé’s work, has not been revised since the 1930s and needs to be re-evaluated through a modern, phylogenetic approach. A checklist of all 143 species names available in Onchidiidae is provided, as a first step towards a systematic revision. In addition, type material information (all existing types were examined by the author), type locality, and comments on the current taxonomic status and classification are provided for each species name. Present state of knowledge of the higher-level systematics of Onchidiidae is also briefly reviewed. Species diversity based on traditional generic taxa is presented. Finally, type localities are listed by region, worldwide, and interesting questions of biogeography are mentioned.

Here Schizopteridae is registered for the first time in Paraná State with the record of four species, being one to generic level, Glyptocombus sp. The three nominal species recorded are: Schizoptera (Schizoptera) apicalis Reuter, 1882, Schizoptera (Cantharocoris) reitteri Reuter, 1891, and Ptenidiophyes mirabilis Reuter, 1891, all only recorded from type locality. The Schizopteridae fauna of Brazil is now composed of 22 nominal species in 13 genera, recorded in nine Brazilian states, plus the genus Glyptocombus recorded in the South and Southeast regions of the country.
