Mesopsyche Tillyard, 1917 is an extinct genus of Mecoptera belonging to the long-proboscid-bearing Mesopsychidae, an adaptation probably associated with pollination of Mesozoic gymnosperms. Here, we describe two new species, Mesopsyche jinsuoguanensis sp. nov., from the Middle Triassic Tongchuan Formation in Shaanxi Province, and Mesopsyche liaoi sp. nov., from the Upper Triassic Huangshanjie Formation in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China. The new discoveries highlight the diversity of the Mesopsyche in the region during the Mesozoic.

A new species of the peltoperlid genus Microperla Chu, 1928, Microperla qinlinga Chen, sp. nov. from Shaanxi Province of northwestern China is described and illustrated. The new species is characterized by the widely rounded ventral lobe in males and the extremely large and bilobed subgenital plate in female. In addition, the taxonomic history and current status of the genus Microperla is reviewed.

Paraleuctra cuihuashana sp. nov., the first formally reported brachypterous stonefly of Leuctridae (Plecoptera) known from China, is described from Shaanxi Province of northwestern China. The new species is characterized by the short-winged male with unique hindwing venation and a finger-shaped process on cerci. The female of P. cuihuashana sp. nov. has variable wing length. Molecular data supported the distinctness of the new species and the widespread P. orientalis (Chu, 1928).

A new winter stonefly species of the genus Capnia Pictet, 1841, Capnia s.l. bilobata sp. nov. is described and illustrated from Shaanxi Province of northwestern China. The new species is distinguished from all currently known Capnia s.l. by the male and female genitalic characters. The falciform projection on male tergum 9 and the unique-shaped female subgenital plate separate the new taxon from other congeners.

Two new species of the stonefly genus Neoperla, N. jiangae sp. nov. and N. jiaoxihe sp. nov., are described from Shaanxi Province of northwest China. The new species are compared with related congeners. Neoperla flagellata Li & Murányi, 2012 (in Li et al. 2012b) is placed as a synonym of N. bicornua Wu, 1973. The Neoperla sinensis species subgroup in the N. montivaga group is proposed and defined.

Two new species of Phylini, Glaucopterum alborubrum sp. nov. and Compsidolon schrenkianum sp. nov. are described from Xinjiang province of China. Illustrations of the male genitalia, tarsus and pretarsus, photographs of the dorsal habitus, known hosts, and distributional records are provided for each species. The following 13 species of Miridae are recorded for the first time from China: Anonychiella brevicornis (Reuter, 1879), Atomophora mongolica Konstantinov, 2000, Blepharidopterus angulatus (Fallén, 1807), Compsidolon eximium (Reuter, 1879), Dichrooscytus consobrinus Horváth, 1904, Dichrooscytus kerzhneri Josifov, 1974, Hallodapus montandoni Reuter, 1895, Orthotylus nassatus (Fabricius, 1787), Orthotylus (Melanotrichus) schoberiae Reuter, 1876, Phaeochiton ebulum Putshkov, 1977, Pilophorus confusus (Kirschbaum, 1856), Tuponia (Chlorotuponia) prasina (Fieber, 1864), Tuponia (Tuponia) soongorica Drapolyuk, 1980. Also, the following nine species of plant bugs are new records for Xinjiang Province: Atomoscelis onusta (Fieber, 1861), Blepharidopterus diaphanus (Kirschbaum, 1856), Campylomma verbasci (Meyer-Dür, 1843), Europiella alpina (Reuter, 1875), Lygocoris rugicollis (Fallén, 1807), Orthops mutans (Stål, 1858), Phaeochiton caraganae (Kerzhner, 1964), Pilophorus clavatus (Linnaeus, 1767), Psallopsis kirgisica (Becker, 1864). Distributional areas and distinctive features of Tuponia roseipennis (Reuter, 1878) and T. soongorica Drapolyuk, 1980 are briefly discussed.

A checklist of Dryinidae from Shaanxi Province, China, is presented. Two new species, Anteon ningshanense Xu, Olmi,Guglielmino & Chen, sp. nov. and Anteon semirugosum Xu, Olmi, Guglielmino & Chen, sp. nov. are described from theNingshan County, Guanghuojie Town. Five subfamilies, seven genera and 36 species are listed in Shaanxi Province, in-cluding twenty-eight new species records. Of the 36 species now known from Shaanxi, twenty seven species are of Ori-ental origin, six Palaearctic and three are known only from Shaanxi, confirming that the province is a transitional area of Oriental and Palaearctic species.
