One new species, A. pectinatissima Volynkin & László, sp. nov. and one new subspecies, A. discocellularis saotomensis Volynkin & László, ssp. nov. are described. Asura thomensis Rothschild, 1913 is synonymized with Afrasura hieroglyphica (Bethune-Baker, 1911) widely distributed in West Africa. A new combination is established: Afrasura friederikae (Kühne, 2007), comb. nov. Adults, male and female genitalia of all species mentioned are illustrated.

Taxonomic placement of the genera Planovalvata and Pseudomiltochrista Dubatolov & Bucsek, 2016 is clarified. The combination is revised: Stigmatophora roseivena (Hampson, 1894), comb. rev. Pseudomiltochrista is synonymized with Stigmatophora and downgraded to a subgenus level. One new combination is established: Stigmatophora (Pseudomiltochrista) zolotuhini (Dubatolov & Bucsek, 2016), comb. nov. The genus Hypeugoa Leech, 1899 is synonymized with the nominate subgenus of the genus Stigmatophora Staudinger, 1881: Stigmatophora = Hypeugoa, syn. nov., and a new combination for the type species is established: Stigmatophora flavogrisea (Leech, 1899), comb. nov. Hypeugoa flavogrisea orientalis Daniel, 1951 is upgraded to species level and also assigned with Stigmatophora: Stigmatophora orientalis (Daniel, 1951), stat. & comb. nov. Hypeugoa radaricola Černý, 2009 is transferred to the genus Miltochrista Hübner, [1819]: Miltochrista radaricola (Černý, 2009), comb. nov. A new species similar to M. radaricola, Miltochrista eugoana sp. nov. is described from North Thailand. The original citation of the holotype label of M. radaricola is corrected. Adults together with male and female genitalia of the new and the similar species are illustrated.

A new definition for the genus Moribaetis Waltz & McCafferty 1985 is given. Its type species, Moribaetis maculipennis (Flowers 1979) is redescribed based on male and female imagoes reared from larvae near the type locality in Panama. Larvae, formerly wrongly attributed to Moribaetis salvini (Eaton 1885), and a male imago, formerly wrongly attributed to Moribaetis macaferti Waltz 1985, belong to a new species Moribaetis latipennis sp. n., which is described here based on a male imago reared from larva in Panama. Both species, M. maculipennis and M. latipennis sp. n., are distinct from M. salvini, which is known as a single male imago (lectotype) from Costa Rica. All other species, formerly attributed to Moribaetis, are excluded from this genus; a new combination Caribaetis macaferti comb. n. is proposed for the species originally described as Moribaetis macaferti Waltz (in Waltz & McCafferty) 1985, and a new combination Baetis (Rhodobaetis) mimbresaurus comb. n. is proposed for the species originally described as Moribaetis mimbresaurus McCafferty 2007.
