The specimens of Roeslerstammiidae deposited in the Insect Collection of Nankai University have been reviewed. A total of five species are involved. Three new species are described from Southwest China, Agriothera quadrativalva sp. nov., A. microtricha sp. nov. and Telethera declivimarginata sp. nov. Agriothera elaeocarpophaga Moriuti, 1978 is recorded from mainland China for the first time. Photographs of adults and genitalia are given, along with a key to Chinese species.

The genus Parastheneboea Redtenbacher, 1908 is recorded for the first time from the Yunnan Province and Chongqing municipality, China. Two new species are described and illustrated: P. foliculata n. sp. from Yunnan based on the female and eggs, and P. simianshanensis n. sp. from Chongqing based on the male alone. The systematics of Parastheneboea Brunner v. Wattenwyl are briefly discussed with a list of species provided. Andropromachus Carl, 1913 is represented in China by only one species, A. guangxiense (Chen & He, 2000). The genus is briefly discussed and shown to be closely related to Neohirasea Rehn, 1904. An English translation of the original Chinese description of A. guangxiense (Chen & He) is provided. A re-description, a brief review, comments and a key to the species of Pericentrus Redtenbacher, 1908 are provided. The genus is shown to belong in the subfamily Lonchodinae Brunner v. Wattenwyl, 1893 and to be related to Menexenus Stål, 1875. Pericentrus appendiculatus Redtenbacher, 1908 is transferred to the genus Trychopeplus Shelford, 1919 (n. comb.) and the type-locality “Central-Java” shown to be wrong. Pericentrus Redtenbacher has so far not been recorded from China but is very likely to be present in South Xizang (= Tibet). The new genus Cnipsomorpha n. gen. is described for three highly mountainous species from Yunnan Province, Cnipsus apteris Liu & Cai, 1992, Cnipsus colorantis Chen & He, 1996 and Cnipsomorpha erinacea n. sp., of which the latter is designated as the type-species. All three species are only known from the females. The egg of C. erinacea n. sp. is the only one known from the genus and briefly described and illustrated. The new genus is related to Parapachymorpha Brunner v. Wattenwyl, 1893, and hence provisionally attributed to Phasmatidae: Pachymorphinae: Gratidiini. A key is provided to distinguish between the species of Cnipsomorpha n. gen.. English translations of the original Chinese descriptions of Cnipsus apteris Liu & Cai, 1992 and Cnipsus colorantis Chen & He, 1996 are presented. Type-specimens of new taxa are deposited in IZCAS, INCA and the collections of the authors.

The subgenus Matsumurasca of genus Empoasca Anufriev (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Typhlocybinae: Empoascini) is revised with three new species described and illustrated: E. (M.) biprocessa Qin and Liu sp. nov. (southwest China: Yunnan), E. (M.) dentalis Qin and Liu sp. nov. (central southern China: Hunan) and E. (M.) spinalis Qin and Liu sp. nov. (central southern China: Henan). E (M.) diversa Vilbaste, 1968, and E. (M.) parvifacia Dworakowska, 1994, are recorded for the first time from China. Additionally, two replacement names are proposed, E. (M.) clypealata nom. nov. for E. (M.) clypeata Qin & Zhang, 2008 (preoccupied by E. clypeata Gillette & Baker, 1895) and E. (M.) quadrialata nom. nov. for E. (M.) quadrifida Qin & Zhang, 2008 (preoccupied by E. quadrifida Southern, 1982). A key to all species of the subgenus is also provided.

New taxonomic and faunistic data for eight species of Paraphloeostiba Steel, 1960 (Omaliini) from China and Laos are provided. Three new species are described and illustrated: P. ampliata sp.n. (China: Yunnan), P. brancuccii sp.n. (Laos), and P. cooteri sp.n. (China: Zhejiang). A new synonymy is established: P. formosana Shavrin & Smetana, 2016 = P. amooraphila Shavrin, 2017 syn.n. Paraphloeostiba opacicollis Steel, 1960 is redescribed, illustrated, and recorded from Laos for the first time. A key to the species of Paraphloeostiba of China and Laos is presented. Previous records of P. apicalis (Cameron, 1925) from China are doubtful; additional material from Indonesia and the Philippines is reported. Paraphloeostiba sulcicollis (Fauvel, 1904) is recorded from China for the first time. New records of Paraphloeostiba are reported: P. apicalis from Mindanao (Philippines), P. formosana Shavrin & Smetana, 2016 from mainland China and Vietnam, P. gayndahensis (MacLeay, 1873) from Yunnan, and P. sonani (Bernhauer, 1943) from Myanmar. In addition, four new species of Omaliini are described and illustrated: Nipponophloeostiba longilobata sp.n., Omalium khmericum sp.n., and Phloeostiba assingi sp.n. from northern Laos, and Phloeonomus (Phloeonomus) rougemonti sp.n. from China (Yunnan).

A review of the aroid tribe Caladieae is presented, and three new species of Caladium Vent. and seven new species of Syngonium Schott are described and illustrated. Two species, C. picturatum K. Koch & C. D. Bouché and C. steudnerifolium Engl., previously considered to be synonymous with C. bicolor (Aiton) Vent., are fully redescribed. New species of Caladium are C. cortesae Croat & E. G. Gonç., C. palaciosii Croat & L. P. Hannon, and C. stevensonii Croat & Delannay. New species of Syngonium are S. adsettiorum Croat, O. Ortiz & J. S. Harrison, S. bastimentoense O. Three new species of Otostigmus Porat, 1876 from Brazilian Atlantic Forest are described. Otostigmus beckeri sp. n. andO. lanceolatus sp. n. are described from the state of Bahia and O. giupponii sp. n. from the state of Espírito Santo. InBrazil, the otostigmine scolopendrid genus Otostigmus comprises 22 species. A summary of Brazilian Otostigmus speciesis presented with new distribution records, taxonomic remarks when appropriate and an identification key. Otostigmus sul-catus Meinert, 1886 is recorded for the first time from Brazil; the Andean Otostigmus silvestrii Kraepelin 1903, previouslyrecorded from Brazil, is here considered not to be present in this country. Eight nominal species are regarded here as newsynonyms. Five of them—Otostigmus pradoi Bücherl, 1939, O. longistigma Bücherl, 1939, O. longipes Bücherl, 1939,O. langei Bücherl, 1946 and O. dentifusus Bücherl, 1946—are based on females of O. tibialis Brölemann, 1902. O. latipesBücherl, 1954 is conspecific with and is considered a junior synonym of O. sulcatus Meinert, 1886; O. limbatus diminutusBücherl, 1946 is a junior synonym of O. limbatus Meinert, 1886 and O. fossulatus Attems, 1928 is a junior synonym of O. goeldii Brölemann, 1898. A lectotype is designated for O. goeldii.

AbstractMorphological, life history, and distributional data are presented for North American species of the subgenus Stygomomonia (sensu stricto) Szalay, 1943. Adults of the seven previously recognized species are redescribed, and deutonymphs of five of these species are described for the first time. Two species, S. (s.s.) neomexicana Cook and S. (s.s.) occidentalis Cook are substantially revised on the basis of an examination of the types and extensive series of newly collected specimens. Three new species are described, S. (s.s.) californiensis on the basis of deutonymphs and adults, and S. (s.s.) imamurai and S. (s.s.) cooki on the basis of adults. A new diagnosis of the subgenus is proposed and discussed, the relationships of the various species are discussed, and a key to deutonymphs and adults of North American species is presented. New distributional data are presented for all species, and dispersal patterns from Pleistocene refugia are discussed.

The powder post beetles (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae) (except Lyctinae) of Yunnan Province in Southwest China are reviewed for the first time. Keys to twenty-six genera and fifty-two species from the Yunnan region are provided. One new genus and seven new species are described: Dinoderus (Dinoderastes) hongheensis sp. nov., Dinoderus (Dinoderastes) nanxiheensis sp. nov., Gracilenta yingjiangensis gen. nov., sp. nov., Calonistes vittatus sp. nov., Calophagus colombiana sp. nov., Xylodrypta guochuanii sp. nov. and Xylodrypta zhenghei sp. nov.. Fourteen species are recorded in China for the first time. The bostrichid fauna of Yunnan is compared with those of the neighbouring bio-geographically related Southeast Asian and Himalayan regions. The fauna has a close affinity with that of tropical Southeast Asia and a much weaker relationship with the Palearctic region. The differences with the Himalayas may reflect the separate evolutionary and complex geological history of the two areas.

Three new species of Megarthrus Curtis from mainland China belonging to the M. calcaratus species complex are described: M. bajie Liu & Cuccodoro sp. nov., M. wujing Liu & Cuccodoro sp. nov., and M. wukong Liu & Cuccodoro sp. nov.. Also pertaining to this lineage of Megarthus, the East Palaearctic M. zerchei Cuccodoro & Löbl is reported here to occur in China (new country record). These four species are diagnosed, illustrated, and keyed. Their distribution in mainland China is mapped, and their affinities are briefly discussed.
