Based on the morphology of workers, gynes and males, we revise the taxonomy of nominal taxa traditionally included by authors in the fungus-growing ant genus Mycetophylax. Our results indicate that Mycetophylax Emery (Myrmicocrypta brittoni Wheeler, 1907, type species, by designation of Emery, 1913; junior synonym of Cyphomyrmex conformis Mayr, 1884 by Kempf, 1962) includes M. conformis, M. simplex (Emery, 1888), and M. morschi (Emery, 1888) new combination (formerly in Cyphomyrmex), with several synonymies. Mycetophylax bruchi (Santschi, 1916) does not belong to the same genus and is diagnosed, in addition to other characters, by a psammophore arising at the anterior margin of the clypeus. For this species we are resurrecting from synonymy Paramycetophylax Kusnezov, 1956 (Mycetophylax bruchi as type species, by original designation, with M. cristulatus as its new synonym). Myrmicocrypta emeryi Forel, 1907 is the only attine in which females lack the median clypeal seta and have the antennal insertion areas very much enlarged and anteriorly produced, with the psammophore setae arising from the middle of the clypeus and not at its anterior margin as in Paramycetophylax. Notwithstanding its inclusion in Mycetophylax by recent authors, it is here recognized as belonging to a hitherto undescribed, thus far monotypic genus, Kalathomyrmex new genus (Myrmicocrypta emeryi as its type species, here designated). The taxonomy of the New Zealand weevil genus Irenimus Pascoe, 1876 is revised, resulting in a narrower concept of the genus than has been considered in recent decades. In total, the genus now contains only seven species. In addition to the type species, I. parilis Pascoe, 1876, the genus contains I. duplex (Broun, 1904) and five newly described species: I. aniptus new species (type locality, Oamaru, DN), I. crinitus new species (type locality, Hakataramea Valley, SC), I. minimus new species (type locality, Alexandra, CO), I. stichus new species (type locality, Tekapo, MK) and I. thoracicus new species (type locality, Oamaru, DN). The genus Chalepistes new genus is established to contain the majority of species previously described in the genus Catoptes Schönherr, 1842, but also including species described in Brachyolus White, 1846; Irenimus Pascoe, 1876; Inophloeus Pascoe, 1875; and Nicaeana Pascoe, 1877. The collection of Prof. J. Martens and, in part, of Dr P. Jäger, mainly from Taibai Shan, Qinling Mountains, Shaanxi Province, China, contains 36 identifiable species of Linyphiidae. Among these, the following nine new species belong to known genera: Agyneta martensi sp. n., Arcuphantes chinensis sp. n., Indophantes ramosus sp. n., Mughiphantes beishanensis sp. n., M. jaegeri sp. n., M. martensi sp. n., Nippononeta sinica sp. n., Asthenargus conicus sp. n., and Dicymbium sinofacetum sp. n. Each of the remaining five new species warrants the erection of a new genus: Houshenzinus gen. n. (type species: Houshenzinus rimosus sp. n.), Shaanxinus gen. n. (type species: Shaanxinus rufipes sp. n.), Shanus gen. n. (type species: Shanus taibaiensis sp. n.), Taibainus gen. n. (type species: Taibainus shanensis sp. n.) and Taibaishanus gen. n. (type species: Taibaishanus elegans sp. n.). The following new synonym and combinations are proposed (valid names on the right): Gnathonarium cambridgei Schenkel 1963 = Gnathonarium taczanowskii (O. Pickard-Cambridge 1873) syn. n., Araeoncus stigmosus Xia, Zhang, Gao, Fei, Rui & Kim 2001 = Tibioploides stigmosus (Xia, Zhang, Gao, Fei, Rui & Kim 2001) comb. n., Walckenaeria anguilliformis Xia, Zhang, Gao, Fei, Rui & Kim 2001 = Shaanxinus anguilliformis (Xia, Zhang, Gao, Fei, Rui & Kim, 2001) comb. n., and Lepthyphantes huangyuanensis Zhu & Li 1983 = Tchatkalophantes huangyuanensis (Zhu & Li 1983) comb. n. AbstractStayella, the first ovoviviparous blattellid genus reported, is described. The following 8 species, 4 of which were previously in the genus Symploce, are included in this taxon: bimaculata (Gerstaecker) (type-species; new synonyms = S. massaica Princis and S. backlundi Princis), medleri (Kumar), cinnamomea (Gerstaecker), rohdei (Shelford) (new synonym = S. umbrina Princis), mckittrickae sp.n., abnormalis sp.n., schmitzi sp.n., and enghoffi sp.n. The various known species are redescribed, and a key to the males is given. The genus is restricted to Africa.

A new genus and species of bostrichid beetle, Octomeristes gen. nov. and Octomeristes pusillus gen. et sp. nov., in the tribe Xyloperthini is described from litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.) wood in Thailand. The genus is compared to Octodesmus Lesne, 1901, the only other xyloperthine genus with eight-segmented antennae, and to the xyloperthine genera, Xylion Lesne, 1901, Xylionulus Lesne, 1901 and Xylobosca Lesne, 1901. A new combination, Octomeristes minutissimus (Lesne, 1932) comb. nov., is transferred from Octodesmus Lesne, 1901. A lectotype is designated for Octodesmus episternalis Lesne, 1901, the type species of Octodesmus. Octodesmus kamoli Chûjô, 1964 is designated a new synonym of Paraxylion bifer (Lesne, 1932). A key is provided to the species of Octodesmus and Octomeristes gen. nov.

The world genera of the Bobekia-group of Alysiini (Braconidae: Alysiinae) are reviewed and keyed. A new genus (Neodiastagen. nov.) is proposed for Phasmidiasta ecuadorensis Fischer, 2006, from Ecuador. One new subgenus (Parabobekoidessubg. nov.; type species Separatatus (Parabobekoides) yinshanisp. nov. from NW China) is described and illustrated. Neosymphanes Belokobylskij, 1998 is a new synonym of Bobekia Niezabitowski, 1910 (syn. nov.).

In the fifth part of the revision on the Asian Metarbelidae we describe the new genus Marcopoloia Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, gen. nov. (type species, by original designation: Arbela discipuncta Wileman, 1915). The male and female of Marcopoloia discipuncta (Wileman, 1915) comb. nov. are redescribed; four new species Marcopoloia leloi Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: C. Vietnam, Gia Lai Prov., Kon Ka Kinh NP), Marcopoloia nangmai Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 20 km N of Bo Luang), Marcopoloia siniaevi Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Mynmar (Burma), 40 km N Myitkyina, Chanc Kand village), and Marcopoloia thaica Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, sp. nov. (type locality: Thailand, Changwat Nan, 30 km E of Pua) are described. A new synonym is established: Arbela discipuncta Wileman, 1915, syn. nov. = Arbela baibarana Matsumura, 1927.

AbstractThe genus Neurohelea Kieffer is restricted to its type species, N. luteitarsis (Waltl) and is returned to the Heteromyiini. The Nearctic species previously recognized as Neurohelea nigra Wirth and N. macroneura (Malloch) are members of the Ceratopogonini and are placed in the new genus Atyphohelea. Neurohelea nigra Wirth is a new synonym of the type species Atyphohelea macroneura (Malloch), new combination. The Baltic amber species Neurohelea cothurnata (Meunier) is also placed in Atyphohelea as a new combination. An unnamed species from Taiwan is described and the pupa of A. macroneura is newly described. The male of Neurobezzia granulosa (Wirth) is described for the first time. The male previously identified as N. granulosa by Grogan & Wirth (1978) is probably the male of Amerohelea frontispina (Dow & Turner) in the Palpomyiini. Medeobezzia Yu is regarded as a new synonym of Neurobezzia Wirth & Ratanaworabhan, which now includes three species. A new world key to the genera of male and female Heteromyiini is provided. The phylogenetic relationships of the described genera are discussed.

AbstractIphitrachelus africanus n.sp., Leptacis mitratus n.sp., Holocoelia debaucheella n.gen. et sp., and the previously unknown male of Leptacis aranea Masn. are described. A key of the four known species of Iphitrachelus is presented. The genus Miramblyaspis Dodd is regarded as a new synonym of Leptacis Först. and the type-species L. mirabilis (Dodd) n. comb. is redescribed.
