This article describes the development of a new three-dimensional model of the British building stock, called ‘3DStock’. The model differs from other 3D urban and stock models, in that it represents explicitly and in detail the spatial relationships between ‘premises’ and ‘buildings’. It also represents the pattern of activities on different floors within buildings. The geometrical/geographical structure of the model is assembled automatically from two existing national data sets. Additional data from other sources including figures for electricity and gas consumption are then attached. Some sample results are given for energy use intensities. The first purpose of the model is in the analysis of energy use in the building stock. With actual energy data for very large numbers of premises, it is possible to take a completely new type of statistical approach, in which consumption can be related to a range of characteristics including activity, built form, construction and materials. Models have been built to date of the London Borough of Camden and the cities of Leicester, Tamworth and Swindon. Work is in progress to extend the modelling to other parts of Britain. Because of the coverage of the data, this will be limited however to England and Wales.

Hydraulic transmission bicycle is a new type of vehicle. It is crucial for founding an effective method of rapid development for new product. The concept drafting of hydraulic transmission bicycle was drawn, the multiple layer assembly model was built based on parametric feature modeling technique, the skeleton model and total design of hydraulic transmission bicycle was accomplished by top-down method and drawings of relevant parts based on three-dimensional model were created. The result shows that top-down method provides a new idea to improve the rapid design of product’s updates.

A batch mixer is considered. The feasibility of developing a new type of mixers is presented. A literary review of domestic and foreign authors on this subject is made. The author's kinematic scheme of the mixer is presented. It describes the effect on the material mixed in the mixing chamber with respect to two mutually perpendicular horizontal axes. Movement features of material in the mixer suggest the presence of elements of the gyroscopic effect. Rotation of the mixing chamber is carried out by means of belt, chain and conical transmission. The resulting complex spatial motion of the material particles can be controlled by a frequency converter and the selection of appropriate gears. An algorithm for modeling the conical transmission for a mixer with a bi-directional rotational effect on the material is presented. Bevel gear is set on the carrier. Preliminary experimental studies have been conducted. A three-dimensional model of the bevel gear is presented. Adjustment of the installation dimensions is shown. A three-dimensional model of a bevel gear transmission, using the NX software product, is supplemented with a table for its calculation and an initial stocking model. The practical implementation of bevel gears in metal is shown. conclusions on modeling are made.

This paper has designed a new type of mechanical structure for a coin-wrapping machine; It’s three-dimensional model has been established by Pro / E 3D modeling software and the kinematic of the Integrated model analysis has been carried out. The simulation results have shown that the coin wrapping process can be simplified and the efficiency can also be improved with the new structure, thereby reducing the costs.

The thermal and hydraulic performances of working fluid in three corrugated channels have been investigated, numerically by a three-dimensional model with a new-type corrugation Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE)—double chevron-type PHE (DCPHE). The heat transfer character, the flow resistance and the Performance Evaluation Criteria (PEC) of the working fluid in double chevron-type PHE have been discussed; Results showed that the double chevron-type PHE with 2:1 of corrugation ratio was better one
