In this paper a modified silicone softener was used on the finishing of stain repellent stain release and wrinkle resistance fabrics. The concentrations of silicone softener, durable press resin CTA-705 and process conditions on the properties of treated fabrics were investigated. In analyzing the results, the fabric's softness rating, smoothness and wrinkle recovery angle (WRA) increased with the increase of softener concentration. The use of softener has little effect on the fabrics soil release and oil repellency. Wrinkle recovery angle increased remarkably and softness rating decreased steadily with the increase of CTA-705 concentration. Soil release, oil repellency and softness rating of the treated fabrics increased steadily when the cured temperature was raised from 140°C to 170°C.

Cotton fabric was treated by chitosan and epoxy-silicone finishing agents to improve its wrinkle-resistant property. The study showed that mixed finish by two agents can provide higher wrinkle-resistance than single finish when applied to the cotton fabrics due to their synergistic effect. In the wrinkle-resistant finishing process, four main factors (chitosan mass concentration, organosilicon volume concentration, baking temperature and baking time) influencing finish effect were discussed and then process conditions were determined. After optimum process treatment, the wrinkle-recovery angle of mixed finished cotton fabric increased evidently while its whiteness and breaking strength dropped a little. In addition, the addition of organosilicon can improve fabric softness. After washed for 30 times, delay wrinkle-recovery angle of mixed finished fabric was 54° higher than that of native fabric, and the treated cotton exhibited good washing resistance.

It is of perfect anti-crease effect that using sericin finishing agent in finishing of silk fabric. Analyzed integration test of wrinkle resistance of silk fabric, the optimally applied parameters are obtained as follows, the dosage of sericin is 15g/L, the concentration of TEA is 8g/L, twice dip and twice rolling, drying, baking in 3 minutes at 150 °C. The wrinkle recovery angle has been increased obviously after sericin finishing. Also the performance of anti-crease resistance can be improved effectively by adding 3g/L of sodium hypophosphite. The phenomena of increased solvent viscosity and activation energy of thermal decomposition were shown that the cross-linking structure were formed in the fiber with the using of sericin finishing, thereby the wrinkle resistance of the fabric was improved. Sericin finishing agent can increased the wrinkle resistant properties of fabrics effectively.

Durable press (DP) finishing is the common process to impart anti-creasing properties to cotton fabrics. Conventionally, the whole fabric was treated by pad-dry-cure (PDC) process in one treating bath. However, this process led to the serious loss of the cotton fabrics in mechanical properties. In this work, the cotton yarns were treated with DP finishing solution. And subsequently, they were dried and cured in a certain temperature. The wrinkle recovery angle (WRA) of yarns was measured. The relationship between the treating process and WRA was studied. The affecting parameters on WRA were acquired by experiment. This work provides basic data for people to know and understand the role of anti-creasing yarns in the whole fabric.

This paper discussed the application of super soft amino-modified silicone oil SM-20 on the PET fabrics, and the experimental conditions such as the dosage of SM-20, cure temperature, cure time, pH value of the solution etc. were optimized according to the influences on the polyester (PET) fabrics after using SM-20 finishing agent. Based on IR spectrum and SEM, the SM-20 finishing agent was verified to possess excellent performance of the PET fabrics for the soft treatment, and the optimal process conditions were: SM-20 10 g/L, pH value 5.0-6.0 (adjusting by acetic acid). After soft treatment by SM-20, the drape coefficient, stiffness and strength of the fabric decreased, while the recovery angle and softness increased.
