Chronic inflammatory arthritis (CIA) severely impacts quality of life in over 100 million people in China. In 2011, the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) developed recommendations for the role of nurses in the management of CIA. However, it remains unknown whether these recommendations could be fully implemented in China. Therefore, we aimed to solve the problem in this study. We conducted a nationwide cross-sectional study among 485 nurses in rheumatology and immunology departments based on an online questionnaire. The agreement of the recommendations by the subjects and the feasibility of the recommendations they believe were assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS). Our results showed that over 80% of the subjects agreed with each recommendation (VAS 5–10), and over 80% of the subjects considered the recommendations feasible (VAS 5–10). This study indicates that the EULAR recommendations can also be well implemented in China.

Background: Dispensing separation (DS) is a critical policy change that will reduce medical costs, improve population health and increase the quality of healthcare in Malaysia. This study aims to determine the awareness and perception of the public regarding the DS methods. Methods: This cross-sectional study uses a pre-validated, self-administered questionnaire, which has been administered to 200 residents in Jitra, Kedah, Malaysia. Descriptive and inferential statistics have been used to analyse the data. Results: Females formed 64.0% of the participants, with Malay being the dominant ethnic group (n = 167, 83.5%); 77.5% of the participants reported they were aware of the role of pharmacists in the healthcare system. However, 35.0% of the participants reported having never heard the term ‘dispensing separation’ in any mainstream media in Malaysia, whereas 73.5% of the participants reported that a pharmacist was more reliable than a physician in providing medicines once the diagnosis had been made and 77.5% of them acknowledged that pharmacists were experts in the field of medication. There was a significant association between the participant’s awareness and the agreement on perceptions toward the implementation of the DS (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Awareness of the implementation of DS among residents in Jitra is still low. However, there is strong evidence of public support and the benefits of DS in Malaysia.

This research analyzes what predictors determine either a problematic internet use (PIU) or a functional Internet use (FIU) in 574 adolescents (303 females and 271 males). A cross-sectional study was proposed based on the compilation of an online questionnaire. It was hypothesized that Online Social-Support positively predicts PIU only when Offline Social-Support is low and Online Social-Support positively predicts FIU only when Offline Social-Support is high. Results show that Online Social-Support doesn't predict PIU, while, Offline Social-Support negatively affects It. FIU isn't affected by Offline Social-Support, while Online Social-Support predicts it. Gender differences occurs in PIU, Offline Social-Support and number of acquaintances in favor of males.
