Technology systems typically are high-energy consumers especially when considering the distinct number of systems encountered in education. Efforts at curbing this consumption to create an efficient technology environment require well-developed tactical and strategic plans. Organizations can begin this journey by developing a road map for a sustainability program. Three technologies, cloud computing, server virtualization, and desktop virtualization, offer great promise and should be a part of the green roadmap for schools. Cloud computing capitalizes on the power of broadband networking to engage needed resources regardless of location and thus creates synergies to reduce energy consumption. Server virtualization allows the school to reduce the number of servers needed while increasing server optimization within the organization. Desktop virtualization meets multiple goals and objectives; it reduces energy and lowers related costs, while at the same time providing more control and flexibility in meeting the technology needs of the organization. This chapter discusses these technologies, their impact, and encourages school administrators to develop strategic as well as tactical plans for creating an energy efficient technology approach.

Our country has a large land area, and the development of physical education is not balanced. In daily teaching activities, teachers and students use computers and networks to teach, which generates massive amounts of data. Schools are limited by funds and cannot meet the growing demand for storage of teaching resources. It is also unable to realize the sharing of teaching resources. In order to solve the problems existing in the existing education and teaching platform of the school, especially in the teaching reform, to meet the requirements of all parties facing physical education, the concept of cloud computing was proposed, and the services and methods provided by the cloud computing-based teaching resource platform were discussed. Through the questionnaire survey method of college students and teachers, statistical methods and logical analysis methods were used to analyze the data collected in the questionnaire. Summary and analysis are as follows. The survey results show that more than 50% of the people are dissatisfied with the current physical education and believe that it has not played its due role, and more than 70% of the people agree with the reform of physical education. The experimental results also show that interesting and diverse physical education courses can attract students to participate and increase their interest. From the overall survey results, the problem of college physical education courses is more serious, and it is urgent to optimize teaching from the cloud computing level. On the one hand, it is necessary to improve the relevant cloud computing and other technical platform facilities; on the other hand, it is necessary to improve the teaching level of teachers and change the current educational concept to make it livelier and more interesting.

With the development of internet technology and computer technology, in order to solve the big data problem in the new era, cloud computing has emerged at the historic moment. Desktop virtualization, as an important application of cloud computing, has experienced unprecedented development. Although traditional virtual desktop solutions can solve the problem of PCs, they cannot be used for centralized distributed cluster deployment, and they mostly rely on the underlying virtualization technology. The dynamic management of virtual machines is mainly to take into account the goals of QoS, resource utilization balance, and power under the premise of ensuring the user experience, the maximum guarantee of the balance of host resource utilization, and the reduction of power consumption of the entire system. The results show that by deploying a test desktop virtualization system, this article reduces the power consumption of host resources, reduces the SLA violation rate (improves the user experience), and improves the balance of host resource utilization.

Cloud computing for IoT (Internet of Things) has exhibited the greatest growth in the IT market in the recent past and this trend is expected to continue. Many companies are adopting a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) for private cloud computing to reduce costs and enhance the efficiency of their servers. As a VDI is widely used, threats of cyber terror and invasion are also increasing. To minimize the damage, response procedure for cyber intrusion on a VDI should be systematized. Therefore, we propose an investigation methodology for VDI solutions in this paper. Here we focus on a virtual desktop infrastructure and introduce various desktop virtualization solutions that are widely used, such as VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft. In addition, we verify the integrity of the data acquired in order that the result of our proposed methodology is acceptable as evidence in a court of law. During the experiment, we observed an error: one of the commonly used digital forensic tools failed to mount a dynamically allocated virtual disk properly.
