Ryan, a fourth-grade student, was always the first to complete any basic-fact drill with 100 percent accuracy, but Ryan was also the most fru strated student in the class when he attempted to solve word problems. He merely picked out the numbers and guessed at which operation to use. Ryan had memorized his basic facts, but had little conceptual understanding of the operations and their applications.

Abstract. Correlation Between Learning Environment at School and Mathematics Learning Outcomes for the Fourth Grade Student of Elementary Schools in Kebumen Sub-District in Academic Year of 2019/2020. The research aims to examine positive correlation between learning environment at school and mathematics learning outcomes and to determine the contribution learning environment at school toward mathematics learning outcomes for the fourth grade students of elementary schools in Kebumen sub-district in academic year of 2019/2020. The research is a quantitative research with correlation method. The samples are obtained by cluster random sampling with Statistical Product and Serice Solution (SPSS) application. The samples are 349 students in twelve elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-District. The data collection techniques include questionnaire and test. Data analysis uses pearson product-moment correlation test with significance level 0.05 and adjusted R square. The correlation test finds sig = 0,000 (sig < 0,05). It means that there is positive and significant correlation between learning environment at school and mathematics learning outcomes. It shows the better learning environment at school, the higher mathematics learning outcomes. Learning environment at school contributes mathematic learning outcomes by 13,1% and the remaining 86.9% is influenced by other factors. The results of this study are in accordance with existing theories and are also supported by relevant research.
Keywords: learning environment at school, mathematics learning outcomes

In this article, we explore through a series of productions our analytic relationships with an interview with Iris—a fourth-grade student who participated in a post-intentional phenomenological study focusing on how social class–sensitive photo storying took shape in a high-poverty elementary school. Following Deleuze and Guattari’s configuration of assemblage as a constant process of making and unmaking, we have plugged into our assemblage (Jackson and Mazzei) some poetry and a dramatization, as well as some of the expected productions of academic writing such as theory, citations, and methodology. In this way, we reconceive the phenomenon as an assemblage that produces, rather than means.

Identity is an important tool for understanding students' participation in mathematics lessons. Researchers usually examine identity at a macro-scale: across typical classroom activity and in students' self-reports. However, learning occurs on a micro-scale: in moments during a lesson. To capture identity in these moments, I used positioning theory to develop a framework of micro-identity and then to examine the identities and learning of 1 fourth-grade student during 1 mathematics lesson. This study demonstrates how mathematical identities can shift in dramatic ways in response to minor changes in context so that a student might be, in one moment, engaged in an identity that undermines learning and then later engaged in an academically productive identity. These shifting micro-identities have important implications for mathematical learning, classroom contexts, and macro-identities.

The purpose of this research is to determine suitability of stundent book of fourth grade student based on Curricullum 2013 on theme “Pahlawanku” subtheme “Perjuangan Para Pahlawan” on lesson six with core competencies, learning objectives, indicator, learning activity, materials, tools and learning resources. This section is the sixth fragmen of eighteen analyze of learning activities plan in student book grade fourth based Curicullum 2013. Research method is descriptive qualitative method by analyzing documents are student book of fourth grade student based on Curricullum 2013 on theme “Pahlawanku” subtheme “Perjuangan Para Pahlawan” on lesson six and teacher book of fourth grade student based on Curricullum 2013 on theme “Pahlawanku” subtheme “Perjuangan para Pahlawan” on lesson six. The analize revolves on the rule of Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nasional, an article discussing about the implementation of Curricullum 2013 and article from website of Badan Nasional Standar Pendidikan (BSNP). Based on result of this research are found that core competencies of mathematics that do not appear in the competency mapping appear in learning materials, indicators of IPA do not match the needed of basic competencies, learning objectives that are not in accordance with the formulation of indicators, materials of IPA and PJOK subjects to liltte and learning subject and tools not listed in student books. Based on the results of the analysis it was conclude that student book of fourth grade student theme “Pahlawanku” subtheme “Perjuangan Para Pahlawan” on lesson six needs a lot of improvement in accordance with the study result.

Thematic learning in 2013 curriculum has competence time front that is ability thinking clear and critical. Student could said have ability critical thinking if they pass by 6 steps of Critical thinking. So this study was a purpose was to analyze critical thinking in class 4 students of SD N 2 Kutosari in thematic learning 2013 curriculum. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were the fourth grade studenst of SD N 2 Kutosari. Data collection though observation, documentation and interview to the fourth grade student. Result research show ability critical thinking of class 4 student of SDN 2 Kutosari already exists, but students do not always think critically but only in limited learning. conducted students begin to be critical with 47,72% of students able to think critically. So the teacher lures students to think critically based on six step of critical thinking
