The subject of the study is the study of technically possible localization options for the contrailer terminal. The relevance is related to the practical need to improve the organization of the station through its track and territorial development.Used analytical, design methods, evolutionary and functional approach.Using the evolutionary-functional approach, alternative, technically possible options for improving the operation of the station were identified, taking into account the location of the contrailer terminal as part of the transport hub.The possible options for the station’s development were critically evaluated. It was found that option 1 is located close to the station and requires minimal time to perform shunting operations. The advantages of option 2: the proximity of a year-round working seaport; a large free area for construction and no intersection with the main tracks of the station. It is noted that the final decision is possible only after the economic assessment of the options.

A novel coupled-line structure is proposed to design dual-band and high-power Gysel power dividers with inherent impedance-transforming functions. Based on traditional even- and odd-mode technique, the analytical design methods in closed-form formula are obtained and the accurate electrical parameters analysis is presented. Due to the usage of coupled-line sections, more design-parameter freedom and a wider frequency-ratio operation range for this kind of dual-band Gysel powder divider are obtained. Several numerical examples are designed and calculated to demonstrate flexible dual-band applications with different impedance-transforming functions. A practical microstrip power divider operating at 2 GHz and 3.2 GHz is designed, fabricated, and measured. The good agreement between the calculated and measured results verifies our proposed circuit structure and analytical design approach.

Co-design is a process in which designers and users collaborate as ‘equals’ to develop innovative solutions. Co-design methods are increasingly used by professional designers to facilitate and enable users to co-develop innovative solutions for ‘themselves’. For example, the Design Council is advocating the use of co-design methods to support the development of practical innovative solutions to social problems such as increased cost of elderly care and tackling child poverty. The involvement of users in developing solutions acknowledges that their take up is dependent on the ways users create and negotiate meanings of objects and services.
