There was a discrepancy found between the practice of identification of the soldiers who went missing in action during the Great Patriotic War and also the reburied ones and the possibilities of automated processing of the war and post-war archive documents using modern information technology. Using the practical application of the mix of technologies of the databases, geographic information systems and the Internet as an example there is a possibility demonstrated to establish the destiny of a soldier who was considered missing in action. As far as the GIS technologies are concerned the methods of forming the atlas of rastre electronic maps and vector maps with the data from the archive sources have been the most significant. The atlas of raster electronic maps of the Great Patriotic War period for the Kalinin Battle Front and the 30th army which was formed in the process of research has been registered in Rospatent in the form of database. The functionality of the research was provided by applying various programming means

В статье проведен анализ поведения людей в трагический период начала Великой Отечественной войны на основе материалов трилогии «Живые и мертвые» К. Симонова. Особое внимание обращено на формирование воинского умения, нравственного отношения между персонажами романа и противником, а также на изменение внутреннего сознания героев романа. The article analyzes the behavior of people in the tragic period of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War on the basis of the trilogy “Alive and Dead” by K. Simonov. Particular attention is paid to the formation of military skills, moral relationship between the characters of the novel and the enemy, as well as to a change in the internal consciousness of the heroes of the novel.

The subject of the article is a description of one of the major commemorative rituals of the Udmurt, the yyr-pyd s’oton, ‘giving away of the head and legs (of an animal)’ supplemented by pictures. This particular traditional commemoration with innovative elements was conducted in the village of Bagrash-Bigra in Malaya Purga district, Udmurt Republic in September, 2021 in honour of those who died during the Great Patriotic War.

The article actualizes the resource memory and the practice of perpetuating the events and people of the great patriotic war as a source of experience of a civil act. The aim of the study was to characterize the combat path of the 194th infantry red banner rechitsa division during the great patriotic war, supplemented by new sources of information. The chronological method makes it possible to show the combat path of the division during the war years, as well as to determine the time of its reorganization, to identify the main combat operations in which the division participated, to establish the routes of its movement. The descriptive method provides an opportunity to supplement the existing information with new materials that were not previously available to the researcher. The statistical method allows you to establish the number of servicemen related to the division, the number of awarded and determine the number of those killed in the division. All these data appeared relatively recently on the site memory of the people, it is only required to conduct a detailed count of the dead on the basis of viewing the documents. The comparative method allows one to assess the role and skill of the division command in planning combat operations, in preparing reinforcements, in the ability to manage divisions of a division in comparison with divisions of a similar profile. In the context of the policy of perpetuating the memory of exploits and sacrifices on the example of 194 sd. Presents the results of search archival work on local events of the great patriotic war and the significance of combat losses during the liberation of belarus.
