During extensive field surveys in the 2015 year, Eurycoma apiculata A.W. Benn has been found for the first time in the forest reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio, Kampar District of Riau province. This finding is a new record of the medicinal plant in Indonesia. The taxonomic description and photographs of the species are given in this article.

For the documentation of grasses in the central Western Ghats of Karnataka, we have conducted the extensive field surveys by using random sampling method from 2017 to 2020.  During this survey we have collected some grass specimens from the shola grassland, which forms the new distributional record of Trisetopsis aspera (Munro ex Thwaites) Roser & A. Wolk to the flora of central Western Ghats, Karnataka, India from the montane high- lands of Baba Budangiri hills of Chikkamagaluru District.

Aquilaria yunnanensis S.C. Huang (Thymelaeaceae), known to be endemic to Yunnan, is recorded for the first time from Dong Son Ky Thuong Nature Reserve, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam. A taxonomic description and DNA analysis based on our Vietnamese collections are presented, together with information on its distribution, habitat and colour photographs.

During the survey of wild edible mushrooms in between tropical and temperate belt of Nepal in rainy season 2010 -2012, many macro fungal species were collected and identified. The paper highlights on new record of Volvorella taylorii (Berk and Broome) Sing. The species was reported and re-described for the first time from Nepal. Along with, taxonomic description of the two species of Volvorella found in the same studied area, have also been provided. Phytogeographycally, the sample collected area lies within a narrow limit of 9.75 hectare at the altitude between 335 and 400 masl in tropical deciduous riverine forest. The dried specimens are housed in the Tribhuvan University Central Herbarium (TUCH), Kirtipur Kathmandu, Nepal.

The present work deals with the morpho-taxonomic description of two species namely Dichotomosiphon tuberosus (A.Br.) Ernst and Vaucheria sessilis (Vauch.) D.C. of the family Vaucheriaceae under the order Heterosiphonales belonging to the class Xanthophyceae for the first time explored from Hooghly district, West Bengal, India. Codonopsis bhutanica Ludlow, a lesser-known endemic species to central and eastern Himalaya, collected for the first time from Arunachal Pradesh, India.  The species was previously known only from Bhutan and Nepal.  The species is reported here with a detailed taxonomic description along with habitat image, a photo-plate illustrating different features and a map showing the locality in Arunachal Pradesh as a new record to Indian flora.

Albiziaprocera (Roxb.) Benth.is a common ornamental and medicinal plant species distributed throughout the India.This plant was found to be very susceptive to different insect pest attack. The present study was done to investigate Heteropsyllacubana infestation on A. proceraand its morphometrics at Institute of Forest Productivity, Ranchi, India during 2014 and 2015. The infestation of H. cubanawas first time observed A. procerain Jharkhand. Infestation pattern of H. cubana was recorded and it was found that H. cubana as a serious pest of A. procera in Jharkhand. Additionally,morphometrics of egg, nymphal stages and adult of this psyllid insect was also recorded in this study.

This article reports the occurrence of the thalloid liverwort Cyathodium denticulatum Udar et Srivastava was collected first time from the Achanakmar – Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve (AABR) Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. It is shown that Cyathodium denticulatum a narrow Himalayan endemic has been reported earlier from Darjeeling, India. There is no record of its occurrence from central India. Cyathodium denticulatum is a rare species known only from eastern Himalayan region. A key to related Indian taxa and taxonomic description is provided.
