The composites of Cu, Carbonyl iron (CI), carbon nanofiber (CNF), graphite nanoflake (GNF)/polypyrrole (PPy) and [(Cu-CI-CNF-GNF) 0.5-PAA]-PPy0.5 were synthesized via different methods by in-situ polymerization on the surface of nanoparticles (NPs) with core-shell structure. This paper describes a method for polyacrylic acid (PAA) coating of NPs in aqueous solution. Then PPy coating was performed by template polymerization on NPs-PAA. Morphology, magnetic and conductivity properties were observed via scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and four probe method, respectively. The microwave characterization of nanocomposite was evaluated through arch test based on a network analyzer. The PPy nanocomposites possessed the excellent microwave multi absorbers properties in 2-18 GHz. It was also found that nanocomposites with 50% w/w and light weight exhibit good microwave absorbing properties in 2-3 GHz and 5-14 GHz frequency, so can be used to cellphone, radio frequency and radar shielding.

The PANI/ITO conducting nanocomposites have been synthesized by in-situ polymerization. The obtained nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction pattern, scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared. Electrical conductivity measurements on the samples pressed into pellets showed that the maximum conductivity attained 2.0 ± 0.05 S/cm for PANI/ITO nanocomposites, at ITO doping concentration of 10 wt%. The results of the present work may provide a simple, rapid and efficient approach for preparing PANI/ITO nanocomposites.

The nano-CeO2 was synthesized by two-step solid-phase reaction. The image of TEM showed that nano-CeO2 with an average size of about 70 nm. The series of polyaniline/nano-CeO2 composites with different PANi: CeO2 ratios were prepared by in-situ polymerization in the presence of hydrochloric acid (HCl) as dopant by adding nano-CeO2 into the polymerization reaction mixture of aniline. The composites obtained were characterized by FT-IR and UV-vis spectroscopy analysis. The FT-IR spectra of nanocomposites indicate different blue-shifts, attributed to C–N stretching mode for benzenoid unit. The UV-vis spectra of nanocomposites display einstein-shifts compared with PANi at 620nm. The conductivity properties of the composites are also changed compare to the pure PANi. These results suggest that the interactions between the polymer matrix and nanoparticles take place in polyaniline/nano- CeO2 composites.

In this paper, the magnetite/polyaniline (PANI) nanocomposite was prepared by the novel reverse in situ polymerization method. Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized in situ in PANI chloroform solution to form a suspension containing the Fe3O4/PANI nanocomposite. It overcame the disadvantage of oxidation of the Fe3O4 by the oxidant in conventional method. The Fe3O4/PANI chloroform suspension and the Fe3O4/PANI powder were characterized by FT-IR, TEM, XRD, vibrating sample magnetometer, Gouy magnetic balance, conductivity meter, and vector network analyzer. It is demonstrated that the Fe3O4/PANI suspension has a good electrical conductivity that is up to 2.135 μS/cm at the optimal ratio of reactants. The Fe3O4 nanoparticles are well dispersed in the PANI network with a particle size of about 10 nm. Fe3O4/PANI powder has high saturation magnetization and magnetic susceptibility, as well as a broad application prospect in the field of electromagnetic devices. The Fe3O4/PANI powder exhibits an excellent microwave absorption behavior, which can be an outstanding candidate for the rapid development of broadband shielding materials.

In this study, we report on a successful preparation nanocomposites poly (o-toluidine) (POT) doping with dodecylbenzene sulfonate acid (DBSA)/ ZnO by in-situ polymerization of (o-toluidine) monomer using ZnO nanoparticles (the weight ratios OT/ZnO: 1/5%, 1/10%, 1/15%). The composite films have been prepared by using the casting method on different substrate depending on the type of measurement. The surface morphology properties of the prepared samples were studied by the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The results of FESEM indicate that ZnO nanoparticles were successfully embedded in the POT via chemical interactions between ZnO and (O-toluidine) monomer and the EDX spectrum showed the presence of element Zn in POT-DBSA/ZnO composites. The crystal structure was measured by x-ray directional and its pattern revealed the presence of ZnO in dopant polymer, in the diffraction patterns of POT-DBSA. The intensity of the peaks was increased as the amount of ZnO nanoparticles increased in POT-DBSA. The typical rectifying behaviour indicated that the formation of a diode observes by the I–V characterization of POT-DBSA/ZnO composites at thin film layer with top Al thin layer contact.
