Rehabilitating atrophied mandible with two-implant supported denture is a common treatment modality for implant retained removable overdenture in mandible. This paper aims to design a treatment modality where single implant reinforced overdenture is fabricated for a severely atrophied mandibular ridge with early loading protocol. Results of studies have shown that a single implant mandibular overdenture significantly increases the satisfaction and quality of life of patients with edentulism. Midline fracture of the prosthesis is the most common complication related to single implant and two-implant retained mandibular overdentures. To manage such complication, a thin metal mesh is used to reinforce the overdenture and also to make the prostheses lighter and cost effective as compared to conventional cast metal framework.

Dental implants are now considered as a predictable treatment modality for the oral rehabilitation of partially or fully edentulous patients. Recently emphasis has changed towards achieving a predictable esthetic success. Creating aesthetically successful implant-supported restoration in the anterior region of oral cavity depends on the presence of interimplant papilla when multiple implants are used. The present paper reports a case of interimplant papilla reconstruction in esthetic zone of maxilla during one stage early loading multiple implant procedure using demineralized freeze dried bone allograft block fixed by titanium screw.

The restoration of the mandibular arch up to the first molars with 5 one-piece implants presents a viable and cost-effective treatment plan in patients with adequate bone volume and favorable ridge relationships. The early loading of the implants with a provisional restoration reduces the period of edentulousness and restores the patient's ability to eat, talk, and smile effectively. Implants in younger patients prevent resorption of the residual alveolar ridge. This article presents a case report of the restoration of an edentulous mandibular arch with an early loaded implant-supported fixed restoration in a young patient.
