The article argues for a proposal for such a step in the direction of strengthening social support for the least protected groups of the Russian population and the development of the entire system of social state guarantees as a whole, as the introduction of a socially acceptable consumer basket instead of a consumer basket of the subsistence minimum. The advantages of the normative method of forming consumer baskets over the normative-statistical method are revealed. Based on the analysis of actual consumption of both food and non-food products and services, the qualitative and quantitative structure of the socially acceptable consumer basket is determined (using natural and value indicators).

The paper provides the first results of a study of the qualitative and quantitative structure of the community of bottom meiofauna (meiobenthos) in shallow, hypereutrophic Lake Nero (Volga River basin, Yaroslavl region, Russia). In the samples, collected in early September 2017, 106 representatives from 16 systematic groups of aquatic organisms were found. About half of them had not been previously recorded in the lake's fauna. The species composition of Gastrotricha, Nematoda, Tardigrada, Acari, Harpacticoida, and Ostracoda was analyzed in the water body for the first time. It is established that at the end of the vegetation season, the lake's meiobenthos characterizes by relatively high species richness, diversity, and quantitative parameters. The circle of the main (dominant) community members in the studied period was outlined.

This is a long-term study (1993-1998) on the effects of increasing eutrophication on the crustacean zooplankton structure in a eutrophic reservoir. The study first demonstrates that the eutrophication increase verified is a phenomenon well described by a single abiotic variable: total phosphorus. During the study period, zooplankton suffered extensive qualitative and quantitative changes. Significant size and biomass responses of certain zooplankton groups to the temporal variations of total phosphorus were found. These findings suggest that the variables size and biomass of major zooplankton groups should always be considered simultaneously in order to assess impacts caused by eutrophication on the structure of zooplankton.

The article is devoted to the history of origin and development of underexplored libraries of theological seminaries in the Upper Volga region. There is analyzed the qualitative and quantitative structure of library stocks. There is determined the need of fundamental and student's libraries and their influence on pupils and teachers of theological schools on the example of Kostroma and Yaroslavl provinces.
