Abstract The cross sections of the reactions 70Zn(n,2n)69mZn,74Ge(n,α)71mZn and 90Zr(n,2n)89m,gZr in the energy range of 13.82–14.71 MeV were measured by the activation technique in combination with HPGe detector γ-ray spectroscopy. The measured results were compared with other experimental data and with the data given in the library TENDL-2019. A nuclear model calculation based on the code TALYS-1.8 was also performed after adjustment of an input parameter for the spin distribution of level density. The results of this work strengthen the database and could be useful in further evaluation of the data.

Summary Cross sections of 45Sc(n, 2n)44m,g Sc reactions and their isomeric cross section ratios σm/σg have been measured at three neutron energies between 13.5 and 14.8 MeV using the activation technique. The pure cross section of the groundstate was then obtained by utilizing the absolute cross section of the metastable state and analysis methods of residual nuclear decay. The monoenergetic neutron beam was produced via the 3H(d, n)4He reaction. The cross sections were also estimated with the TALYS-1.2 nuclear model code using different level density options, at neutron energies varying from the reaction threshold to 20 MeV. Results are also discussed and compared with some corresponding values found in the literature.

Abstract:The cross sections for (n,x) reactions on samarium isotopes were measured at (d-T) neutron energies of 13.5 and 14.8 MeV with the activation technique. Samples were activated along with Nb and Al monitor foils to determine the incident neutron flux. Theoretical calculations of excitation functions were performed using the nuclear model codes TALYS-1.6 and EMPIRE-3.2 Malta with default parameters, at neutron energies varying from the reaction threshold to 20 MeV. The results were discussed and compared with experimental data found in the literature. At neutron energies 13.5 and 14.8 MeV, the cross sections of the
