Sino-Algerian B2B Relational Exchange via E-Marketplace: Case Study of Algerian Import Companies

Abstract The objective of this paper is to investigate the influence of Sino-Algerian B2B relational exchange via e-marketplace, by examining the two instrumental dimensions of relational exchange where information exchange and flexibility were tested. Toward that goal, a survey is employed to Algerian import companies to determine the quality of relational exchange with Chinese companies when trading via e-marketplace. A conceptual framework was developed based on extended literature review and examined on data collected from 70 companies through a survey methodology. As a result, Algerian import companies have a good and strong relational exchange with Chinese companies via e-marketplace, due to high degree of transparency, just-in-time services and special facilities in language negotiation, ordering, payment methods and shipment provided by Chinese companies. Thus, non-trust on e-commerce and internet infrastructure in Algeria has affected the trust on after-purchase activities via e-marketplace. So, Algerian companies strongly trust on Chinese companies but they weakly trust on trading with them via e-marketplace.

Allocation of a large number of resources to tasks in a complex environment is often a very challenging problem. This is primarily due to the fact that a large number of resources to be allocated results into an optimization problem that involves a large number of decision variables. Most of the optimization algorithms suffer from this issue of non-scalability. Further, the uncertainties and dynamic nature of environment make the optimization problem quite challenging. One of the techniques to overcome the issue of scalability that have been considered recently is to carry out the optimization in a distributed or decentralized manner. Such techniques make use of local information to carry out global optimization. However, such techniques tend to get stuck in local minima. Further, the connectivity graph that governs the sharing of information plays a role in the performance of algorithms in terms of time taken to obtain the solution, and quality of the solution with respect to the global solution. In this paper, we propose a distributed greedy algorithm inspired by market based concepts to optimize a cost function. This paper studies the effectiveness of the proposed distributed algorithm in obtaining global solutions and the phase transition phenomenon with regard to the connectivity metrics of the graph that underlies the network of information exchange. A case study involving resource allocation in wildland firefighting is provided to demonstrate our algorithm.

The sustainable landscpe design is a strategic framework in city planning and urban recreational areas, important for the quality of life of an increasingly urbanized society. This study deals with a better understanding of visitors demand and noise properties of Ayazmana promenade area, located in Isparta city center, Turkiye. The approach in the study is an exploration one with a base in site observations, interviews and survey. However, the average noise levels of the area was measured between 43.1 to 58.1 dB(A) in Autumn and 50.2 to 62.0 dB(A) in Spring, respectively. The recreational characteristics of Ayazmana promenade area were further evaluated with survey methodology on total of 100 respondents. Moreover, majority of participants (79) reported to be visiting of that promenade area for cheating with friends, followed by 78 for traveling, 70 for walking, 65 for sitting in green open spaces and for picnic, 57 for listening music and 53 for sporting activities, respectively. It is noticeable that most of the respondents (92%) were described the Ayazmana promenade area is somewhat noisy. At the end of survey study, it was requested to assessed the Ayazmana promenade area with some suggestions by respondents.

Medical staff shortages in the UK have provided impetus for the introduction of advanced clinical practitioners (ACPs). This case study explored the views of 22 ACPs, managers and doctors in primary and acute settings in a region of England, to understand how the role is used, and barriers and facilitators to its success. ACP roles improved the quality of service provision, provided clinical career development and enhanced job satisfaction for staff and required autonomous clinical decision-making, with a high degree of self-awareness and individual accountability. Barriers included disparate pay-scales and funding, difficulty accessing continuing education and research, and lack of agreed role definition and title, due to a lack of standardised regulation and governance, and organisational barriers, including limited access to referral systems. Facilitators were supportive colleagues and opportunities for peer networking. Regulation of ACP roles is urgently needed, along with evaluation of the cost-effectiveness and patient experience of such roles.

OpenStreetMap (OSM) is currently the largest openly licensed collection of geospatial data. Being OSM increasingly exploited in a variety of applications, research has placed great attention on the assessment of its quality. This work focuses on assessing the quality of OSM buildings. While most of the studies available in literature are limited to the evaluation of OSM building completeness, this work proposes an original approach to assess the positional accuracy of OSM buildings based on comparison with a reference dataset. The comparison relies on a quasi-automated detection of homologous pairs on the two datasets. Based on the homologous pairs found, warping algorithms like e.g. affine transformations and multi-resolution splines can be applied to the OSM buildings to generate a new version having an optimal local match to the reference layer. A quality assessment of the OSM buildings of Milan Municipality (Northern Italy), having an area of about 180 km2, is then presented. After computing some measures of completeness, the algorithm based on homologous points is run using the building layer of the official vector cartography of Milan Municipality as the reference dataset. Approximately 100000 homologous points are found, which show a systematic translation of about 0.4 m on both the X and Y directions and a mean distance of about 0.8 m between the datasets. Besides its efficiency and high degree of automation, the algorithm generates a warped version of OSM buildings which, having by definition a closest match to the reference buildings, can be eventually integrated in the OSM database.

The quality of institutions is important for economic growth and inflow of foreign direct investment. Business environment institutions may introduce certain adaptations of the conditions as a response to foreign investors’ expectations. The main objective of the research was to evaluate business environment institutions, exemplified herein by Investor Service Centres, in terms of their active participation in the process of attracting foreign investors. The empirical investigation (using questionnaire forms, carried out in the first half of 2013) was completed by employees of 10 centres (62.5%). COI employees use most of the available sources of information about foreign investors. COIs are very active in their information search, and do not resort to the simplest possibilities, for example the Internet. Foreign investors contacted offices having previously found relevant information about chosen investment locations. COIs actively cooperate with other institutions in order to attract foreign investors. They undertake various activities to reach this aim, most of which demand a high degree of engagement. Most often COI employees promoted available investment sites themselves rather than delegate this task to agencies. In order to improve the efficiency of COIs, they should strive towards building relationships between institutions.

Purpose: The investigation of the customer`s viewpoints and utilizing their ideas and expectations in improving the quality of the products, has turned out to be one of the key concerns of the companies working in all fields. Airline industry as one of the most extensive modes of transportation should be strictly accurate in providing services to their customers. This article attempts to investigate important dimensions from passengers' point of view and present a model which would evaluate the flight attendant's performance.Design/methodology: In order to achieve this purpose, on the basis of the literature and experts' and passengers' point of view, the SERVQUAL model has been modified with 26 factors in 6 dimensions. Then 300 data have been gathered for the Factor Analysis Model.Findings: As a result, a model with high goodness of fit has been developed which could be used as a tool of measuring quality of service with a high degree of certainty. In the end, running the model in Iran air, most differences were as below: 1-Improvement 2-Responsiveness 3-Empathy 4-Assurance 5-Tangibles 6-Reliability.Originality/value: In general, in this model, all services with which employees are involved are observed. However, the main issue in this research is related to attendant team. Consequently, considering that many of these indicators have different meanings in assessing customer satisfaction in relation to the performance of flight attendant; modifications should be made to the dimensions of the SERVQUAL model.

Although reporting on the responsibility and beneficial effect of a corporation is becoming standard practice, it is traditionally considered as part of the annual financial performance report in the Czech region. A change to the new form and content was to be ensured by an amendment to the legislation with effect from 1 January 2017. The perception of new approaches has not been investigated or published to date so the aim of the research was to ascertain how the new quality of reporting is applied in Czech corporations. Data for empirical research was excerpted from reports published by large public interest entities in 2018. To verify the generally perceived assumption of a positive correlation between the size of corporations and the quality of their reports, or more precisely between the quality of reports and the satisfaction of users' needs, the methods of quantitative and qualitative financial analysis were applied. The analyzes have yielded comparable results to global developments in the publication of non-financial information in terms of form and content. Lower representation has been reported in the fight against corruption and environmental protection. The model for measuring the quality of non-financial reports based on a point score confirmed a higher medium to high degree of quality.

Purpose Misophonia is a sound tolerance disorder condition in certain sounds that trigger intense emotional or physiological responses. While some persons may experience misophonia, a few patients suffer from misophonia. However, there is a dearth of literature on audiological assessment and management of persons with misophonia. The purpose of this report is to discuss the assessment of misophonia and highlight the management option that helped a patient with misophonia. Method A case study of a 26-year-old woman with the complaint of decreased tolerance to specific sounds affecting quality of life is reported. Audiological assessment differentiated misophonia from hyperacusis. Management included retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy based on the principles described by P. J. Jastreboff and Jastreboff (2014). A misophonia questionnaire was administered at regular intervals to monitor the effectiveness of therapy. Results A detailed case history and audiological evaluations including pure-tone audiogram and Johnson Hyperacusis Index revealed the presence of misophonia. The patient benefitted from intervention, and the scores of the misophonia questionnaire indicated a decrease in the severity of the problem. Conclusions It is important to differentially diagnose misophonia and hyperacusis in persons with sound tolerance disorders. Retraining counseling as well as desensitization and habituation therapy can help patients who suffer from misophonia.

This paper presents a successful behavioral case study in treatment of chronic refractory cough in a 60-year-old adult female. The efficacy for speech-language pathology treating chronic cough is discussed along with description of treatment regime. Discussion focuses on therapy approaches used and the patient's report of changes in quality of life and frequency, duration, and severity reduction of her cough after treatment.
