Abstract The article presents the results of laboratory tests on the influence of the choice of the vehicle suspension position and the method of mounting child seats on the vibration comfort of children transported in them. Two child seats were used in the work. The B seat was attached to the vehicle with the ISOfix system, while the A seat was attached in the classic way (with seat belts). During the tests, the values of vertical vibrations were recorded on the seats of child seats, the rear seat of the vehicle and on the basis of ISOfix. The analyzed systems, depending on the method of mounting a child seat, may be characterized by two different vibration transmission chains. They depend on the method of fixing the child seat (the classic way of fixing the seat and the ISOFIX system). The article presents the results of empirical tests carried out at the EUSAMA SA.640 stand, which in these tests acted as a vibration generator with a frequency of 0 to 25 Hz. The analysis of the obtained results confirmed the observations published in previous articles about the negative impact of the use of the ISOfix base on the vibrational comfort of children.

The vertical elastic beam with vertical ambient excitation is proposed as an energy harvester. The beam has a tip mass and piezoelectric patches which transduce the bending strains induced by the stochastic force caused by vertical kinematic forcing into electrical charge. We focus on the region with a fairly large amplitude of voltage output where the beam overcomes the potential barrier. Increasing the noise level allows the transition from single well oscillations to inter-well stochastic jumps with more power generation.

In this paper, the defect sheet was captured coincidentally. According to the defective product’s characteristics, we suspected to be caused by the vertical vibration of the roll. When the rolling speed reached a certain value, the vibration of the fourth stand can be feel. The experiment of the vibration data collection was taken to compare the vibration parameters of rolling operating side with those of drive side by wavelet analysis. The result states that the abnormal vibration signal features can be extracted in a special frequency segment of wavelet decomposition, and the vibration frequency to the roll is confirmed which appeared product defects.

Abstract In the present paper a dynamics of a thin ferrofluid film under the vertical vibration in a static magnetic field is examined. The vibrational amplitude is assumed to be greater than film thickness so that vibrational force is greater than magnetic and gravitational forces. The pulsating part and the averaged part of the hydrodynamics fields are obtained. The solution of pulsating part for the traveling surface wave is found. The equation for the averaged surface profile is found.

Silty fine sand is the second smallest sand with a particle diameter ranging from 0.0625 to 0.120 mm.This kind of sand exists in a large amount in Beijing subway excavation project. Due to the poor self-stabilization of this stratum, seeping , sand flow and collapse take place frequently. Grouting materials such as Portland cement and soluble glass (also called sodium silicate) are employed in most of excavation projects to reinforce this sand stratum. However, the reinforcement is not effective, leading to a large amount of accidents in the process of construction. The reason may be attributed to the fact that Portland cement is unable to penetrate into the stratum and the strength of soluble glass (0.6MPa) is too weak to resist the stratum pressure. To solve this problem, a modified microfine cement grouting material able to penetrate into silty fine sand stratum is developed in this paper. A combination of suspension and diluent is used to increase the penetration extension of the grouts, and the experimental results reveal that the addition of the mixture of suspension and diluent in microfine cement grouting materials improves the penetration property substantially.
