This paper, taking Changchun rail transit as an example, proposes a new method to simulate its running that is hierarchized simulation using timed discrete Petri and Simulink/Stateflow. Firstly, this paper uses the timed discrete Petri nets to build Changchun rail transit line 1-4 running model. And then, based on the timed discrete Petri nets model above, this paper also studies hierarchized simulation model by the tool of Simulink/Stateflow, which consists of two layers: the bottom layer is a single line model, and the top layer is a whole line model. In order to realize the rail transit running visualization, the tool of Matlab/App Designer is employed to design monitoring interface for Changchun rail transit line 1-4. This method is scalable and popularized.

Extensive efforts have been made in pedestrian evacuation of urban rail transit systems, since there has emerged an increasing number of congestion problems. However, few studies focus on the comprehensive urban rail transit hubs. As a comprehensive interchange hub integrating urban railway and intercity railway lines, Beijing West Railway Station was taken as a case study object. The pedestrian evacuation characteristics were analysed first. Then, a social force-based simulation model of Beijing West Railway Station was constructed in PTV Viswalk. The model was applied to visually display a real evacuation process and help identify evacuation bottlenecks. The results showed that the risk points at different facilities had various causes and features. Furthermore, the simulation model could also be used to evaluate the effectiveness of different optimization measures as long as certain model parameters were changed beforehand.

This paper from the network level design the urban rail transit passenger transport microcosmic simulation model. Take the model’s achieve and apply as a target, through analyse the simulation model’s class library and its properties, design the event driven model, optimize the model frame and etc work, develop the urban rail transit passenger transport microcosmic simulation system, and through the Suzhou Rail transit planning network’s calculation example, verified the system’s availability.

Most of the new stations have chosen to install Platform Screen Door (PSD) for safety and energy-saving. But this will lead to the distribution of passengers are not evenly distributed but gathered in front of the PSD. Traditional idea will not reflect the true state of waiting passengers. Design a new method of passenger state classification evaluation in urban rail transit station platform is essential. In this paper, we proposed a new approach to evaluate the level of service (LOS) of platform. The results suggest that the new approach provides a better performance than its alternatives.
