<p>To investigate whether the Class Library of the International Institute of Modern Letters was meeting the information needs of the students in the Master of Arts (Creative Writing) an exploratory research approach was used. A sequential mixed methodology study comprised of a questionnaire, with both quantitative and qualitative content, to canvass student responses as well as interviews with the Institute's students, its teaching staff, and the Collection Development Librarian of the Victoria University of Wellington Central Library. The findings showed that students made significant use of the Class Library, often in preference to the University Library. This usage was based on factors such as collection quality, proximity to the Institute, accessibility of the collection and the availability of reading material.   Library anxiety experienced when using the Central Library is another probable factor. Based on these findings, it was recommended that the Institute retain the Class Library as an autonomous collection and not integrate it into the collection of the Victoria University of Wellington Central Library.</p>

Context. For computer modeling of complex objects and phenomena of various nature, in practice, the numerical finite element method is often used. Its software implementation (especially for the study of new classes of problems) is a rather laborious process. The high cost of software development makes the development of new approaches to improving the efficiency of programming and maintenance (including the addition of new functions) urgent. Objective. The aim of the work is to create a new effective architecture of programs for finite element analysis of problems in mathematical physics, which makes it easy to expand their functionality to solve new classes of problems. Method. A method for developing programs for finite element analysis using generalized programming is proposed, which makes it possible to significantly simplify the architecture of the software and make it more convenient for maintenance and modification by separating algorithms and data structures. A new architecture of classes that implement finite element calculation is proposed, which makes it possible to easily expand the functionality of programs by adding new types of finite elements, methods for solving systems of linear algebraic equations, parallel computations, etc. Results. The proposed approach was implemented in software as a class library in C ++. A number of computational experiments have been carried out, which have confirmed its efficiency in solving practical problems. Conclusions. The developed approach can be used both to create general-purpose finite element analysis systems with an open architecture, and to implement specialized software packages focused on solving specific classes of problems (fracture mechanics, elastomers, contact interaction, etc.).

Verification process place a prominent role in the field of SoC and ASIC design. Several verification methodologies are there apart from those Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) is advanced and it is widely used by the industries due to its special features. UVM provides reusable and well-structured verification components by using System Verilog class library. In this work, Dual Port RAM is considered as Design Under Test (DUT). System Verilog and UVM verification environments are developed to verify the DUT. Assertion and cover group coverage are set up with a goal of achieving 100% from both the environments.

The elementary school regards the development of reading skills and the cultivation of free reading among students as one of its tasks. one of its ways of achieving this is to operate libraries in the school. Some schools provide only a central library. Some societies or locales, however, also believe in operating classroom collections in the elementary grades, so as to increase children' a exposure to books and reading. The reading habits of 301 fourth-grade students in Israel were examined. The sample included: (a) children who participated in a class library project in grades 2-3, with a central library also existing in the school; (b) children who participated in a class-library project in grades 2-3, with no central library in the school; and (c) children who did not participate in a class-library project, while having a central library in the school. Certain contribution of the class library project emerges, but the realization of this contribution depends on the existence of a central library in the school. A class library is not a substitute for a central collection. It can only constitute one approach among different approaches that can encourage children reading.

The GeoModel class library for detector description has recently been released as an open-source package and extended with a set of tools to allow much of the detector modeling to be carried out in a lightweight development environment, outside of large and complex software frameworks. These tools include the mechanisms for creating persistent representation of the geometry, an interactive 3D visualization tool, various command-line tools, a plugin system, and XML and JSON parsers. The overall goal of the tool suite is a fast geometry development cycle with quick visual feedback. The tool suite can be built on both Linux and Macintosh systems with minimal external dependencies. It includes useful command-line utilities: gmclash which runs clash detection, gmgeantino which generates geantino maps, and fullSimLight which runs GEANT4 simulation on geometry imported from GeoModel description. The GeoModel tool suite is presently in use in both the ATLAS and FASER experiments. In ATLAS it will be the basis of the LHC Run 4 geometry description.
