The paper describes a clinical example of the intraocular correction of high-grade hyperopic anisometropia. Surgical treatment made it possible to restore binocular vision, obtain high visual functions without additional correction, preserve the accommodative ability of the eye, and achieve rapid visual rehabilitation.

Purpose. To analyze changes in binocular vision functions in patients with acutely acquired esotropia after preoperative correction by prisms. Material and methods. The study included 10 patients with acutely acquired esotropia with diplopia. Depending on the tactics of preoperative case management, two groups were distinguished: 1 - 5 patients, this group underwent preoperative prismatic correction of diplopia and the deviation angle, 2 - 5 patients, in this group underwent surgery without prior prismatic correction. Fresnel prisms were used to select and assign prismatic correction. The patients were monitored dynamically. Results. In the course of treatment 1 group according to the indicator of Worth's four-dot test color test, revealed a statistically significant increase in the frequency of value of the binocular single vision (p=0.041), the frequency of the presence of stereovision according to the Fly-test (p=0.013). Conclusion. Prismatic correction in combination with surgical treatment had better curative benefits than surgery itself in improving binocular and stereoscopic visual functions. Key words: acutely acquired esotropia, binocular vision, Fresnel prisms.

The aim of the work was to analyze the long-term results of using a temporary “liquid” implant in the surgery of congenital glaucoma in children. The basis of the developed method of filtrative antiglaucomatous surgery (Patent of Ukraine No. 45099 of 2009) – viscosinusotrabeculotomy – has been set the task of reducing the risk of developing intra- and postoperative complications, reducing the scarring rate and maintaining the newly created ways of the intraocular fluid outflow, which in general will increase the effectiveness of surgical treatment of congenital glaucoma in children. 54 children (91 eyes) with simple congenital glaucoma at the age of 1 to 36 months were operated on average (8.7 ± 8.2) months. The persistent and long-lasting hypotensive effect achieved due to viscosinusotrabeculotomy in children with developed and far-advanced stages of congenital glaucoma stops the processes of stretching of the membranes of the eye and stabilizes their size, which in general allows preserving and visual functions improving, in infancy – creating conditions for their formation.

Introduction: This is the case report of child who was diagnosed with LCA reported with complaints of large-amplitude, slow-frequency, roving nystagmus, frequent tendency to press on his eyes, enopthalmos, with completely normal ophthalmoscopic examination with normal appearing optic nerve and retina and has a non recordable ERG; considering this condition under the lines of Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhi treatment was structured to render effective visual rehabilitation which showed marked results. Methods: 4 years old male child who was diagnosed with lebers congenital amaurosis was brought by his parents to Eye OPD, GAMC, Bengaluru. The presentation of this case includes bibliographic review of the subject, presentation of a clinical case and description of the importance of Ayurvedic prespective of handling of these patients. Results: The child showed improvement in fixing for light and also nystagmus showed marked improvement and there were considerable behavioural changes observed. Discussion: It is important to deepen the environment of the disease to know the possible implications in Ayurvedic management, recognize the magnitude of visual disability that our patient presents for the establishment of the treatment plan and provide an integral care of excellence in an interdisciplinary way in favor of visual rehabilitation of our patients and also help to restore quality of life with no potential risks of side effects.

SummaryHigh-grade serous ovarian cancer lesions display a high degree of heterogeneity on CT scans. We have recently shown that regions with distinct imaging profiles can be accurately biopsied in vivo using a technique based on the fusion of CT and ultrasound scans.
