The huge development of the Internet, increasing number users, low cost Internet access access and cutting access and cutting access and cuttingaccess and cuttingaccess and cutting -edge connection technology equipment are forcing companies to adapt rapidly to e-commerce, and thus change the classic logistics process, including changes for logistics functions. Moreover, tourism companies feel this dynamic market and its flexibility, primarily due to the supply chain actors of touristic products – the tourism – who adapted themselves quickly to the new technological offers and already mastered web interfaces specialized in selecting anddelivering travel packages. Moreover, their feedback is often instantly. Barely arrived at the destination they point out their opinions, send picture in social networks, based on their own logistic type have developed themselves. It is clear that courism companies have to adapt tp e-logistic, since the operate beyond tourism products themselves, primarily with information products. A tour operator can develop destinations that can be managed in a stock that can be called informational stock. With this virtual copmonent touristic product can be changed quickly depending on the feedback that classic tour packages stock is required b their spesial cost management and their ability to change and adept faster to the market. E-logistics required to adapt the supply chain process to the informational chain that leaves the point of origing and reach the end point ato meet such customers requirements in this new medium of the Internet where the space or time notions have a new understanding and lose their normal dimension.

Despite key advances in healthcare informatics and management, little progress to address supply chain process-related problems has been made to date. Specifically, key healthcare supply chain processes include product recalls, monitoring of product supply shortages, expiration, and counterfeits. Implementing and executing these processes in a trusted, secure, efficient, globally accessible and traceable manner is challenging due to the fragmented nature of the healthcare supply chain, which is prone to systemic errors and redundant efforts that may compromise patient safety and impact health outcomes adversely. Blockchain, combined with the Internet of things (IoT), is an emerging technology that can offer a practical solution to these challenges. Accordingly, IoT blockchain offers a superior way to track and trace products via a peer-to-peer distributed, secure, and shared ledger of the blockchain network. This article highlights key challenges related to healthcare supply chains, and illustrates how IoT blockchain technologies can play a role in overcoming these challenges now and in the near future.

Increasing consumer awareness to provide halal assurance in the supply chain process happens in Muslim countries and non-Muslim countries. Kosher products become a symbol for food safety, quality assurance, and lifestyle choice due to the strict requirements, thereby reducing the risk of contamination of the disease. This led to the increase of demands of halal logistics services to implement the halal concepts in logistics processes. One of the obstacles faced by the companies is a lack of understanding of how the halal concept is applied in accordance with the role of each company in the supply chain. This paper illustrates the value co-creation model using several supply chains for Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), cosmetics, fashion, and pharmaceuticals to provide value for customers and all parties that guarantee halal concepts throughout the activities of the supply chains. Business model and the adaptation in operational planning for a transportation company as halal logistics services are also developed in this paper by including segregation process, packaging, cleaning process, halal labeling, and halal documentation to ensure standard halal assurance are distinguished from activities in the general logistics process.

PurposeProcess models specific to the supply chain domain are an important tool for the analysis of interorganizational interfaces and requirements of information technology (IT) systems supporting supply chain decision-making. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of supply chain process models for novice analysts in conveying domain semantics compared to alternative textual representations.Design/methodology/approachA laboratory experiment with graduate students as proxies for novice analysts was conducted. Participants were randomly assigned to either the diagram group, which worked with “thread diagrams” created from the modeling grammar “Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model”, or the text group, which worked with semantically equivalent textual representations. Domain understanding was measured using cognitively demanding information acquisition for two different domains.FindingsDiagram users were more accurate in identifying product-related information and organizing this information in a graph compared to those using the textual representation. The authors found considerable improvements in domain understanding, and using the diagrams was perceived as easy as using the texts.Originality/valueThe study's findings are unique in providing empirical evidence for supply chain process models being an effective representation for novice analysts. Such evidence is lacking in prior research because of the evaluation methods used, which are limited to scenario, case study and informed argument. This study adds the diagram user's perspective to that literature and provides a rigorous empirical evaluation by contrasting diagrammatic and textual representations.

This study aims to investigate the nature of the relationship between Big Data Analysis as a mediator in Process Orientation (PO) and Information Systems Programming (ISP) to supply chains processes in Saudi Arabian industrial organizations. A stratified random sample of 357 managers and employees working in 37 industrial companies in Saudi Arabia was tested. The study relied on the descriptive and analytical research methodology. The results indicated that there is a significant indirect effect of Big Data Analysis (Planning, Procuring, Manufacturing, Delivering) as the mediator on Process Orientation and Information Systems Programming (ISP) and (PO) to improve supply chain process as well as organizational effectiveness. The researcher made a number of recommendations for the Saudi Arabian manufacturing firms to develop analytical capabilities in managers in order to utilize big data analysis as a tool to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the organizational system. A wide spread awareness program about the benefits to adopt big data analysis and management information systems may be adopted to ensure an efficient supply chain system.

Objective This research is to examine the supply chain management process carried out by fishermen in searching for fish in the Brondong archipelago - Lamongan East Java fishing port. In this study, researchers used a qualitative case study method with miles and hubberman analysis techniques (data reduction, data display and data verification). In this research, researchers look directly at the supply chain management process carried out there. In this study, researchers also examined the process that is adapted to Islamic Sharia, so that the supply chain process that is there can be said as a halal activity and also thayyiban. In accordance with the research objective, which is to examine halal supply chain management, researchers found that the process carried out by the fishermen who were there in carrying out their activities could be said to be halal and also tayiban
