Under the restricted measures due to the global pandemic Covid-19, like all other services, financial services had difficulties in performing their financial activities. These difficulties are stronger at countries where financial services are denied for a long time. Financial services denial is an issue that has affected not only Albania but small Balkan countries as well. The reasons for this denial are many, but among them we can distinguish the lack of credit experience, as one of the common reasons to be excluded in these countries from the development of the financial sector. Currently, one of the reasons for the financial denial is the emergency created by Covid-19, where physical distancing and other measures taken by governments to restrict movement and services make financial service impossible. Thus, one of the most effective ways to perform financial services remotely is financial technology. Financial technology refers to the possibilities of financial innovation through technology that can result in new business models, applications, processes, or products with an effectiveness related to financial markets and institutions and the provision of financial services. This paper aims to present the challenges of the legal framework and regulatory institutions, to provide recommendations for its improvement, to enable the development of financial technology in the financial market in Albania. The paper address issues such as the Bank of Albania's consideration on the Directive (EU) 2015/2366 On Payment Services (PSD II). What benefits or challenges would its implementation bring? How is the financial industry projected after the implementation of PSD II? What are the biggest job challenges with payment institutions that have not been to the market before or that bring technology innovations? The paper addresses the issue of money laundering through online digital transactions as well.

The Job Demands-Resources model: A motivational analysis from Self-Determination Theory The Job Demands-Resources model: A motivational analysis from Self-Determination Theory This article concerns the doctoral dissertation of Van den Broeck (2010) which details employee motivation from two different recent perspectives: the job demands-resources model (JD-R model) and the self-determination theory (SDT). This article primarily highlights how the studies of this dissertation add to the JD-R model by relying on SDT. First, a distinction is made between two types of job demands: job hindrances and job challenges. Second, motivation is shown to represent the underlying mechanism of all relationships from job characteristics to burnout and work engagement, as detailed in the JD-R model. Finally, motivation is considered as a personal resource protecting employees from detrimental environmental influences and assisting them in making maximum use of beneficial job characteristics. In conclusion, this article highlights how the dissertation, based on a positive view on mankind, puts motivation to the fore in the JD-R model.

Purpose The purpose of this paper was to test a model that differentiated between two types of job demands in relation to basic psychological need satisfaction, work motivation, and, in turn, employee well-being. In particular, job challenges and job hindrances were hypothesized to relate to this motivational process in different ways. Design/methodology/approach Survey data from a sample of 160 entrepreneurs were used in path analyses to test the hypothesized relations. Findings The results showed that job challenges related positively to autonomy- and competence need satisfaction as well as to autonomous work motivation, while job hindrances related negatively to satisfaction of the needs for autonomy, competence and relatedness. Further, satisfaction of the need for autonomy, competence and relatedness related positively to autonomous work motivation. Finally, all of the three basic psychological needs as well as autonomous work motivation related directly and positively to vitality. Originality/value These results support a view on job challenges and job hindrances as distinct within the job demands-resources model by showing how they are differently related to basic psychological needs, autonomous work motivation and, subsequently, worker well-being.

The transition from pre-service teachers into novice teachers is a challenging process that has certain effects on teachers' lifelong careers. This study was conducted with the aim of exploring the job challenges that novice EFL high school teachers in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam faced in their first five years of teaching practice. This descriptive study adopted two research tools, including questionnaire and semi-structured interview. Thirty novice EFL high school teachers responded to the questionnaire and four of them were invited to participate in a semi-structured interview. The results showed that novice EFL high school teachers encountered job challenges at a medium frequency level. Specifically, based on the results of three One-Sample T Tests, it can be concluded that the novices were confronted with school context challenges at a high level, followed by the medium level of learners and classroom management challenges. Novices just dealt with lesson-related challenges at a low level. In addition, the findings from the semi-structured interviews presented several different job challenges including applying the teaching methods learned at university, lesson preparation, students’ negative attitudes towards learning English, students’ proficiency, workload, and pressure of achievement or credit-driven practice. Future studies on novice EFL teachers’ job challenges should be done on a larger scale and scope, and employ multiple research methods to collect the data.

The higher education sector plays a pivotal role in developing the skilled manpower for the balanced socio-economic growth of the country. Both public as well as private higher educational institutions contribute towards building the competence base of the society. In Rajasthan also, the higher education sector has seen a vast growth both in terms of investments and gross enrollment ratio. The employees are involved and are crucial for the accomplishment of the objectives. The study involved assessing the antecedents of job satisfaction level of the employees and identifying the most significant factors influencing the same. The findings suggest that the major factors affecting the satisfaction among the academic employees remain the job challenges, concern for the performance evaluation methods used, and the lack of role clarity in the institutions. The private sector employees have more concern for the salary and the job security as compared to the public sector employees.
