Over the last decades, many European Union countries have invested in strengthening participatory learning in citizenship education policy and practice. This survey study provides insight into how high school teachers in the Netherlands advance critical democratic citizenship and a democratic school culture in the context of mock elections. A quarter of the schools that organized mock elections in 2017 participated in the study. Analysis reveals that attention for critical, valuerelated teacher aims and teacher aims directed at strengthening a democratic school culture is still limited in mock election-related education. It also shows that half of the participating schools offer less than one hour of mock electionrelated educational activities, and that one-third of the teachers would like to offer additional educational activities.

Kata kunci: kinerja guru, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan, faktor psikologis, faktor situasional ______________________________________________________________DETERMINANT OF SMK TEACHERS’ PERFORMANCE IN THE FIELD OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EXPERTISEAbstract This study was aimed at: (1) describing the situational factors, psychological factors, and vocational high school teachers’ performance; and (2) revealing determination of situational factors (principal’s leadership, school culture, and compensation), and psychological factors (teachers’ ability, teachers’ commitment, teacher’s work motivation) to vocational high school teachers’ performance, (3) revealing causal effect of principal’s leadership, school culture, compensation, teachers’ ability, teachers’ commitment, and teacher’s work motivation to vocational high school teachers’ performance. This ex-post facto research was done at mechanical engineering program in technological and industrial vocational high schools at Yogyakarta Special District. The population was 187 teachers and samples of 155 teachers were determined using the Cohen formula and proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected through inventory, observations, and self assessment. Analysis of content validity was conducted by expert judgment and construct validity was conducted using factors analysis. Reliability analysis was conducted using Cronbach Alpha formula. The data were analyzed using descriptive methods, correlations, regression, and path analysis. The result of descriptive analysis showed that principal’s leadership, school culture, compensation, teachers’ ability, teachers’ commitment, teachers’ work motivation, and vocational high school teachers’ performance was in high category. Keywords: teachers’ performance, vocational high school, psychological factors, situational factors

AbstractThis study aimed to investigate teachers’ attitude on performance of principals of boys high -schools in terms of safe school indicators in Eslam Shahr city. This was a descriptive survey study. The population consisted of all high -school teachers in Eslam shahr (N = 434). In order to select a sample from related population, Cochran formula and simple random sampling were administered and 201 participants were selected as sample. A researcher-made questionnaire based on safe school indicators was used for collecting the necessary data. Its validity of tool was confirmed by experts in the field of safe sch ool. Then the draft sample of questionnaire was conducted on 30 participants, the collected data were analysed using the Cronbach Alpha formula and questionnaire reliability was determined to be 0.87. After conducting the final form of questionnaire, the collected data were analysed at two descriptive (median, mean, mode, standard deviation and skewness)and inferential (one-sample T-test) levels. The findings showed that at α = 0.05 level, from the perspective of teachers, the performance of principals is above average mean in boys high -schools in Eslam Shahr. Keywords: Performance evaluation, safe school indicators, health, providing information, monitoring, control.

Abstract Date Presented Accepted for AOTA INSPIRE 2021 but unable to be presented due to online event limitations. The purpose of this quantitative survey study is to examine elementary, middle, and high school teachers' sense of self-efficacy and attitudes toward mental health needs. The results indicate a statistically significant positive correlation between teachers' attitudes and self-efficacy toward effecting change for students with mental health needs. OTs are well suited to help teachers address mental health needs of students in their classroom. In view of recent changes in mathematics curricula emphasizing analytic geometry and applications and the fact that business machine or machine applications courses now teach many of the practical business calculations, it seems inevitable that in a unit on the mathematics of finance, the main objective ought to be the understanding of mathematical concepts such as the relation of the variables in formulas, the graphical representation, and the power of prediction associated with these concepts. Morris Kline (1973) has long been urging high school teachers to motivate students by using physical applications when introducing mathematical ideas. This method can also be helpful in teaching business applications. In a unit I have been teaching in a business mathematics course, I found that students gain much greater insight into routine calculations with business formulas when this work is viewed in the light of graphing concepts.
