Education is an important thing at this time, especially in college. One form of education is practical activities carried out to improve student experience and understanding. Things that affect student competence are the competence of laboratory assistants, practical facilities, practical worksheets  and theoretical understanding. This study was conducted to determine the magnitude of the influence of the competence of laboratory assistant practical facilities, practical jobsheets and theoretical understanding on the competence of students of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education, University of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. This study is an ex-post facto research using quantitative research methods whose data were obtained using questionnaires and tests distributed to students of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University who did practicum and then processed using the SPSS 25.0 application with simple linear regression analysis techniques and also regression double. The results of the study showed that there was a significant effect of the laboratory assistant competency variable, while the practical facilities variable, practical worksheet and theoretical understanding did not have a significant influence on the student competency variable. This research aims to describe the relationship between resilience and burnout facing COVID-19 pandemics. The sample was n = 831 lecturers and professors of a Mexican public university. This study is a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, explanatory, and ex post facto research using Structural Equations Modeling with latent variables under the partial least square’s method technique. We used the CD-RISC-25 and SBI questionnaires to measure resilience and burnout, respectively. Structural Equations Modeling (SEM–PLS) allowed the visualization of the exogenous variable (resilience) in endogenous variables (dimensions of SBI burnout: E9 guilt, E7 emotional exhaustion, E8 indolence, and E6 work illusion). To this day, there are very few previous studies that jointly analyze in Mexico the characteristics of resilience and burnout in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings show that resources availability has the strongest correlation with accomplishment in teaching, followed by cynicism and emotional exhaustion. These results have important professional implications.

Se analizó las características psicométricas de la escala BFI-S de 5 elementos y se determinó la eficiencia de la escala para obtener las características psicométricas deseadas. El estudio es de campo no experimental, prospectivo y aplicativo, con un diseño ex post facto transversal y correlacional. La muestra fue no probabilística de 648 adultos panameños que respondieron a la escala de personalidad BFI, como parte de un estudio internacional sobre el impacto psicológico y conductual de la crisis por COVID-19 llamado COVIDiSTRESS global survey de Lieberoth et al. El instrumento forma parte de un inventario que integra otras ocho escalas. Se empleó el método de extracción de componentes principales y el método de rotación utilizado fue el de normalización Varimax con Kariser. Los datos se analizaron con el estadístico Alpha de Cronbach, para calcular la confiabilidad de la prueba. Los resultados indican que el constructo no cuenta con validez ni confiabilidad para la muestra panameña.

A crise da mobilidade urbana está cada vez mais presente na rotina das grandes cidades brasileiras, e dentro desse tema, realizou-se uma pesquisa ex post facto, analisando a obra executada na Avenida das Torres (Curitiba - PR), cuja finalidade era melhorar o tráfego entre o centro da capital para o aeroporto (São Jose dos Pinhais). Para tal obra, foi construída uma ponte estaiada e uma trincheira ao longo da avenida, objetos de análise do presente estudo. Realizou-se uma comparação entre dois tipos de construção. Assim, norteou-se a seguinte questão: qual seria o melhor custo benefício para a Gestão Pública? Viadutos e trincheiras promovem maior fluidez ao tráfego motorizado em ambientes urbanos em comparação às pontes estaiadas que, apesar da mesma função, geralmente são utilizadas para superar grandes distâncias, como em rios, que necessitam espaço para passagem de embarcações; podendo também ser utilizadas em espaços mais curtos, elevando muito o seu custo. Ao final da coleta de dados, verificou-se a grande disparidade orçamentária entre as duas obras referenciadas, onde o viaduto Estaiado custou quase nove vezes mais que a trincheira da Rua Guabirotuba, confirmando a hipótese levantada.

A comunicação desempenha um papel importante no gerenciamento de projetos e nas relações humanas. Entretanto, muitos trabalhos acadêmicos têm destacado os problemas de comunicação com causa para insucesso de projetos. Diante desse contexto, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar as técnicas de comunicação em projetos de TI em uma instituição financeira brasileira. Para atingir esse objetivo, esta pesquisa fez uma revisão bibliográfica sobre as características e técnicas de comunicação. Esta pesquisa possui uma abordagem qualitativa, do tipo descritiva e utilizou uma estratégia ex-post-facto. Foram entrevistados 10 profissionais que atuam com projetos de TI, em uma instituição financeira de grande porte, no primeiro semestre de 2019. A pesquisa identificou as técnicas de comunicação mais usadas, as diversas motivações que levam à sua adoção, bem como seus pontos forte e fracos. Ao final, três técnicas de comunicação se destacaram: correio eletrônico, mensagens de texto e reuniões em grupo.

The problem in this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning styles and mathematics student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative with the ex-post facto correlation research method. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study were 112 class IV students, with a sample of 53 students. Hypothesis testing uses the Pearson product-moment correlation test. The results of the study of the two variables X and Y show a positive relationship with a correlation of 0.42 on moderate criteria, and it can be concluded that Ha is accepted, that there is a relantionship between learning style with the mathematics learning outcomes of the fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Sumberejo.

This study aims to analyze the project-based learning model on the soft skills of SMK students. The Project-Based Learning model requires students to have skills in solving a problem. The approach used in this research is quantitative using ex-post facto research, the type of correlation research. The sample used for the study was 170 students. The results of the study found a significant influence between the Project-Based Learning Model in the Network Infrastructure Administration Subject on students' communication skills, discipline, responsibility, creativity, and collaboration. Through the Project-Based Learning model, teachers are advised to often train students to complete tasks that can improve students' soft skills in other subjects.

El presente trabajo de investigación, se formuló con el propósito de determinar el efecto de los factores socioeconómicos y de la modalidad de ingreso en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la facultad de Economía, evaluada en dos cohortes la del 2005 y la del 2008, teniendo en consideración que la formación de nuestros estudiantes, no solo se da como resultado de lo que acontece en las aulas, sino que también influyen otros factores relacionados a los aspectos socioeconómicos, por lo que es de primordial importancia conocer el perfil de nuestros ingresantes y contrastarlo con el perfil que se requiere. Para el efecto se utilizó un diseño ex post facto, tomando información de los expedientes académicos de los estudiantes seleccionados en la muestra proporcionada por la Oficina de Registros Académicos de la Facultad y de los registros de sus respectivas fichas socioeconómicas. Se hizo dos regresiones, una para el rendimiento académico en nota en el primer semestre de estudio, y la otra con el promedio ponderado del último semestre cursado en la fecha de corte del análisis, encontrando diferentes resultados en cada caso. Se encontró que la variable modalidad de ingreso no influye en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la facultad de Economía. Cuando los estudiantes están en la etapa de adaptación a la vida universitaria, las variables que influyen en su rendimiento académico son: la edad de ingreso y el turno de estudios. Una vez superada esta etapa de adaptación, surgen otras variables para explicar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la facultad de Economía, ellas son: el tipo de colegio donde cursaron los estudios secundarios y el lugar de origen.

There is evidence on the need to include physical exercise as a treatment for diseases. A large number of professionals are involved in this, but it is not known how physical exercise is prescribed and which professionals are involved. This research has two objectives: (a) to find out the current practices in Spain regarding the prescription of physical exercise in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and (b) to analyse the perception that different health and physical activity professionals have of their knowledge to prescribe of physical exercise in the treatment of CKD. This is an empirical research with an ex post facto retrospective analysis of the information in a descriptive and correlational way. A total of 692 health and sports professionals participated. A questionnaire validated by a committee of experts was administered. Descriptive analyses were carried out and the differences in the study variables were analysed using Chi-square tests and one-factor Analysis of Variance. From the results obtained, we conclude there is a need to develop specific training programmes in the field of physical exercise for health professionals, as well as the establishment of multiprofessional teams for the prescription of physical exercise in CKD treatment, including physical exercise professionals (Cafyde).
