Oil has become the object of global exploits and fierce competition among the major world powers as it is a key strategic non-renewable resource. Transnational petroleum investment is therefore an important mechanism available to countries and international corporations to control oil resources even though there are numerous inherent uncertainties and risks. A new risk assessment index system is proposed in this paper based on use of the Delphi expert scoring system and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation that aims to minimize the potential risks inherent to multinational petroleum investment. This approach encapsulates political, legal, socioeconomic, and infrastructural factors to develop a technical method that can be used for transnational petroleum investment risk assessment. An evaluation of oil investment risk within a case study area is also presented; results provide reference data that can be applied by national and international oil companies to mitigate risks of transnational oil investment.

The snow disaster is one of the main disasters in prairie pastoral areas of China. Once the snow disaster occurs, it will cause the death of a large amount of livestock due to the starvation and freezing weather. Therefore, it is especially important to forecast the risk of the snow disaster scientifically and reasonably. This paper established the snow disaster risk assessment index system firstly, and then established the snow disaster risk assessment model based on multi-layer fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. Finally, the massive experiment monitors and the contrast confirmation with the historical case data, showed that this model is practical and feasible, which conducted a useful attempt to further improve snow disaster risk assessment ability in pastoral areas.

The risk factors of continuous incremental launching bridge during construction stage are specialized. The risk in incremental launching stage is analyzed and identified. A risk assessment index system is built. A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is developed. The results obtained from the risk assessment model verifies the validity and practicality of the developed method by the combination of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy mathematics theory. Moderate risk assessment results are developed to provide references for incremental launching construction method.

This paper analyzes the development evolution of urban ecosystem health of old industrial relocated area on the base of the urban ecosystem health theories and methods. Taking Tie Xi District in Shenyang city as an example, the paper discusses the assessment index system of the urban ecosystem health of old industrial relocated area. Then the paper employs Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine the index weights and takes use of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method to study the case.

According to the characteristics of subway construction in Tianjin, a risk assessment indicator system has been established in subway construction. On the basis of traditional AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), the introduction of the concept of triangular fuzzy numbers evaluates the weight of risk factors in a more accurate and objective way. Adopting a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation mathematical model, by constructing membership matrix, the metro construction is not difficult to quantify the risk factors with the scientific evaluation methods. It can be proved that fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method used in subway construction process is a scientific, effective evaluation method.
