Through the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake or the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake, much larger earthquakes are considered recently in the seismic designs of large steel-frame structures. When structures are exposed by these severe ground motions, partial destructions in the structures, such as damage or fracture of members could happen. Especially, the low cycle fatigue of steel structures because of the repeated load from these long-term ground motions is a serious problem. However, current seismic performance evaluation method based on nonlinear dynamic analysis considers only elastic and plastic deformation of each member, excluding the fracture of members. If this member fracture happens during earthquakes, there is considered to be many effects on the seismic performance, like the changes of the vibration property, the dynamic response and the energy absorbance capacity of structures. Therefore, the fracture of members is preferably taken into account in the seismic performance evaluation for these large earthquakes. This paper proposes the dynamic analysis method for steel-frame structures which can express the member fracture. Dynamic analyses considering and not considering member fracture under the repeated loads supposing the long-term earthquake are conducted to the FEM model of full-scale structure. By comparing each result, the effects of considering member fracture to the seismic performance such as the dynamic response and the energy absorbance capacity are discussed.

Abstract. China's urban illegal buildings are emerging in an endless stream with a large number. There is a wide demand for urban illegal buildings monitoring in urban management departments, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other regions where urban management is facing increasingly serious problems of illegal buildings. It is urgent to solve the common problem of "urban disease" caused by urban illegal buildings, and a new automatic monitoring method that can reduce the cost of urban management is urgently needed. This kind of automated monitoring method of illegal buildings has a wide market demand in Urban Management and Law Enforcement and the Ministry of Land and Resources. Existing technologies cannot realize long-term, autonomous, rapid and intelligent dynamic real-time monitoring of urban illegal buildings, which leads to the problem that illegal buildings’ behaviors cannot be stopped in time. There is a possibility to solve these problems using the ubiquitous network of base stations in cities to monitor illegal buildings.This paper proposes a dynamic monitoring method of illegal buildings using spatiotemporal big data based on urban high lying zones. Through the Spatiotemporal sensor network technology, the tilt-type stereo camera is set up at the high lying zones around the survey area. According to the real-time ambient temperature and humidity numerical data fed back by the temperature and humidity sensor, the tilt-type stereo camera uses intelligent time-lapse photogrammetry technology to obtain multiple stereo pairs. The tilted remote sensor transmits the multiple stereo pairs to the urban dynamic analysis service network using wireless transmission. The urban dynamic analysis service network will complete a series of analysis and processing operations without any human intervention, and then transmit the results of the analysis to the early-warning terminal successively through the base station, WIFI and other wireless transmission methods. Finally, the illegal building data is uploaded to the terminal. That is to say, the urban dynamic analysis service network can realize the intelligent, automatic analysis and processing of spatial analysis server and the operation of calling all database data and storing data.The method proposed in this paper uses the high lying zones around the survey area to expand the monitoring range, improve the accuracy of monitoring data, realize long-term real-time monitoring, and fully utilize the characteristics of Spatiotemporal sensing network technology intelligent, autonomous, wireless transmission, etc., significantly reducing labor. It greatly shortens the process from the emergence to the discovery of illegal buildings in cities. The workload of monitoring has improved the efficiency of dynamic monitoring and warehousing of illegal buildings data in cities.

This article addresses a long-term thermal dynamic analysis problem for aircraft fuel tank and the related solution. The new method combines the thermal node network analysis and the finite element numerical calculation based on the OpenFOAM software. Compared to the thermal node network analysis algorithm, the computational precision is significantly improved by numerical calculation on more delicate grid in the solid region. On the other hand, compared to conventional finite element numerical calculation method, the computational efficiency is significantly improved since the liquid level at every moment is determined by the volume integral of every grid along the gravity direction instead of volume of fluid method on the Fluent software and two thermal nodes are used to represent the air and the fuel, respectively, and solve the two-phase heat transfer with the fuel tank by the aid of grid computation of the heat exchange area. Taken a typical fuel tank heated by aerodynamic heat as an example, the results comparing to the volume of fluid calculation by Fluent software show that the computation time is reduced to 10.3%, while the max deviation of the tank wall temperature is kept within 6.5%, which meets the requirements of engineering calculation precision.

AbstractThere are two main players in the Champagne wine industry; grape growers and Champagne houses. The former grow grapes and either produce their own Champagne wine or sell their fruit to Champagne houses. The latter only produce Champagne wine and do not grow grapes. However, Champagne houses invest heavily in advertisements to establish and maintain their brand's reputation. The grape market is characterized by the dominance of long-term supply contracts over spot contracts. Drawing on various theoretical models we suggest that the Champagne houses' advertising strategy and its associated positive externalities (spillover effects) on grape growers is a way of stabilizing vertical relations, i.e., keeping grape growers from producing Champagne wine themselves and thus maintaining a certain degree of monopoly power.
