This development research aimed to develop valid and practical PISA-like math tasks on algebra using Arabic contexts that potentially affect mathematical literacy skills. This research was comprised of two stages, preliminary and formative evaluations. This research employed the lesson study learning community (LSLC) system in the development and implementation process and involved grade eight students aged 13-15 years old in Junior High School 19 Palembang. Data collection techniques were walkthrough, observations, and interviews, while the analysis techniques were tests. This research produced six units and nine items of PISA-like-math problems with the content characteristics using Algebra topic, Arabic personal and social contexts, levels 2, 3, 5 and 6 following the 2018 PISA framework, process competencies at mathematical literacy skills, standard language application, applicability for students, and interpret by students. To conclude, the developed PISA-like math tasks were valid, provided practicality, and potentially affected on mathematical literacy skills, and learning to confront Arabic culture in South Sumatera.

AbstrakPada zaman sekarang, pembelajaran semakin menigkat. Begitu pula pada pelajaran matematika. Siswa lebih dituntut untuk bukan hanya sekadar mampu berhitung saja, tapi mampu mengaplikasikannya dalam memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemapuan literasi matematis siswa SMP kelas VIII di Kp. Panawuan Rt.02/Rw.10. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah deskriftif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 4 orang yang diambil secara acak. Berdasarkan hasill penelitian, meskipun soal yang diberikan adalah soal-soal standar atau rutin dan tergolong mudah karena mengambil level 1 dan 2. Seluruh subjek penelitiannya merasa kewalahan dan kesulitan dalam menafsirkan dan mengaplikasikan rumus yang sudah mereka ketahui dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang diberikan. Simpulan yang dapat diambil adalah kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam penelitian ini masih terbilang rendah karena siswa masih merasa kesulitan dalam menghadapi soal PISA dengan level 1 dan 2. AbstractIn this day and age, learning is increasing. Likewise in math lessons. Students are more required to not only be able to count, but also be able to apply it in solving problems in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the mathematical literacy skills of the VIII grade junior high school students at Kp. Panawuan Rt.02 / Rw. 10. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 4 people who were taken randomly. Based on the research results, although the questions given are standard or routine and are relatively easy because they take levels 1 and 2. All research subjects feel overwhelmed and have difficulty in interpreting and applying the formulas they already know in solving the problems given. The conclusion that can be drawn is that students' mathematical literacy skills in this study are still low because students still find it difficult to face PISA questions with levels 1 and 2.

AbstractTo the effect this research is subject to see the improvement of students' mathematical literacy by using the Metacognitive Guidance (MG) approach, especially the mathematical literacy ability of level 3 and level 4 students. The design of this research is non-equivalent control group design. The experimental class is given by using the Metacognitive Guidance (MG) approach and the control class given the learning with the conventional approach. The population in this study is all students of class VII of one of the Junior High School in Cianjur. The samples were chosen as many as 2 classes from eight existing classes with purposive sampling technique. To obtain the result of research data using instrument in the form of mathematical literacy level 3 and level 4, and student questionnaire. Data processing increased the ability of mathematical literacy using mann-witney test. Based analisi data, �the results showed that the improvement of students 'mathematical literacy skills using the Metacognitive Guidance (MG) approach was better than the improvement of students' mathematical literacy skills using conventional approach, the improvement was in the medium category. The questionnaire results show that students' attitude toward mathematics learning using Metacognitive Guidance (MG) approach is positive.Keywords: Metacognitive Guidance Approach, Mathematical Literacy

AbstrakMemiliki kemampuan literasi matematis yang baik diharapkan dapat membantu siswa memecahkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan matematika. Fokus keterampilan literasi matematika pada siswa adalah kemampuan untuk menganalisis, membenarkan, dan mengkomunikasikan ide secara efektif, merumuskan, memecahkan dan menafsirkan masalah matematika dalam berbagai bentuk dan situasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah  mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa berbasis masalah yang valid dan praktis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development), yang terdiri dari tahap-tahap studi literatur, studi, observasi, wawancara, pengembangan lembar kerja siswa. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil ujicoba dalam skala kecil dan skala besar menunjukan angka 70,66% dan 75,08%, ini berarti LKS berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi matematika dapat digunakan dan didistribusikan sebagai bahan pembelajaran dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk SMP. Development Problem Based Student Worksheet with Heuristic Strategy to Improve Mathematics Literacy SkillAbstractHaving good mathematical literacy skills is expected to help students solve problems related to mathematics. The focus of mathematics literacy skills on students is the ability to analyze, justify, and communicate ideas effectively, formulate, solve and interpret mathematical problems in various forms and situations The purpose of this study was to determine the development process based problems student worksheet to improve mathematical literacy skill valid and practical problems in the system linear equations of two variables material. The type of research was the development of research (Research and Development), which consists of stages are literature, study, observation, interviews, development of student worksheets. After Revised, the student worksheets were evaluated by a field test in a small and large scale. The scale from both are 70,66% and 75,08 % respectively. It is concluded that problem based student worksheet to improve mathematical literacy skill can be used and distributed as a learning material in mathematics learning for junior high school.
