The present study was conducted in the fish diseases laboratory of College of Veterinary Medicine-University of Baghdad to investigate the effect of magnetized treated water on common carp Cyprinus carpio infected with Aeromonas hydrophila.Total of 80 specimens of common carp Cyprinus carpio were used ranges between 142-156 gm in weight and between 22-27cm in length. Fish were distributed randomly with ten fish to every aquarium upon four. First treatment considered control treatment free of magnetized water while the second treatment contained magnetized treated water with 500 gauss, third treatment contained magnetized treated water with1000 gauss, forth treatment contained magnetized treated water with1500 gauss with two replicates for each treatment through the period of experiment attain four weeks. The experiment represented by induce the infection by intramuscular injection of the bacteria in the site of left behind the front edge of the dorsal fin with dose of 107 cfu/100 gm of fish body weight. Blood picture were examined weekly and description of the clinical and macroscopic signs and survival rate. Statistical analysis results show presence of significant differences p≤0.01 of blood picture results of magnetized treated water treatment compared with control, experimental results indicate to presence of improvement of clinical and macroscopically signs and increase of survival rate of magnetized treated water compared with control.

A total of 80 specimens of common carp Cyprinus carpio were used in present study ranges between 142-156 g with 150 g in average body weight, and between 22-27cm with 25cm in average body length to investigate the effect of magnetized water in blood pictures of fish as well as Aeromonas hydrophila pathogenic bacteria. Fish were randomly distributed using aquarium with dimension 70X40X40 cm upon four treatments, with two replicates for each treatment using magnetized water with different intensity ( 500 , 1000 , 1500 gauss) , while the control treatment free of magnetized water through the period of four weeks . Results shows that the bacteria count were decreased in such magnetized water in comparison with control treatment . The results of statistical analysis show significant differences ( P≤0.01) between all treatments . Results of blood picture test show significant differences ( P≤0.01) between test ,the three treatments containing magnetized water compared with control treatment .It can be conclude that the possibility of using magnetized water in prevention and control of some bacterial diseases in common carp.

The present study was conducted to determine the effect of magnetized water on common carp Cyprinus carpio rearing in different salinity concentrations. The experiment was divided into four treatments using magnetized with 1500 gauss for each treatment,  first as control with tap water, second treatment using water with 2 mg/l, third and fourth treatments with 3 and 4 mg/l respectively for 8 weeks. Results of the experiment indicated some variations between treatments as it seen sharp significant decrease (P≤0.05) in pH, dissolved O2 proportional with increasing salinity concentration but just remain within the accepted values for breeding common carp fish, meanwhile there are no significant differences  in blood picture except in PCV which record significant decrease (P≤0.05) in fourth treatment. In contrast, blood ions noticed to record significant increase (P≤0.05) related proportionally with increasing salinity concentration. The survival ratio for is 100%. This study is confirmed that magnetized water could improve breeding and growth of common carp in the rivers or in water at mid concentrated salinity relatively for increasing magnetized with the time.

Three intestinal bacteria isolates (namely C1, C2, and C3) from common carp (Cyprinus carpio) were isolated and identified as new potential probiotics. This research aimed to study the effect of three isolates potential probiotics addition on growth performance, survival rate and feed efficiency of common carp. Completely randomized design was assigned to fourth diet treatments with five replicates. As a control, we used the feed without any supplemention of potential probiotic. The result showed that the addition of potential probiotic bacteria (C1, C2, and C3) gave significant effect on daily growth rate, survival rate and feed efficiency and could be used in aquaculture industry to reduce feeding cost.

This research aims to investigate the influence of Ketapang (Terminalia catappa) bark extract (KBE) on the survival rate and liver histopathology of Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) which was Infected by Aeromonas hydrophilia. Experimental design with Completely Randomized Design (CRD). Obtained data were analyzed by using Analysis of Varian (ANOVA) and further Least Significant Differed (LSD) analysis. The main parameters in this research are the damage level of Common carp liver based on scoring value and survival rates. Based on the result from scoring data, it was shown that there is altered-histology on Common carp fish liver. The damages found were congestion, melanomacrofag, and necrosis. In average, treatment A (730 ppm) had the highest damage average while treatment C (770 ppm) had the lowest damage average value. The final result shows that the bigger the dose, the lower the damage. In contrast, the survival rates would decrease with the higher dose of KBE. It can be concluded that KBE able to reduce the liver alteration however in some extend it will cause the mortality. Keywords : common carp, histopathology, ketapang, liver, survival rate.
