Español.  Se dan a conocer nuevas localizaciones y datos corológicos para 98 especies (61 Rhodophyta, 22 Ochrophyta, 15 Chlorophyta) de algas bentónicas marinas recolectadas en el intermareal y submareal de más de 80 localidades de las costas atlánticas y cantábricas de la Península Ibérica. Polysiphonia devoniensis, P. fibrata y Zonaria tournefortii son novedad para Portugal y 5 especies (Bonnemaisonia hamifera, Calosiphonia vermicularis, P. devoniensis, Hincksia intermedia y Derbesia marina stadium Halicystis ovalis) son nuevas citas para Galicia. Paralelamente, se aportan 101 primeras citas provinciales (2 Guipúzcoa, 1 Vizcaya, 8 Cantabria, 5 Asturias, 7 Lugo, 1 A Coruña, 8 Pontevedra, 1 Beira litoral, 15 Estremadura, 20 Alentejo, 25 Algarve y 8 Cádiz) y, además, se dan a conocer 108 segundas citas provinciales. Aunque la flora bentónica marina del Atlántico Peninsular ha sido objeto de numerosos estudios, estos nuevos hallazgos corológicos ponen en evidencia que todavía son necesarios más estudios florísticos en estas costas.English.  In this work, we provide new records and geographical distribution data for 98 seaweeds (61 Rhodophyta, 22 Ochrophyta, 15 Chlorophyta) inhabiting more than 80 sites (intertidal and subtidal) of the Atlantic Iberian Peninsula. Polysiphonia devoniensis, P. fibrata y Zonaria tournefortii are new records for Portugal and 5 species (Bonnemaisonia hamifera, Calosiphonia vermicularis, P. devoniensis, Hincksia intermedia and Derbesia marina stadium Halicystis ovalis) are new records for Galicia. Moreover, 101 new records are reported for the first time in the studied provinces (2 Guipúzcoa, 1 Vizcaya, 8 Cantabria, 5 Asturias, 7 Lugo, 1 A Coruña, 8 Pontevedra, 1 Beira litoral, 15 Estremadura, 20 Alentejo, 25 Algarve y 8 Cádiz) and 108 for the second time. Although the Atlantic marine algae of the Iberian Peninsula are well studied, these new findings show that further floristic studies are necessary to complete our knowledge of the natural heritage of this region.

We report the first Colombian record of the Blind Snake Anomalepis mexicanus Jan, 1860, based on a single specimen from Cantagallo municipality, department of Bolívar. Our new record fills a large gap and extends this species’ geographical distribution by approximately 630 km in a straight line east-southeast from its nearest previously known Panamanian locality, and approximately 1295 km in a straight-line north-northeast from its nearest previously known Peruvian locality.

The main purpose of our paper is to document genus Hydropsyche (Trichoptera: Hydropsychidae) in northwestern Algeria and to provide the larval descriptions of the species set. Larvae, pupae, and imagines were collected from 14 sampling sites over a five-year period (2014–2019). Eight Hydropsyche species have been identified, with Hydropsyche siltalai being a new record for Algeria and North Africa, and Hydropsyche pellucidula a new record for Algeria. A comparison of our checklist with those of the Moroccan Rif and Europe is provided, as well as the geographical distribution of each species. This Algerian Hydropsyche species revision provides precise and reliable taxonomic characters for distinguishing larvae of the species, and a taxonomic key is proposed for their identification. In addition, information regarding their distribution is included.

This chapter describes the linguistic situation in those parts of the Iberian peninsula where there are no or very few inscriptions written in the indigenous languages. Our knowledge is based on the onomastic evidence (place names, deity names, and personal names) that has come down to us, mainly through the Latin epigraphy of late republican and imperial times. The characteristics of each category of names are discussed, pointing out their potential strengths and limitations as a source for knowledge of the linguistic situation, as well as the coincidences and differences that they sometimes reflect, in order to define onomastic areas. Finally, the different linguistic regions that can be observed in the peninsula are presented by means of analysing the geographical distribution, linguistic attribution, and other characteristics of the indigenous onomastic evidence.

Abstract: This work presents a floristic survey of the subfamilies Bombacoideae, Byttnerioideae, Grewioideae and Helicterioideae (Malvaceae s.l.) in the Raso da Catarina Ecoregion (RCE), Bahia, Brazil. The samples analyzed were collected from September 2013 to May 2015. The analyses were supplemented with dried collections kept in the herbaria: ALCB, HRB, HUEFS, HUNEB, HST, IPA, PEUFR, R and RB. The identifications were based mainly on specialized bibliographies, protologues, types and herbaria collections. Ten genera and 22 species of the subfamilies were recorded, nine endemic to Brazil. Waltheria L. was the most representative genus with five species, followed by Ceiba Mill. and Melochia L. with three species each, Helicteres L., Luehea Willd., Pachira Aubl. and Pseudobombax Dugand presented two species each and other genera were represented by one species each. Among the species recorded, Luehea candicans Mart. represents a new record for the Caatinga biome. The species most commonly found in the study area were Helicteres velutina K.Schum., Melochia tomentosa L., Waltheria brachypetala Turcz., W. indica L. and W. rotundifolia Schrank. The taxonomic treatment includes identification key, descriptions, illustrations, photos, geographical distribution, reproductive phenology and comments about all studied species. The genus Morinda L. (Rubiaceae) has been revised for its species diversity in the flora of Bangladesh. The genus is represented by five species, viz., M. angustifolia Roxb., M. citrifolia L., M. persicaefolia Ham., M. pubescens Smith and M. umbellata L. Of these, M. pubescens Smith is a new record for Bangladesh. A key to the species with vernacular names, descriptions, illustrations, photographs, ecology, uses, geographical distribution and status of occurrence in the flora is provided. Lepidocyrtus lusitanicus is one of the species with greater color pattern variability within the genus Lepidocyrtus. Four subspecies have been described in relation to its body color variation. The study of various populations of Lepidocyrtus from the Iberian Peninsula has allowed me to describe the new chromatic form L. lusitanicus form A, as well as the new species L. bilobatus, which is very closely related to L. lusitanicus, and also shows high color pattern variability. The high similarity among species L. lusitanicus, L. selvaticus and L. bilobatus sp. nov., the high color pattern variability of their populations, the overlapping geographical distribution of many studied populations, and the presence of three dorsal macrochaetae between trichobothria m2 and a5 of the second abdominal tergum, led me to define the group Lepidocyrtus lusitanicus species-complex. This group included the three abovementioned species with all of their color forms.

Additional records of Elasmopus vachoni Mateus and Mateus, 1966 together with description of its its poorly-known mouthparts is provided, based on material from Tarifa Island (southern Spain). The known geographical distribution of this species extends from the Gulf of Guinea to the northern part of the Iberian Peninsula, all along its Atlantic and Mediterranean coast, also extending to Canary and Azores Archipelagos. Additionally, an identification key of Elasmopus species mentioned in European waters (ERMS area) is also given.
