This study investigated the factor structure of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire when used by individuals with psychiatric disabilities who are participating in vocational rehabilitation. The sample consisted of 87 respondents recruited from Columbus, Ohio, in 1996 who worked in noncompetitive employment. Factor analyses with varimax rotation conducted on the short-form of the questionnaire indicated three factors, an intrinsic factor and an extrinsic factor (as proposed by the Herzberg two-factor theory) as well as another pertaining to satisfaction derived from participating in vocational rehabilitation.

The factor structure of the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire short form for nonsupervisory restaurant employees was explored in questions among 2000 employees of three full-service restaurant chains operating in midwestern United States. A total of 2000 surveys were distributed to hourly employees of the three chains. From the mailing, 924 surveys were returned and found useable, a 46.2% response rate. Principal factors analysis identified a four-factor structure for the employees, in contrast to the original two-factor structure, but as in other studies the structure was multifactorial.

A factor analysis of responses from 136 Georgia public school superintendents to the short form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, a 20-item scale, yielded a single factor, General Satisfaction, accounting for 43.5% of the variance. For this population Intrinsic Satisfaction and Extrinsic Satisfaction were correlated .74 and were apparently not distinctive factors.

BACKGROUND: Parkinson’s disease (PD) caregivers, particularly in Latin America, may experience high levels of affiliate stigma due to their association with a person having a disability. The most common measure used of this construct in the literature, the Affiliate Stigma Scale, was validated using non-standard and questionable methods. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Affiliate Stigma Scale with PD caregivers in Mexico using more widely accepted psychometric approaches including confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses (confirmatory factor analyses (CFAs) and exploratory factor analyses (EFAs)). METHODS: A sample of 148 PD caregivers from Mexico completed this measure, as well as indices of caregiver burden and anxiety. RESULTS: Initial CFAs revealed that the data did not fit either the originally proposed one-factor or three-factor structures. An EFA was then conducted which was unable to discern any factor structure. Upon instituting a stepwise removal alpha-if-item-deleted process, a 5-item Affiliate Stigma Scale Spanish Short Form was retained with an adequate Cronbach’s alpha, good convergent validity, and a Short Form CFA generally indicating adequate fit. CONCLUSIONS: The new Spanish Affiliate Stigma Scale Short Form holds promise for more appropriately measuring affiliate stigma likely in general but particularly in Spanish and among PD caregivers. The Short Form can assist not only in assessing levels of caregiver affiliate stigma, but in creating novel interventions to help support caregivers and decrease stigma.

The research aims to investigate the relationship between organizational Health and Job satisfaction beside and examine how a job satisfaction is affected by the state of health in an organization. The population includes (80) employees who work in different areas of Baghdad Mayoralty. Questionnaire form was used to collect a required data from sample of research. This questionnaire consists of three parts, First part concern with individual data while the second used to measure the level of health in a survey organization depending on (Karaguzel, 2012) characteristics' that involve (21) statements and the last part measured the degree of Job satisfaction based on (Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire-short form) which contain (20) phrases. The questionnaire upon distributed to respondents was translated to Arabic language. So, Acronbach's test using SPSS program for social science to determine the reliability of this instrument that it indicated to the respective value. As well as the statistical results were confirmed the research hypothesizes that refer to strong and significantly as such influence between organizational health and job satisfaction.

Analysis of data from 255 U.S. pharmacists provides support for the consistency and validity of this short-form conservatism scale. The scale returned a coefficient alpha of 0.82, and principal components analysis yielded a strong general conservatism factor. Varimax rotation produced five factors consistent with the factor structure of the original Conservatism Scale.
