This paper presents the status, problems and future direction of tourism inIfugao, along with the complexities that result from the dichotomy of doing tourism and conservation at the same time. Tourism in Ifugao has the rice terraces and/or culture as its resource base. While there are five rice terraces cluster whichare cited as World Heritage sites, tourism is unevenly spread in the province. Itis concentrated in the municipality of Banaue and barely starting in the otherHeritage areas. Thus the benefits of tourism are not yet felt in the other Heritagesites. A way forward is to make the tourism master plan that will direct tourismin Ifugao towards sustainable tourism development. This paper concludes thattourism could be a means to maintain tourism and to conserve the culture. Keywords: Ifugao tourism, conservation, sustainable tourism development, descriptivedesign, Philippines

Finally, for prioritization, systems establish a pairwise comparison between approaches formulated based on research sub-criteria. Besides, the research results showed that "creating jobs" and "increasing property prices" are the most important among the encouraging and deterrent forces. Among the strategies presented, strategy (A-1) with a coefficient of 0/0823 emphasizes optimal and purposeful use of increasing motivation travel among people to take advantage of tourist attractions and products to create employment and income for the province's people suggested as the best strategy.

South Africa became a signatory to and ratified the World Heritage Convention, 1972 (WHC) in 1997. It thereby voluntarily agreed to identify and conserve world heritage areas of universal value for the benefit of mankind. This article presents a case study of the Vredefort Dome, one of South Africa's World Heritage Sites (WHS) and specifically its governance strategies to ensure proper and sustainable governance. Firstly, the issue of fragmentation of the environmental governance regime applicable to WHS is discussed, and in doing so, refers to the various legislative and common law responsibilities and institutional structures related to environmental governance of WHS. Secondly, it briefly discusses the concept of good governance and the concept of cooperative governance as a sub-component of good governance. Finally it comprehensively proposes various strategies to ameliorate the current fragmented and unsustainable environmental governance effort relating to WHS.
