<strong>Bioaccumulation of Mercury (Hg) in Seagrass <em>Enhalus acoroides</em> and Mangrove <em>Rhizophora apiculata</em> in Pari Island, Seribu Islands.  </strong>Heavy metal pollution, especially Hg metal in Jakarta Bay, is feared to have a negative impact on the quality of the waters around the Jakarta Bay waters, one of which is Pari Island in the Thousand Islands. Seagrass and mangroves plants distributed surrounding Pari Island can be used as indicators of heavy metal pollution. The value of bioaccumulation and translocation of Hg metal factors will provide an overview of the ability of plants to accumulate heavy metals in their surroundings. This study aims to determine the bioaccumulation and translocation of the heavy metal Hg factor in <em>Enhalus acoroides</em> seagrass and <em>Rhizophora apiculata</em> mangroves on Pari Island, Seribu Islands. Seagrass and mangrove samples were taken at five sampling points through purposive sampling. The bioaccumulation value was calculated using the ratio of the metal concentrations in each part of the plant body and sediment. Meanwhile, the translocation factor value was calculated by the ratio of Hg concentration in each part of the plant body (roots/rhizomes, stems, and leaves). The results of this study indicate that the bioaccumulation value in seagrass is infinite (bioaccumulation factor, BAF=∞) and in mangroves is 1.57 (BAF&gt;1). The highest <em>translocation factor</em> value in seagrass leaves is 3.86 (translocation factor, TF) &gt;1) and in mangrove leaves is 2.84 (TF&gt;1). This study shows that seagrass and mangrove plants are classified as good bio accumulator and hyperaccumulator plants and accumulate heavy metals, especially Hg in the upper part of their bodies, namely leaves

The marking of colonial narratives mapped as histories onto Canada are reinforced on almost every boat, train, or rail tour in Canada. In Freedom Tours (2017) for LandMarks2017/Répéres2017, by artists Cheryl L’Hirondelle and Camille Turner the artists disrupted these entrenched histories hosting two sailings with tour narration. Thes narrated tours featured narratives that stemmed from Cree worldview and Caribbean diasporic perspectives. In L’Hirondelle and Turner’s work they built an architecture of songs unsung and stories untold in a temporal space- a boat tour in the waters in and around the Thousand Islands National Park. In this text I revisit the process of working with these artists to reveal the ways in which their work while being joyous also signaled the ways in which colonial histories drown out Indigenous, Black and People of Colour narratives in Canada. The historic settler alteration of waterways and borders within the Thousand Islands National Park has meant that some islands, previously visited by Indigenous people to harvest maple sap, are no longer above water. In this paper I want to be that island resurfacing sweet syrup, rising in these unstable waters to offer truths to Canada’s colonial narrative.

Abstract Sebira is a small island located at the northernmost of the Thousand Islands, Indonesia. The Electricity supply at the island uses an isolated network system for its territory. This study aims to model a system of electrical energy supply in Sebira Island. We explore literature studies related to the electricity supply system to support our model to be more representative. We then describe the system with a Causal Loop Diagram and a Stock Flow Diagram. The current electricity supply comes from solar power plants 400 kWp and three units diesel power plants with capacities of 125 kVA (2 units) and 250 kVA (1 unit). In this model, we consider the variables of population growth, initial investment, electricity shortages, fuel costs, profits, and margins. Furthermore, we create two scenarios in the simulation, with and without additional wave energy. The results show that in a sufficiently long period, the second scenario (with extra wave energy) is more profitable for the electricity supply in Sebira Island; however, it requires more initial investment than the first scenario.

This study aims to determine about 1000 HPK Parenting Promotion Program In Kepulauan Seribu 2018-2020: Reviewed from the Theory of Hafied Cangara Communication Strategy. This type of research is descriptive research using qualitative methods. Collecting data by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The communication strategy carried out by the Thousand Islands PPAPP Sub-Department refers to Hafied Cangara's theory, where in this case the communication strategy in the KIE promotion program for the Care of 1000 HPK is carried out through the first stage and then continues with planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting. The results showed that the communication strategy carried out in the 1000 HPK KIE Promotion Program was carried out through a 1000 HPK parenting training program directly face to face while practicing using the tools provided and online through webinars. In the process of implementing the program, referring to the 2018 National Priority Promotion Projection Technical Guidelines and KIE for the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK). According to Hafied Cangara's theory, the failure of the communication strategy of the 1000 HPK KIE Parenting Promotion Program for 2018- 2020 is the absence of a research process first carried out Kepulauan Seribu Sub-Department PPAPP. 1000 HPK 2018-2020. Thus, to realize the 1000 HPK Care KIE program 2018-2020 to the fullest, a process is needed before the program is implemented so that it is right on target and the community is enthusiastic about participating in the 1000 HPK Care KIE Promotion program.

Abstract Untung Java is one of the small islands in Thousand islands. One of the most highlighted problems on this island is the accumulation of macrodebris that occurs in the coastal and mangrove ecosystems. The purpose of this study is to determine the most potential source point for distributing debris to Untung Java Island by using a hydrodynamic model and particle trajectory model of MIKE 21. The scenario of the simulation is using pre-reclamation condition in 1999 and 2019. The estuary in Jakarta Bay is illustrated as the starting point for debris transport. Five other estuaries as potential source assumption are selected, namely Cisadane, Citarum, Muara Angke, Ciliwung and Cikeas. The validation data model used tidal data from Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) Sea Level Monitoring by utilizing Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) method. The RMSE is calculated up to 0.49-12.78%. The tidal current of Jakarta Bay is simulated up to 0.015-0.375 m/s. The Cisadane estuary is the most potential source as a supplier of macrodebris to Untung Java Island due to its debris movement pattern and the nearest distance to the island.

Abstract The historic shipwreck sites are a part of the Maritime Archaeological Resources. They are currently occupying an important position as one of the non-conventional marine resources with blue economy potential in it. Sites are usually found in the conditions that have been integrated with the marine ecosystem in their environment. Some have even been completely covered with coral reefs, so that this uniqueness becomes the added value of the site for a tourist attraction. The research was carried out in Thousand Islands waters, which having kept many records of the maritime history of the Nusantara Archipelago for centuries and in their current development, the Jakarta∧s Thousand Islands are included as one of the Marine Tourism Village areas (Desa Wisata Bahari/Dewi Bahari). The purpose of this research is to determine the value of the shipwreck sites potency which are suitable for marine ecotourism development area in Thousand Islands waters and for obtaining the sustainable management model that can be integrated with the ecosystem in their environment. The research methods used sites surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews. Data processing was done by using Site Significance Assessment analysis. The result shows there are 4 (four) of historic shipwreck sites potency area in Thousand Islands waters which can be recommended as the attraction for marine ecotourism with the model of the Marine Eco Archaeological Park (MEA Park). These sites areas include 1)Shinta wreck in Pari Island waters, 2) Tabularasa wreck in Pramuka Island waters, 3) Poso wreck in Karang Congkak waters, and 4) Papatheo wreck in Sepa Island waters.

Abstract The level of sea transportation use in Indonesia is getting higher and higher, so it must be balanced with the improvement in the quality of port supporting infrastructure. The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta will revitalize Kali Adem Port, which will also be assisted by the Thousand Islands Regency Government, considering that Kali Adem Port is one of the gateways to the Thousand Islands. Kali Adem Port is a passenger port located on Jalan Dermaga, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Special Capital Region of Jakarta. Kali Adem Harbor serves tourists who want to visit several islands in the Thousand Islands, and residents of Pulau Seribu who want to buy some daily necessities from Jakarta. Passenger density, problems with access and circulation, and several other problems require this Port to improve its quality and quantity. This port should have designed to pay attention to the environment, such as applying the eco-tect theme to this building, as well as the waterfront concept to maximize the potential of the existing sea. In this design the concept of shading is applied to the facade to maximize comfort and the application of energy-saving lighting in buildings and the Port and its plazas

The focus of the discussion in this study is on the design and needs of RPTRA in communities with different environmental and cultural contexts. Including the understanding of the surrounding community who "get" the RPTRA regarding the procedures for its use and maintenance. An equally important part is the concept of "child-friendly", what kind of understanding and implementation is there, and its legal basis (particularly for the protection of children in public spaces – RPTRA). This research was conducted on Tidung Island, one of the islands in the South Thousand Islands District, Seribu Islands Regency, DKI Jakarta Province. Several things that need to be considered as a reference in the development of RPTRA in archipelagic areas based on an architectural approach: (1) Access and affordability, (2) Community involvement in RPTRA design, (3) RPTRA which also basically pays attention to children with special needs, (4) Maintaining Green Open Space compared to the existence of buildings, (5) Prioritizing activity facilities that are the choice of the surrounding community, (6) RPTRA design must pay attention to weather conditions in coastal areas, (7) Socialization to the surrounding community on the character of materials and their use, (8 ) RPTRA designer's understanding of zoning and facility classification, (9) Setting zoning activities between toddlers and youth, (10) Utilizing existing facilities outside the RPTRA. Several things that need to be considered as a reference in the development of RPTRA in archipelagic areas based on a legal approach are: (1) The legal aspects of establishing an RPTRA based on the ideal area, (2) The conception of RPTRA as accommodating the idea of a child-friendly city based on existing regulations, (3 ) Legal studies to harmonize RPTRA with the PKK Main Program based on Governor Regulation Number 40 of 2016 have not gone well, (4) Legally (based on Governor's Decree Number 349 of 2015 concerning the Implementation Team for RPTRA Development and Maintenance) the role of RPTRA managers must also be emphasized its main tasks and functions.

We work in the Aegean islet hotel-room environment a friendly design from scratch for many years with legislation, political, defense, and engineering developments. Pandemic triggered out our initial findings. As a curse threatens tourism and as a blessing, it reveals new unpreceded hospitality options. In this research paper, we outline some scientific proceeds like Coastline Paradox and investment opportunity. The Aegean Sea has several thousand islands without inhabitants and several million meters of coastline certifying the “Coastline Paradox”. The fundamental concept of a guest room on an isolated tiny island is ecological vacations in the Aegean Sea, the marooning stranded in an islet vacation, the myth creation to attract guests, and the books and media coverage of the loneliness concept. The noninhabitant islands initially will be revitalized from deserted salinity virgin lands to beautiful paradises, with new flora and fauna, human living facilities, and optionally overnight sleeping space. A huge, city-size, modular ship with service boats formulate the Aegean Highway. All these workouts establish the Aegean Island resort hotel. All islets will be used as hotel rooms hosting various tourist and business activities. Finally, we face business concepts like COVID compliance, sovereignty, Aegean-wide services, and business realization options.
