Bambu termasuk salah satu hasil hutan non kayu Indonesia yang dapat ditemukan mulai dari dataran rendah sampai dataran tinggi, hidup merumpun terdiri dari sejumlah batang yang tumbuh secara bertahap, mulai dari rebung, batang muda hingga dewasa. Identifikasi jenis-jenis bambu di Daerah Aliran Sungai Semoya Lombok Barat dilakukan berdasarkan pengamatan karakteristik morfologi bambu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis bambu pada Daerah Aliran Sungai Semoya Lombok Barat, membuat deskripsi dan kunci identifikasi, membuat dendrogram hubungan kekerabatan jenis bambu serta peta penyebaran jenis bambu pada ketinggian tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode jelajah yaitu dengan menelusuri sepanjang Daerah Aliran Sungai Semoya dari hulu sampai hilir. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di DAS Semoya diperoleh 2 kultivar, 7 jenis bambu yang termasuk ke dalam 5 marga yaitu Dendrocalamus asper, Schizostachyum bracyladum ‘Kuning’, S. bracyladum ‘Hijau’, Thyrsostachys siamensis, Gigantochloa apus, G. atter, Bambusa vulgaris, B. maculata.

ABSTRACT The contamination by microorganisms and oxidation of explants in the in vitro establishment of bamboo are recurrent problems for its micropropagation. In the present study, effects of the biocide Plant Preservative Mixture (PPM™), the antibiotic kasugamycin and the consistency of the culture medium were evaluated in the in vitro establishment of Bambusa vulgaris,Phyllostachys bambusoides and Dendrocalamus asper. The presence of PPM™ in the culture medium had a significant effect using 2 mL L-1 or 4 mL L-1 concentrations, as well as in the liquid culture medium, increasing the plants established in the autumn. Kasugamycin promoted variable responses for all the three species, depending on the season. There was interaction among the factors, demonstrating that higher rates of viable plants can be obtained by combining different strategies to reduce the oxidation and contamination. For the in vitro establishment of B. vulgaris,P. bambusoides and D. asper, it is recommended to add 2 mL L-1 or 4 mL L-1 of PPM™ to the liquid culture medium.

The objectives of this research were to evaluate bamboo-oriented strand board (BOSB) characteristics made from betung (Dendrocalamus asper), ampel (Bambusa vulgaris), and their mixtures at two different contents (3% and 5%) of methylene diphenyl di-isocyanate (MDI) adhesives. The strands were steam-treated at 126°C for 1 h under the pressure of 0.14 MPa. Three-layered BOSBs with a target density of 0.7 g/cm3 were made with the size of 30 cm x 30 cm x 0.9 cm and a shelling ratio of 1:2:1 (face:core:back layers). The physical and mechanical properties of BOSB were evaluated following JIS A 5908 (2003) standard, and the results were compared with the CSA 0437.0 Grade O-1 standard. The results show that BOSB from the mixtures of betung and ampel bamboo strands has higher dimensional stability as shown by the decrease in water absorption and thickness swelling and higher mechanical properties than single BOSB. All BOSBs with 5% resin content have higher dimensional stability, MOE, and MOR than BOSB with 3% resin content. The physical and mechanical properties of all BOSB manufactured met the CSA 0437.0 Grade O-1 standard. This study proved that BOSBs from the mixture of betung and ampel strands have the potential to be developed due to having better physical and mechanical qualities than a single BOSB. O bambu é uma gramínea pertencente à família Poaceae, da subfamília Bambusoideae com ampla distribuição geográfi ca. No Brasil é registrado uma das maiores diversidades desse grupo no mundo. É crescente o interesse de diversos nichos do mercado neste produto, como fi bras, construção civil, móveis. Sendo assim, pesquisas que demonstrem de forma simples como esta cultura pode ser implementada através da produção de mudas é essencial para o setor fl orestal. O objetivo foi identifi car melhores formas de propagação de duas espécies de bambu, Dendrocalamus asper e Bambusa vulgaris. As estacas foram obtidas a partir das gemas principais inseridas no colmo, sendo confeccionadas com três gemas cada. Após foram colocadas para enraizar em quatro diferentes tratamentos, pátio de rustifi cação sem sombreamento, pátio de rustifi cação com sombreamento de 50%, casa de vegetação e casa de sombra. Cada tratamento composto por quatro repetições, dezesseis estacas por parcela. As mudas foram conduzidas em tubetes com substrato comercial. Após 90 dias foram feitas as avaliações nas estacas quanto a porcentagem de enraizamento, comprimento de brotações, quantidade de raízes e porcentagem de morte de estacas. Não observamos diferenças signifi cativas quanto aos tratamentos, ou seja, os locais de condução das mudas. Porém, observamos diferenças quanto a espécie, a espécie B. vulgaris foi mais efi ciente na produção de mudas. Pois, a porcentagem de enraizamento, o comprimento de brotações e a quantidade de raízes. Dessa forma, podemos concluir que essa espécie é de mais fácil propagação e melhorias no processo podem ser necessárias para espécies de maior difi culdade de enraizamento.

The search for sustainable fuels has become important for the development of energy generation in balance with the environment. Brazil has climatic conditions and a vast territory for the production of forest biomass. The research produced in the laboratory determines the gravimetric yield, upper calorific value, percentages of fixed carbon, volatile and ashes of the charcoals of bamboo species: Bambusa vulgaris var vittatta, Dendrocalamus asper and Phyllostachys pubescens. For the carbonization process, small pieces of bamboo were obtained, were dried in the stove at 100°C for 24 hours, the dried mass was weighed and added in a carbonizer heated to 150°C for 45 minutes, heated to 180°C for 45 minutes and heated to 210°C for 30 minutes, this charcoal was then cooled and  weighed to calculate the gravimetric yield. The samples were pulverized in a pot mill, the upper calorific value in a calorimeter was determined. The volatile, fixed carbon and ash contents were determined according to the Brazilian MB-15 method. The results obtained for the species B. vittatta, D. asper and P. pubescens, were respectively: gravimetric yield 44.08%, 42.77% and 47.09%; calorific value 28.806kJ/g, 29.075kJ/g and 28.489kJ/g; percentage of fixed carbon 62.1%, 66.09% and 57.8%; percentage of volatiles 35.89%, 30.92% and 40.4%; ash percentage 2.01%, 2.99% and 1.8%. It was observed that the D. asper specie presented better results in the general context of the analysis carried out because, despite presenting a slightly lower gravimetric yield, it presented the higher calorific value and higher fixed carbons content.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis bambu, membuat kunci identifikasi, deskripsi, membuat dendogram hubungan kekerabatan antar jenis bambu, peta persebaran bambu di Daerah Aliran Sungai Tiupupus Lombok Utara dan persebaran jenis-jenis bambu pada tiap ketinggian. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode jelajah, yakni kolektor menjelajahi Daerah Aliran Sungai untuk mengoleksi semua jenis bambu yang ada di sepanjang sungai utama (6.576 meter), 50 meter dari tepi kiri dan kanan palung sungai. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 9 jenis dan 1 varietas yang termasuk ke dalam anggota dari 5 marga yaitu Dendrocalamus asper, Thyrsostachys siamensis, Schizostachyum jaculans, Gigantochloa atter, Gigantochloa apus, Bambusa glaucophylla, Bambusa multiplex, Bambusa maculata, Bambusa vulgaris, dan Bambusa vulgaris var. vittata.  Kata Kunci:  Keanekaragaman Bambu, Sungai Tiupupus  Lombok Utara

Tumbuhan bambu merupakan tumbuhan yang memiliki banyak manfaat. Hal ini terlihat dari masih banyak ditemukannya tumbuhan ini di kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian  mengenai studi keanekaragaman bambu ini dilakukan di Desa Tanjung Terdana Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman tumbuhan bambu di Desa Tanjung Terdana Bengkulu Tengah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode jelajah. Pencatatan langsung di lapangan dilakukan untuk banyak rumpun, keterangan botani, nama daerah, dan data ekologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan 4 marga bambu dengan 8 jenis yaitu Gigantochloa pseudoarundinaceae, Bambusa multiplex, Dendrocalamus asper, Gigantochloa serik, Gigantochloa robusta, Schyzotyum lima, Bambusa vulgaris var.vulgaris, dan Gigantochloa apus.Kata Kunci : keanekaragaman jenis, bambu, desa Tanjung Terdana

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS berdasarkan jenis-jenis bambu di Desa Harapan Makmur Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan metode R&D. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, jenis bambu di Desa Harapan Makmur yang terdiri atas 4 marga bambu dengan 5 jenis bambu yaitu , Bambusa vulgaris var.striata, Bambusa multiplex, Gigantochloa robusta, Schizostachyum lima, dan Dendrocalamus asper. Hasil pengembangan LKS berdasarkan studi identifikasi jenis bambu Desa Harapan Makmur dapat digunakan untuk melatih keterampilan proses dalam proses pembelajaran IPA siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Pondok Kubang Bengkulu Tengah pada materi klasifikasi tumbuhan berdasarkan ciri morfologi dan kunci determinasinya dengan rerata nilai keterampilan 3,82 berkategori sangat baik dan tuntas.Kata kunci: Bambu, Pengembangan LKS, Keterampilan Proses

Abstrak : Sungai Keremit terletak di Joben Resort, Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani, Lombok, yang memiliki ketinggian 661m-848m di atas permukaan laut, di sungai Keremit terdapat berbagai jenis tanaman, salah satunya adalah bambu yang tumbuh di sempadan sungai, palung, tebing dan tepi sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui spesies bambu, kunci identifikasi, deskripsi, hubungan kekerabatan antar spesies bambu, peta distribusi bambu di sempadan sungai Keremit, Resort Joben, Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani, Lombok. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode garis, mengumpulkan semua spesies bambu di sepanjang sempadan sungai Keremit yang diambil pada area 50 meter dari tepi kiri dan kanan palung sungai. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi ditemukan 4 marga bambu, dengan 6 spesies dan 1 kultivar (cv), di sempadan sungai Keremit, Resort Joben, Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani, Lombok, yaitu Schizostachyum jaculans, Gigantochloa atter, Gigantochloa apus, Dendrocalamus sp., Dendrocalamus asper, Bambusa vulgaris, dan 1 kultivar bambu, yaitu Bambusa vulgaris cv. Vittata.Kata kunci : Bambu, Tepi Sungai, Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani, Lombok.Abstract : Keremit river is located in Joben Resort, Rinjani Mount National Park, Lombok, which has an altitude of 661m-848m above sea level, in the Keremit river there are various types of plants, one of which is bamboo which grows on the edge of the trough, cliffs and river banks. This study aims to determine the species of bamboo, identification keys, description, relationship between bamboo species, bamboos distribution map at the border of the Keremit river, Resort Joben, Rinjani Mount National Park, Lombok. Samples collections were conducted using the line sampling method, collecting all species of bamboo in the border of the Keremit river were taken from the area of 50 meters from the left and right edges of the riverbed. Based on the identification results was 4 genera of bamboos, with 6 species and 1 cultivated variety in the border of Keremit river, Joben Resort, Rinjani Mount National Park, Lombok, namely Schizostachyum jaculans, Gigantochloa atter, Gigantochloa apus, Dendrocalamus sp., Dendrocalamus asper, Bambusa vulgaris, and 1 cultivated variety of bamboo, namely Bambusa vulgaris cv Vittata.
