This study is required by students to understand directly the circulatory system in humans with the three dimensional tools of human circulatory system. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of three dimensional tools on science process skills of human circulatory system on circulation process material of senior high school students. The design of this study used was pretest-posttest control group design, in this design, there were two groups selected at random, then given pretest and postes. The study was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya. The period of this study was July 2014 - April 2015. The sample of the study was the students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya in XI class on the first semester, as many as two classes of experimental class and control class with the number of control class students was 29 students, experimental class was 21 students. Data collection was tested with multiple choice questions to measure students learning outcomes, observation sheet to measure students' science process skill and using N gain then analyzed by t test. The results showed that the three dimensional tools of human circulatory system has a very significant effect on the improvement of science process skills with the most dominant indicator is in the observation. Based on the result of the study can be concluded that the use of three dimensional tools of human circulatory system can improve the science process skills of senior high school students.

This research aims to describe the characteristic of ATSPS test for measuring students’s analytical thinking and science process skills of chemistry. This research involved 188 students of XI grade of four senior high schools in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. ATSPS test consists of 15 essay items. The result of tryout was polytomous data and was analyzed with Partial Credit Model 1-Parameter Logistic (PCM 1-PL) using Winsteps 3.73. The result on the field tryout stage based on the lowest and the highest limit Outfit MNSQ 0.5 and 1.5, all tryout test items were stated fit with the PCM 1-PL. Alpha Cronbach coefficient based on CTT is 0.70. The difficulty level of question items was good, because of the range –0.74 to +1.24 logit. Maximum score of test information function is on the ability –0.1 with information score 9.164 and standard error of measurement 0.33. Therefore, ATSPS test is suitable for measuring the analytical thinking and science process skills of senior high school students.

Science Process Skills (SPS) are the essential abilities which need to be mastered in learning biology to strengthen students’ learning outcomes. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between SPS and biology Cognitive Learning Outcome (CLO) of senior high school students. The sample was 100 tenth graders in Malang. The correlational study used two test types as the instrument (i.e. essay and multiple choice). The essay instrument consisted of 10 items which were developed from SPS aspects (basic and integrated skills). Meanwhile, the biology CLO was measured using multiple choice test which consisted of 30 items. The collected data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the highest students’ SPS aspect was observing (78.84%), while the lowest was predicting aspect (27.30%). In addition, the highest achievement of students’ biology CLO was C1 (94.23%), while the lowest was C6 (33.46%). The regression analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between students’ SPS and biology CLO, where the equation was Y = 27.988 + 0.311X.  Therefore, it is crucial to consider SPS to be integrated into a learning activity by using various learning models that empowering these skills to improve students’ biology CLO.
