The article considers the history of the pediatric surgery department of N. N. Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University. The department was founded in 1947. Based on the results of the research undertaken by associates of the department by now, 3 manuals for doctors and students and 12 collections of scientifc papers were issued and 12 investor’s certifcates were obtained. The role of the Student’s scientifc circle was noted: the students struck 5 gold medals during the last fve years. During the last 8 years, the scientifc circle was considered the best and was awarded a gold medal and frstclass honours degree. A close interrelation between the research work of associates of the pediatric surgery department and practical work of pediatric surgeons from the Central Black Earth region was underlined.

Статья посвящена недостаточно изученному вопросу в истории российской психологии - деятельности отечественных психологов в годы Первой мировой войны. Авторы обобщили найденные на данный момент сведения о нахождении и роли разных психологов как в военных событиях, так и в научной и общественной жизни того времени. Представляются три группы персоналий в зависимости от того, в каком положении по отношению к военным действиям они оказались: участие в действующей армии; пребывание в Германии во время войны в качестве пленного гражданского лица; жизнь и научная деятельность в тылу. Среди психологов, которые служили в армии во время Первой мировой войны, рассматриваются биографические данные и воспоминания П.Н. Шефтеля, Г.Я. Трошина, В.Ф, Чижа, А.Б. Залкинда, И.А. Арямова, Л.Н. Войтоловского, А.А. Смирнова, Б.М. Теплова, М.Я. Басова, Л.А. Бызова, М.В. Шика. К группе психологов, которые оказались в Германии во время войны, относятся А.О. Маковельский, А.Ф. Лосев, И.Н. Шпильрейн, Н.Е. Румянцев. Описываются результаты научных событий, состоявшихся в России в годы Первой мировой войны, - Третий и Четвертый Всероссийские съезды по экспериментальной педагогике, исследовательские работы в Психологическом институте им. Л.Г. Щукиной, коллективные публикации. Отмечается, что обращение к деятельности психологов во время Первой мировой войны является важным с позиций не только истории психологии, но и исторической психологии: кроме изучения жизненного пути персоналий и анализа результатов научных исследований этого периода представляет интерес и описание образа и роли ученого в военное время, особенностей научной активности в военных условиях. Авторы статьи призывают профессиональное сообщество дополнить список персоналий, которые принимали участие в Первой мировой войне и на которых война оказала значимое влияние, и другими именами. The article is devoted to an insufficiently studied issue in the history of Russian psychology - the activities of Russian psychologists during the First World War. The authors summarized the information found to date about the location and role of various psychologists both in military events and in the scientific and social life of that time. Three groups of personalities are presented, depending on the position in which they found themselves in relation to military operations: participation in the active army; stay in Germany during the war as a captured civilian; life and scientific activities in the rear. Among psychologists who served in the army during the First World War, the authors describe the biographical data and memories of P.N. Sheftel, G. Ya. Troshin, V.F. Chizh, A.B. Zalkind, I.A. Aryamov, L.N. Voitolovsky, A.A. Smirnov, B.M. Teplov, M.Ya. Basov, L.A. Byzov, M.V. Shik. The group of psychologists who remained in Germany includes A.O. Makovelsky, A.F. Losev, I.N. Spielrein, N.E. Rumyantsev. The article describes the results of scientific events in Russia that took place during the First World War - the Third and Fourth All-Russian congresses on experimental pedagogy, research work at the Psychological institute named after L.G. Shchukina, collective publications. It is noted that the appeal to the activities of psychologists during the First World War is important from the standpoint of both history of psychology and historical psychology: in addition to studying the life path of personalities and analyzing the results of scientific research of this period, it is also of interest to describe the image and role of a scientist in wartime, features of scientific activity in war conditions. The authors of the article urge the professional community to add other names to the list of personalities who took part in the First World War and on whom the war had a significant impact.

Student research activity is one of the most important forms of the education and the driving force of quality assurance activities. Ukraine has developed a regulatory and legal framework that ensures high-quality research work, which should meet the needs of future specialists in intellectual and professional development and increase their professional competence. The involvement in research work requires, first of all, gaining deep theoretical and practical knowledge in medicine, well-designed extra-curricular activities to guide students in their mastering methodology of scientific research and developing research skills, and university promotion. The experience of Poltava State Medical University convincingly proves that the most effective means of improving the quality of training is the regular active involvement of students in research activity. The role of scientific knowledge in higher education is decisive, since the active participation of the teaching staff in fostering research skills makes it possible to demonstrate the latest scientific achievements and their practical application. Structured research activities, woven into the medical school curriculum provide an opportunity to evince the intellectual potential of both students and educators, to contribute to deeper investigation of medical problems, to master the methods of scientific investigation, and to realize the importance of such activity in increasing one's competitiveness in the labour market. This approach also contributes to better comprehension of professional information, to develop mindset associated with high professionalism. Pathophysiology as a discipline is at the junction of theoretical and clinical disciplines that serves as a wide background to meet the diversity of students’ scientific demands and interests. Involving students into structured research activities not only promotes gaining special knowledge, but also builds up ethical and deontological foundations of future successful medical research career; enhances team spirit and cooperation between students and educators. This interaction enables in clearly stating their focus and research question, engaging in an adequate critical discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the study methods, and offering conclusions that are properly qualified in the scope given the evidence gathered and analyzed. This department is proud to maintain a high university rank on student research results performance among the non-clinical departments. The culmination of knowledge in this developmental trajectory can reinforced and extend other aspects of high quality training.

Melasma is characterized by brown patches, typically on malar prominences and forehead. The pigmented patches are usually affect darker complexioned individual especially Asian. So it is a great problem in our country. A clinical trial was conducted to find out the effect of the combination of 20% azelaic acid cream with 0.05% tretinoin cream in the treatment of melasma. Thirty clinically diagnosed cases of melasma attending the outpatient department of Dermatology and Venereology, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, were enrolled Majority of !he study subjects (43%) were between 26 to 30 years and most of them (73.3%) were female. Regarding occupation 56.7% were housewife. Out of the study subjects 70% were married and 86.7% were of middle class. Around 66.7% cases had positive family history of melasma and maximum 93.3% patient had no history of systemic drug and the maxim11m 73.3% patient had no history of use of cosmetics. It was observed that highest (93.3%) number of patients had malar area involvement and 6. 7% had centro-facial area involvement. The st11dy showed that after treatment, the average MASI (Melasma Area and Severity Index) score was decreased by 38 66% indicating moderate reduction of the severity of melasma Out of the study subjects, 50%, 30%, 16% developed burning sensation, itching and erythema respectively It could be concluded that combination of 20% azelaic acid and 0.05% tretinoin cream, has a moderate lightening effect in the treatment of melasma. The article gives a brief overview of the results of the research and scientific contribution of the folklore sector’s staff members to the formation and replenishment of the manuscript collection of Khakass Research Institute of Lan-guage, Literature and History. The research activity of the folklore sector is important in preservation and revival of Khakass culture – its language, history, traditions and art. Scientific expeditions contributed to the origin and develop-ment of the Khakass folklore. The pre-revolutionary period of the Khakass folklore is associated with the names of ear-ly researchers of history, ethnography of the Khakass people. An active study of the Khakass folklore begins in the 20th century, primarily due to the opening of KhakRILLH. in 1944. In 1945 the first expedition on folklore and language was organized. The staff of the institute collected a huge fund of folklore texts: heroic legends, tales, myths, legends, traditions, proverbs, sayings, riddles, recordings of live speech of different dialects. The replenishment of the manuscript collection with folklore materials was also contributed by the holding of re-gional contests “Aitys”. The opening of the folklore sector in 1994, marked a new stage in the systematic collection of empirical material from experts of oral folk art. Research work of the members of the folklore sector solve urgent prob-lems of the Khakass folklore. A purposeful study of the monuments of oral folk art for familiarization with the cultural traditions, customs and history of the Khakass people contributes to the implementation of the tasks which are set for the sector.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to find prior research work on brand co-creation and the role of different stakeholders in brand co-creation and to come up with a conceptual model that can be empirically validated. Design/methodology/approach A keyword approach has been used to find earlier published papers on co-creation and the role of different stakeholders in co-creation. The focus was more on brand co-creation. The inclusion criteria are empirical or conceptual research papers, books, conference papers, peer reviewed and published in English language journals. As the topic is encompassing various themes, a wide variety of academic resources were reviewed. Findings The history of literature brings forth the two major stakeholders consumers and organizations. The importance of third important stakeholder, i.e. suppliers has been mostly overlooked. However, previous studies show that appropriately managed supplier involvement can diminish product and brand development time and cost and it may provide access to newer technologies and better quality. Hence, for a successful brand co-creation one must not forget the importance of suppliers. Along with the motives and outcomes of brand co-creation from consumer and organization perspective this research aims to look into the supplier perspective of the brand co-creation framework. Originality/value This is the first academic literature review on brand co-creation from a triadic stakeholder perspective of consumers, organizations and suppliers. Also there is no comprehensive model that exists for brand co-creation looking at its input and its overall outcome. This review provides a bibliography of academic literature from 1959 to 2018 covering 150 journals.

The article is devoted to the history of establishing the Department of Pediatric Surgery and UrologyAndrology of theSechenovUniversity. The role of the first PD of the EmperorMoscowUniversity and founder of pediatric surgery as a science Leonty P. Aleksandrov was described. He organized a course devoted to pediatric surgical diseases in 1893 and was the head physician of Saint Olga’sPediatricHospital. He also founded the Society of Pediatric Surgeons inMoscow, and was an initiator of the meeting of Russian surgeons conducting serious work on the organization of meetings of Russian surgeons in memory of N. I. Pirogov. In 2008, he founded a Department of Pediatric Surgery and Urology-Andrology of theFirstMoscowStateUniversitynamed after I. M. Sechenov. The article describes therapeutic, research, organizational and pedagogical work of the department since its establishment till now.

The article considers the role of merchant libraries in the history of the city. The reviewed books open a new publishing series of the scientific library of Irkutsk University, dedicated to merchant libraries of Irkutsk. Its publications provide an opportunity to get familiar with the old book collections of Irkutsk residents, know more about the interest in books and reading in our city as well as the history of private libraries. The first book in the series, published in 2019, was dedicated to the book collection of the largest Irkutsk merchant, the philanthropist and bibliophile V.N. Basnin, whose estate was one of the largest cultural salons in Irkutsk in the first half of the 19th century. The book under review contains the most complete catalog of Basnin’s library, which he had been collecting for more than 40 years. It should be noted that he was not only a reader, but also quite a professional bibliographer, ordered by mail novelty books, making their systematization and description. The second book in the series is dedicated to other merchant libraries. Its compilers have done a lot of research work to find these publications, systematize them and identify their owners. The catalog presented by the Irkutsk State University library most fully reflects the merchants’ interest in printed publications. It includes 969 book titles, reflecting 1 194 editions with exlibrises, autographs and notes of their owners. Despite the purely bibliographic nature of the peer-reviewed publications, which are considered in the research, they are of interest to different groups of people. The author notes the importance of the books not only to library workers, but also to all the readers who are not indifferent to the history of cultural life in Irkutsk, as well as to the role of books and home libraries in personality development and formation of human abilities.
