Student research activity is one of the most important forms of the education and the driving force of quality assurance activities. Ukraine has developed a regulatory and legal framework that ensures high-quality research work, which should meet the needs of future specialists in intellectual and professional development and increase their professional competence. The involvement in research work requires, first of all, gaining deep theoretical and practical knowledge in medicine, well-designed extra-curricular activities to guide students in their mastering methodology of scientific research and developing research skills, and university promotion. The experience of Poltava State Medical University convincingly proves that the most effective means of improving the quality of training is the regular active involvement of students in research activity. The role of scientific knowledge in higher education is decisive, since the active participation of the teaching staff in fostering research skills makes it possible to demonstrate the latest scientific achievements and their practical application. Structured research activities, woven into the medical school curriculum provide an opportunity to evince the intellectual potential of both students and educators, to contribute to deeper investigation of medical problems, to master the methods of scientific investigation, and to realize the importance of such activity in increasing one's competitiveness in the labour market. This approach also contributes to better comprehension of professional information, to develop mindset associated with high professionalism. Pathophysiology as a discipline is at the junction of theoretical and clinical disciplines that serves as a wide background to meet the diversity of students’ scientific demands and interests. Involving students into structured research activities not only promotes gaining special knowledge, but also builds up ethical and deontological foundations of future successful medical research career; enhances team spirit and cooperation between students and educators. This interaction enables in clearly stating their focus and research question, engaging in an adequate critical discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the study methods, and offering conclusions that are properly qualified in the scope given the evidence gathered and analyzed. This department is proud to maintain a high university rank on student research results performance among the non-clinical departments. The culmination of knowledge in this developmental trajectory can reinforced and extend other aspects of high quality training.

Introduction: modernization of Russian education is the central task of Russian educational policy. One of its distinctive features is the transition from the teaching and educational to the scientific and educational process, which allows the introduction of students' research work into it. A feature of the work of a practicing physician is the ability to analyze his own activities from a scientific point of view, knowledge and ability to work with methods of clinical research. Based on this, changes were made to the legislation, and in accordance with the Federal Standards2016 in the specialty of “Medicine”, a graduate who has mastered the program in his specialty should have professional competences that, along with competences in the field of medical activity, include competencies in research activities. Also, in accordance with the Federal Law of 21.11.2011 No. 323-FZ “Concerning the Basics of Citizen Health Protection in the Russian Federation”, a new system of continuous medical and pharmaceutical education was introduced, being aimed at continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills throughout the entire working period of medical workers as well as the acquisition in practice of new professional skills.Psychological readiness of students for professional activity is a question that has been discussed by the scientific community for quite a long period of time. The structure of this construct has also been repeatedly discussed by many authors, but there is no consensus on this issue. The article presents the points of views of various scientists on the problem of readiness for research activities. The structure is proposed, which is a synthesis of several components: motivational, operational, and reflexive-evaluative ones. Many scientists studied this issue both Russian and foreign ones (L.S. Vygotsky, E.P. Ilyin, A.N. Leontyev, A.N. Poddyakov, E.A. Shashenkova, Zier K. Rosenberg I.E., Dantas J.B., Ley T.J., Rosenberg I.E., Solomon S.S., Tom S.C. et al.) Special attention is paid to the motivational component of psychological readiness for the research activities of future doctors. The problem of the necessity to develop this component is being actualized.Materials and methods: 76 students of the 1st course of the medical and pediatric faculties of thePrivolzhskyResearchMedicalUniversity were randomly selected for this study. The study was carried out in 3 stages: diagnostic, training, final diagnostic. At the initial and final stages 2 diagnostic procedures were used. The first one is the methodics for diagnosing the motives of students' learning activities according to A.A. Rean and V.A. Yakunin modified by N.Ts. Badmaeva. In this method, there are seven grading scales: scale 1 "Communicative motives"; scale 2 “Motives for avoiding failure”; scale 3 "Motives of prestige"; scale 4 "Professional motives"; scale 5 "Motives for creative self-realization"; scale 6 "Educational and cognitive motives"; scale 7 "Social motives". 2) Methods of studying the motivation of learning in the university by T.I. Ilyin ". The method presents three scales: “the acquisition of knowledge” (the desire to acquire knowledge, curiosity); “Mastering a profession” (striving to master professional knowledge and form professionally important qualities); "Obtaining a diploma" (the desire to acquire a diploma in the formal assimilation of knowledge, the desire to find workarounds for exams and tests). The results of the study: statistical results before and after the training in the framework of English language classes at the medical university demonstrate changes in the motivational field of students.Discussion and conclusions: the implementation of a collective training program in foreign language classes with the aim of the motivational component development to research activities of students at a medical university can be considered as an effective tool for the development of psychological readiness for further professional medical activity. It emphasizes the need for an integrated approach to solving this problem.

The article deals with projecting that is an important component of the formation of a new pedagogical ideology - lifelong learning. Projecting as an educational function of the pedagogical system, becomes an important factor in human success, generating new ideas and continuous updating of outdated knowledge. It is analyzed that the practice of projecting is so widespread that in a relatively short period of time within the pedagogical system project types of work at different levels of government are actively implemented. In particular, teachers project educational programs, pedagogical technologies, including educational, upbringing, development subsystems. Thus, the preparation of teachers for design activities becomes relevant, and this in turn determines the understanding of the productive application of projecting logic, the formation of technologies for such activities. Project activity is multifaceted and multifunctional, as it allows to form both engineering skills and abilities, as well as psychological and pedagogical. The psychological basis of didactic projecting is the readiness of the individual to constantly improve their competence, mobility of professional functions. In fact, it is a question of training at the university of an engineer-teacher-professional, competent in the main spheres of pedagogical activity. Training of vocational training establishment students, that is aimed at developing the projecting activity related knowledge, skills, and abilities among prospective engineer-educators is supposed to essentially scale up the vocational training quality with high education establishment graduates, to foster development of their professional mobility and competitiveness in the labor market. Hence it is necessary to ensure high level of professional competence among the graduates, which, in turn, is supposed to provide for involvement of each student into high-quality educational and learning; to provide for building up the core research activity features with prospecting professionals, for building up the skills to gain individually up-front knowledge and put it efficiently into practice. The so called educational projecting, being an option for the implementation of high-quality education concept, fully complies with the said requirements.
