The results of the study of the resource potential of Lelchitsky and adjacent regions are presented. It is shown that the raw materials for the production of crushed stone and natural stone in the amount of 1 million m3 is actively extracted in the region with the prospect of volume increasing up to 10 million m3. In addition, peat and sapropel are mined for the production of organic fertilizers, feed additives and drilling fluids. Brown coal and bentonite clay deposits are promising for mining. Peat, sapropel and brown coal should be considered to be raw materials for complex deep processing with the release of more products and materials with high added value. The obtained results allow to conclude that the development of Lelchitsky region and the economic feasibility of building Polesie section of the railway is possible only through integrated development and the most complete use of the entire resource base of the region.

This article studies the possibility of intensification of Kharanorskoe deposit brown coal alkaline activation by way of electromagnetic microwave radiation (EMR) exposure in order to obtain sorbents. There is data that presents investigation of qualitative and adsorption properties of sorbents obtained from 0-2 mm brown coal samples impregnated with potassium hydroxide at a KOH / coal of 1 g / g weight ratio and subjected to thermolysis at 800 °C in the thermal shock mode. The authors carried out a detailed analysis of three options for thermal treatment of the coal-alkali mixture ahead of thermolysis: coalalkali mixture drying to indiscrete mass, EMR treatment and combination of ones. The design of a laboratory microwave oven for heat treatment of raw materials based on the use of EMR at a frequency of 2,450 MHz is presented. It was found out that the effect of electromagnetic microwave radiation with a frequency of 2.450 MHz makes it possible to increase the adsorption activity on iodine by 4-6%, reaching a value of 97%, to significantly shorten the time of preliminary heat treatment of the coalalkali mixture and to shorten the thermolysis time when sorbents obtain.

AbstractDemand for high-value petroleum products is increasing and crude oils and their distillation products are becoming heavier. The thermal cracking of a vacuum residue (VR) from REB (Russian Export Blend) crude oil was carried out in an autoclave. LCO (light cycle oil), naphtha, and brown coal (BC) were added with the aim of studying their effect on the final products composition. The elemental analysis (%C, %N, %H, %S) was performed and dynamic viscosity, density, GC of gases (“Refinery Gas Analysis”), solubility in hexane and toluene, and simulated distillation were examined in raw materials, gaseous, and liquid products. As anticipated, due to its high aromatics content, the addition of LCO proved the best option, obtaining the highest yield of lighter liquids. The naphtha addition resulted in a slight increment of heavier products in the gaseous phase and higher yields to solids. The literature does not contain any extensive studies of the addition of BC to VR in the hydrovisbreaking process. The addition of BC resulted in an increment in the yield of the gaseous product and assumed the highest relative total consumption of hydrogen during the reaction.

In article the results of study of vapor gasification of peat, brown coal and wood raw materials of Tver region are given for obtaining the gas enriched with hydrogen. Elemental composition of materials under study as well as the gas being formed and ash was presented. Ratio between hydrogen and carbon monoxide in formed synthesis gas allowes to make conclusion on his possible application in Fisher-Tropsch proceses or for methanol synthesis.
