- In today’s situation involuntary classifications remain existence favoured over physical system. Home automation is playing significant part in humanoid lifespan. The paper is used intended for nursing and controlling the home-grown utilizations via World Wide Web which container interconnect through home automation system through an Internet entry, by means of announcement conventions. Home automation scheme uses the hand-held or vesture diplomacies as a user boundary. This paper goals at supervisory household utilizations via Smartphone using Bluetooth as announcement etiquette and interfaced with Arduino Board. It assimilates Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor, Temperature sensor, gas sensor, Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor. At this time PIR sensor and Temperature sensors remained used for controlling the spotlight and fan. The statement through attendant permits the operator to excellent the fitting device. In the proposed organization an android app was developed to access the system wherever via Internet of things. The gas device used to designate the absorption of gas in the air. Buzzer attentive is given to warm others neighbouring home and also the possessor through internet via the smart receiver. The LDR is used to switch garden spotlight. This project provides a low cost and competent Homegrown Computerization System.

The home automation system is indeed a system that offers a mobile application to monitor it through the smartphone or tablet. It can control home appliances like light, fans, air conditions, and smart security locks, etc. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is used for remote control of things. Smart home is essentially how it looks: automating with such an easy touch of a button or a voice command the ability to manage things across the home. Several operations were both simple and extremely low-cost, such as setting up a light to turn on and off at the time of your moment. Others need much more money and resources, including advanced spy cameras. Some people thought that technology is taking a really huge part of our lives. It does! we’re living in a modern generation where smart and intelligent systems are necessary to be there wherever we are to make our lives easier and much better, for example, we can do many things faster, better, and more accurate.

Home and building security are major concern in our daily life and digital smart door lock (DSDL) have become an essential part of these systems. In this paper, a secure DSDL which can grant access to home with a fingerprint is designed and implemented. An Arduino Nano microcontroller board, finger print sensor and servo motor have been utilized for lock/unlock door based on finger print. The DSDL is an automatic authenticate and validate the user for secure access. The implemented system aims to develop a cost−effective DSDL based on low−cost components compared to the systems already on the domestic market. The−ease of−use and cost−effectiveness makes the DSDL a strong competitor to the digital security system on the domestic market and outperforms it and suitable for security–based home automation systems.

Elderly people prefer to live independently despite being vulnerable to age-related challenges. Constant monitoring is required in cases where the elderly are living alone. The home environment can be a dangerous environment for the elderly due to adverse events that can occur at any time. The potential risks for the elderly living independently can be categorised as injury in the home, home environmental risks, and inactivity due to unconsciousness. The aim of this paper is to discuss the development of a low-cost Smart Home Environment (SHE) that can support risk and safety monitoring for the elderly living independently. An unobtrusive and low cost SHE prototype that uses a Raspberry Pi 3 model B, a Microsoft Kinect Sensor and an Aeotec 4-in-1 Multisensor was designed and implemented. An experimental evaluation was conducted to determine the accuracy with which the prototype SHE detected abnormal events. The results show that the prototype has a mean accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of 94%, 96.92% and 88.93% respectively. The sensitivity shows that the chance of the prototype missing a risk situation is 3.08%, and the specificity shows that the chance of incorrectly classifying a non-risk situation is 11.07%.

The main objective of this paper is to develop a smart home using NodeMCU with the help of LabVIEW software. As technology is advancing, surroundings are also getting smarter. As a part of this smart development, modern houses are shifting from conventional switches to centralized control systems. The conventional system makes it difficult for the elderly and physically challenged to operate. So, this home automation system provides the best modern solution. In this home automation system, we use LabVIEW connected to NodeMCU which is a low-cost open-source IoT platform that helps in controlling lights, fans and to detect temperature, gas. LabVIEW is engineering software that provides rapid access to hardware and data insights. It makes the operation easy and helps us avoid bulk connections. Creating this type of integrated advanced technology helps we move faster into a new modern world. Home automation avail oneself of LabVIEW is tested and compared with existing standard ways. The planned system contains an easy structure, economically value effective, and versatile scaling up for a correct automatic home future.
